Reviews for AmdenLodge - Bienenheim Naturhostel
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:Stunning location, awesome views Oliver was very friendly and helpful Room was very comfortable, and clean Amazing kitchen facilities - we could cook anything!! Free coffee machine
Review 3:Location, amazing view the moment you step out of the house. Great relaxed atmosphere. Fantasting dining room. Good quality toilet facilities (even though we used the shared bathroom option). Olivier - the owner - should take better pictures of the place because it really is much better than it looks in the pics he's used in his offer.
Review 4:no reception and the owner is not available most of the time
Review 5:the excellent location and size of the rooms. it has a fully equipped common kitchen at the ground floor.
Review 6:If you are new to the area, it is best to arrive in the daylight as the road to Amden in very windy and the hostel is indeed, "tucked away" which is one of its best features!
Review 7:Located conveniently between Zurich and Churs, Amden and the lovely hostel owned and managed by a very friendly and caring family, makes you feel like you are "at home" tucked away in the peaceful Swiss countryside. A very happy experience.
Review 8:It was over priced for what it offered. Maybe this is normal in Switzerland. There was one electric socket in the wall, and one up on the lamp by the sink. I didn't even get my roll for breakfast my second day there because no staff was present then.
Review 9:Nice quiet location in the cow pastures.
Review 10:This a hostel not guest house. Young travellers in parties of 5 or more use the communal kitchen and dining area for entertainment. Great if you want to join in, not if you want a peaceful night.
Review 11:Great location for the area, beautiful views of the lake and mountains.
Review 12:To hot in the room because we can't keep open the window because of lot. Mosquitoes come in side .
Review 13:Location, view !
Review 14:Fantastic location and children friendly setup.
Review 15:Hand made facilities! Improvements are under way.
Review 16:there is no private bathroom, but it is ok! it was very clean
Review 17:the best view ever!!! nice rooms
Review 18:One of the best places I have ever lived. Everything is just too good. It was a memorable stay. The owner of the hotel is very kind.
Review 19:Problems with finding it. Just one shower for everyone.
Review 20:Beautiful views. Big dining area - place to sit with a bunch of people.
Review 21:Hard to find
Review 22:Location excellent, amazing views
Review 23:Incredible location! the view from the bedroom window was amazing. Very clean room and bathroom. (note: if you are a tall woman you may stIuggle to stand up in some of the rooms, including the shared bathroom. I dont know what the male rooms are like.)
Review 24:Only one shower for all guests (10 adults and 10 children staying while we were there, though we still didnt have to wait for a shower) and, as said by others, it was clogged-up and didnt drain well. The kitchen was a bit cluttered with some old junk and there was lots of rubbish, thouhg neatly in bags, that had not collectedapparently for a while. Also, other familes staying a longer time basically took over as though they owned to place and were not very clean - but the owners can't be blamed for that.
Review 25:Fantastic view. Well equipped with crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots, pans, lots of fridge space and oven andstive, also games and books, local maps and visitor information. Easy going and quiet. Great location, both for the view and access to hikes, the village with good well-priced restaurants. Room was clean, comfortable beds, great view. The price was unbeatable for Switzerland.
Review 26:Check in time was listed as 1500hrs-2300hrs. I arrived well before 11pmto check in, and the doors were locked, no one was in reception, andthere was no call button. We knocked for several minutes, and eventuallyhad to try to find another hotel last-minute late at night. Would notrecommend.
Review 27:The shower did not drain properly. The wifi never seemed to work at theactual location, but we were about to use the internet at the Schaeflihotel while we ate an amazing breakfast (12.50 euro/person).
Review 28:The view from this place is amazing. Also, just the drive up from thebase of the mountain was spectacular. The beds were comfortable andthere were plenty of common spaces.
Review 29:Low ceiling
Review 30:Beautiful nature, big dining room and kitchen, TV room, quiet
Review 31:Did not register on the gps so it took long to find.
Review 32:Quaint - just what we were looking for.
