Reviews for Whistler Peak Lodge
Review 1:I wasn't pleased with the surprise security deposit when we checked in... It was not in our budget to cough up another 250$ after already paying around 800$ for this hotel.... It was no where in the info when I had booked
Review 2:Loved my stay at this hotel! For my first time in whistler the location was amazing! And that jet tub? Loved that!!!
Review 3:Needs some updating, starting to look a bit tired. Had to go outside to access the front reception desk. No fitted sheets, and what they had were not large enough for the bed.
Review 4:Location
Review 5:Horrible room next to elevator and room had plumbing issues. Could hear all neighbors in ski boots early in mornings. The maid was extremely rude.
Review 6:Location is great.
Review 7:need hooks for hanging wet ski stuff on.
Review 8:Brilliant location. Our deluxe suite was just perfect. Enough kitchen equipment for eating in (which we needed as all restaurants full over new year week!), well equipped bathroom, comfy bed, fire, quiet room on top floor
Review 9:We stayed 5 nights over Christmas, but got cleaning service only on the day before departure, which was not really convenient. We had to take our own garbage out... Also, having to park in another building was a bit of a hassle. Our car has an overhead storage box (Thule type), so I asked in advance what was the clearance in garage. Minimum clearance for my car is 2m, as well as declared in garage however my box have touched an overhead pipeline twice by the time I made it to P4 (designated hotel parking). Suggest to opt for another property if your case is similar.
Review 10:Great location of this property -off the stroll, facing the Blackcomb thus very quiet at night; having a second murphy bed was a great space saving idea for a Junior suite. Staff was always polite, helpful and responsive.
Review 11:In addition to the horrendous price, Layout of office and rooms was confusing as was the parking arrangement with guest parking below public parking and not all elevators going up to guest rooms or down to parking. For example the Elevator in the office was not usable to get to guest rooms. Perhaps the parking business is the more lucrative of the two. Parking was an additional $15 on top of net $450/night rate.
Review 12:Close to lifts and stores
Review 13:Location is fantastic. In the middle of the village and a short walk to the lifts. Fireplace in the room is a nice touch! Price was great and the room met our needs with cooking facilities and a nice queen bed. Great fast wireless.
Review 14:Nothing. We were loud and received a noise complaint once but it was understood why, we quieted down some and it was all good!
Review 15:Super clean single queen bed with a kitchenette and mini fridge for all your weekend getaway needs, favourite part was location, parking was overall pretty cheap as well, heated underground for 15 a day, will be back again!
Review 16:Some of the lights didn't work, however this is a very minor thing.
Review 17:Great location, got upgraded to a larger room, hot tub, friendly staff, very nice and modern hotel!
Review 18:When fold down bed was used there was limited floor space in room to do things.
Review 19:Great location. Close to everything. "Tidy" amenities eg washing machine in kitchen cupboard.
Review 20:Loud people on my floor trying to break their door and vending machine....someone like a security guard would be nice to check the floors every hour
Review 21:The tub was a bit dirty and needed to be cleaned. I also thought that they should have had house keeping every other day rather than every 4 days.
Review 22:The beds were comfy and the fact that I had the option to cook my own meals if I wanted to. The view out my window was fabulous and enjoyed the fireplace I had in my room as well.
Review 23:We stayed in the west wing which is a bit of a distance to the spa area in the main building. This put us off going there. (Some people would call us lazy)
Review 24:Friendly staff made our stay convenient and pleasent. Flexibilty on checkout time was much appreciated!!! Very central location and easy access with vehicle.
Review 25:There were younger people making noise quite late at night, sometimes as late as 3 am. This was Friday & Saturday nights. Thursday and Sunday was nice.
Review 26:The staff were very helpful. Although they only provide clean towels for stays of more than 4 days. At check in, we were told if we needed clean towels or anything else, let them know. We were fine with making our own bed and hanging our towels up to dry.
Review 27:Access to the room was awkward. Had to go up one elevator outside the main lobby then go up to the floor above ours cross over to the other side of the building and go down another elevator to our floor. There was clothing left behind from previous guest in one of the drawers.
Review 28:The hotel was a in great location, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The room was nice, kitchen and two bedrooms very suitable to our needs.
