Reviews for Hotel Chesa Grischa
Review 1:Quiet, friendly reception, good restaurant on location, direct access to cross-country ski loops (which we would have used if we had brought skis along). Very nice rooms.
Review 2:-10:30 checkout -Staff being loudly told off in front of clients by another staff member, perhaps the owner? -We booked 3 nights and later got asked if we would agree to change rooms for the last night to help them out with another booking... We agreed to help out... Then had to wait at the reception for an hour to get the new room. Then on the last night when we asked if they could help us out with a 1 hour later checkout they refused ...
Review 3:-Free parking -Friendly young lady at the reception -In front of bus stop
Review 4:They charged us for the cup of hot water their restaurant very expensive and much below abatage food
Review 5:Unstable internet connection
Review 6:Great location, scenic mountain and lake views
Review 7:The picture of the hotel on the website was slightly deceptive in that it gave the appearance of 'isolation', i.e. that the hotel was in the middle of a field/meadow by a lake, with no other city buildings alongside. However, in reality, the hotel was at the end of a village street, next to other dwellings, and right on the road. So not quite as expected and there was no direct access to the lake in front/by the hotel - you had to walk further back. Unfortunately, when the wind was blowing in a certain direction, the smell outside was very agrarian (like sillage?), at which times it made it impossible to sit outside on the balcony - a feature we'd especially booked. The room was quite small for a deluxe room, especially the bathroom, which could only take one person at a time. Servicing of the room seemed variable. Although the heat of summer had gone, the room was quite hot and we found it hard to sleep even with the windows open and the balcony door ajar. Lack of air conditioning in the summer season would be a problem.
Review 8:The on-site restaurant was very convenient and the head waiter was excellent - very professional. The girls at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was within easy walking distance to the village of Sils Maria and its lake, and to catch buses to other locations.
Review 9:The problem probably stemmed from yourselves - for just a chf 4.00reduction on the room price per day, we had no chance to choose the kindof room we would have liked. Do you always only have more or less thecheapest rooms available for marginally less? We know Sils well, thehotel has a good location overlooking the lake and we ended up in acramped room overlooking the road. Thus, we shall think twice beforeusing your services again.
Review 10:The staff were all very friendly and made us feel at home.
Review 11:Nothing major. Would like to see more local/ traditional food for halfboard guests. The lighting is a little bright at dinner, candles on thetable were nice but rendered pointless under bright lights! I'm surehowever the staff would happily dim them if asked though. Plug socketsin room didn't fit my travel adaptor so was busy charging my phone inthe breakfast room each morning.
Review 12:Perfect 3 star hotel, welcoming attentive staff, beautiful and excellentlocation for cross country skiing and with a bus stop outside the hotelthe slopes are only 5 mins away. Food on half board was good, thebreakfast was a continental offering but no hot options, dinner was 4courses and was more global cuisine, personally I would've preferredlocal food. The room was basic and of a size to be expected, clean withen suite, flat screen tv, safe and room for all our kit. Sauna, heatedboot room , ski garage. Parking for the car. The bar in the hotel had agood crowd at lunch but don't expect any après ski activity as itspretty quiet.
Review 13:Rooms need to be updated
Review 14:Good staff
Review 15:Its beautiful position. Good breakfast and substantial (and good quality, but without a choice) dinner available under the half-board arrangement.
Review 16:No Elevator, narrow staircase, no Kur card for transportation as in other hotels
Review 17:Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Excellent restaurant. Great breakfast buffet. Perfect contact with the owner's family and staff.
Review 18:Ski trek,and neicheri.