Review 29:-no dishwasher -old carpet -cleaning ladys woke us up before 8am speaking loud in the corridor, and they kept talking for a long time and didnt care about anybody in the hotel rooms
Review 30:-location is perfect, in the middle of everything -hotel room has decent quality -front desk guy is nice and helpful
Review 31:I missed better shampoo & conditioner. I thought there would bould superior quality and quantity. It's the little things that can mean a lot to a traveller's comfort.
Review 32:I liked the location in the village
Review 33:Only real complaint I had was the water in the shower was not hot enough. The system may have been undergoing repairs?
Review 34:It was a great location in Whistler Village and represented good value compared with other properties.
Review 35:Didn't like the fact they said two rooms with queen beds and we got one room with a queen bed and another with bunk beds. We were two adult couples.
Review 36:Gym / fitness facilities are a joke. A few old cardio machines and a very small hot tub - all in a congested windowless room. Some of the sheets and covers of the bedding were very dirty with stains.
Review 37:Location is excellent in the center of Whistler Village. Good to have a bike room for storing bicycles
Review 38:Really, the only issue I had was with the strength of the WIFI connection in my room. And the hot tub facility is probably no on par with other similar hotels in Whistler.
Review 39:This property was a nice surprise. It was affordable in a very central location in the "Village". I stayed in Studio suite, which I thought was sufficiently equipped, clean and comfortable. The property has undergone an ownership change, from a Holiday Inn, and the new staff seem to be going out of their way to make a good impression.
Review 40:The staff at Whistler Peak Lodge were nothing but friendly and helpful. The location was great as it was right next to the village and it was super convenient. One of the staff even recommended a breakfast place (Ingrids) and it was AMAZING! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay there. We will definitely go back to the Whistler Peak Lodge the next time we visit Whistler! Thank you for the amazing hospitality!
Review 41:Very loud. Neighbours were loud at 2am after the bar and the street was loud as our room was facing the same side as the clubs. Had to turn on the air conditioner to tune out some of the noise. But overall was a good hotel and would stay there again. Would just request a room that doesn't face the busy area.
Review 42:Loved the location, price was great and place was clean.
Review 43:We found that rooms weren't nearly as clean as we would have expected (dust bunnies behind the doors, hair in the shower/tub, rooms weren't cleaned unless you were staying three nights or more without extra charge) and the furniture and beds were very worn.
Review 44:We love the location as it was very close to everything and made walking a breeze.
Review 45:- if you like harder beds and pillows, this hotel is definitely not for you - very late check in (4 pm) and very early check out (10 am)
Review 46:- location is great, just about 5 minutes from gondola - lots of restaurants nearby - staff is very polite and helpful - not lots of noises in the evening - has a nice hot tub
Review 47:The walls were so thin I could easily hear the guy next to me watching their TV, taking a shower. Had asked for a bigger bed if possible said they would accommodate and noted to me to get the lager room not the studio. Because it was me my wife and 1 yr old daughter. Great value but wouldn't come back will pay the extra for the privacy.
Review 48:Liked the location pretty much right in the middle of the village . Free WiFi can't say no to that.
Review 49:The gym is an absolute joke and after thought. No treadmill and no weights at all. It's very disappointing considering that we stayed for 3 nights and couldn't keep up our fitness routine.
Review 50:Location is great and overall it's great value for money.
Review 51:The clothes dryer did not work at all. Could not sleep with windows open, the walkway through the village was really noisy...especially when the bars closed.
Review 52:Great location, easy walk to mountain and all shops.
Review 53:It was so loud. Can't sleep well until 3am. Miserable to be in the middle of shouting drunks by the dozens, both in the hotel and below on the stroll
Review 54:Beds weren't bad but some room for improvement. Secondly no breakfast is not a drawback but not a plus.
Review 55:Staff were excellent, and more than willing to help with any enquires I had, even helped me plan the rest of my time in Canada!
Review 56:Gym facilities old...not that it was too bad as nature is at our door step to workout outside!
Review 57:Location was perfect! Nice lodge, very friendly staff, room was better than expected.
Review 58:Only downside: loud ventilation from downstairs restaurant. If you need to sleep with the windows open, bear this in mind when booking.
Review 59:Exceeded our expectations
Review 60:The bed was a slab of rock, the pillows were so small and thin it might as well not offer pillows at all, staff was rude, the bag storage room has no security control, no tags, you place your bags yourself and pick up yourself. They only clean your room and change the sheets/towels if you stay over 5 nights... 5 nights!!! if it's less than that, good luck getting a new box of tissues, never mind clean towels or floors. The hot tube was extremely dirty.
Review 61:Great location!
Review 62:Only one bathroom in studio rooms. Hard to share one bathroom between 6 guests. Needs more lighting in rooms.
Review 63:The location was perfect, elevators take you right to the village.
Review 64:Refrigerator was noisy, someone urinated inside the air conditioning unit so it smelled like urine when turned on (I blame the guest that did this rather than the hotel!) - at least there was a window that could be opened in the unit for some air flow.
Review 65:Studio was really cute with lots of room as far as hotels go. Kitchenette had laundry - nice, and though I didn't use it there was a fireplace in the unit. Clean, comfortable, great location.
Review 66:The way the hotel is built with differt entrences to different parts is a bit confusing.
Review 67:Perfect location in the middle of where you want to be, great value for money, great staff. Very spacious room with more facilities than a standard hotel room.
Review 68:Very happy with the service. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Suite was clean and kitchenette was a great bonus location was perfect.. great few days stay ..
Review 69:I didn't like that the tags for the bike storage was left in thanks storage room and the staff often left me alone in there. I had concerns that others would change that tags and claim ownership of my bikes. The box of tags we're left open right there in the room! Also other than my last day I always had to put my bike up on the wall and take it down. It's very awkward. I wanted the staff to do it.
Review 70:Location location location. I liked being in the village yet being close to blackcomb as well.
Review 71:Great location right in the middle of the village, great accommodation for the price, very nice and helpful staff, convenient parking. Will definitely stay here again!
Review 72:The room had a half used bottle of lotion and the mirrors were dirty. When we inquired about getting the room cleaned, we were informed they only clean rooms for guests staying more than 4 nights. If we wanted it cleaned, there was a charge. The staff member who checked us in was not friendly at all.. it was an all around bad experience. I've stayed at the same location under the Holiday Inn name, and had wonderful experiences with them. This company needs to rethink their policies and staff
Review 73:The location is still good, but everything else was so much better as The Holiday Inn
Review 74:Clean rooms, wifi, hot tub, location near slopes!
Review 75:There wasn't any where to dry damp snowboarding gear
Review 76:It was very close to the lifts and all of whistler village amenities.
Review 77:Nothing!!
Review 78:Brilliant for walking round whistler, good to have kitchen facilities in room
Review 79:Nothing
Review 80:All the staff are really helpful to us
Review 81:Odd that you cannot enter your room from the lobby.
Review 82:Great location, very nice place. Will definitely go back.
Review 83:our room, location
Review 84:The kitchen was a bit disgusting, since the cutleries and plates wasn't washed properly!!
Review 85:The gym does not have a treadmill.
Review 86:The room is quiet and clean.
Review 87:Great location, fire place is temperature controlled, which was pretty neat!
Review 88:Great location, friendly staff and comfortable rooms.
Review 89:Early season price a little expensive.
Review 90:We noticed a big improvement. When the hotel went from holiday Inn to Whistler peak lodge.
Review 91:I had to check out too early, at 10am
Review 92:The location, specially if you didn`t bring a car

Review 102:Noise from town traveled up to my room- not very sound proof
Review 103:The cozy room and convenience
Review 104:Exceeded expectations.

Review 110:Location and staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 112:After we have complained we have received a nicer room.
Review 113:paper thin walls you could hear everything through.
Review 114:No laundry facility
Review 115:Great room, great location.
Review 116:No fresh linen every day. Very noisy neighbourhood. Weird elevator setup. Wouldn't start the fireplace.
Review 117:Underground parking and access to Building C was confusing. Walls are not soundproof at all.
Review 118:Location was excellent and staff was friendly
Review 119:not a great mattress, not very updated rooms, room didn't have very big window.
Review 120:hot tub
Review 121:the hot tub was broken
Review 122:location
Review 123:Close to all the village and restaurants
Review 124:The room was not clean at all. Dirty kitchen floors and counters. Bathroom had hair in the tub and on the floors.
