Reviews for LEGOLAND Feriendorf
Review 1:Too costly for its room space and amenities. They claimed free-wifi connection would be provided in the whole village area, to be honest, there was no wifi signal available. Even managed to be connected, but failed instantly due to its weak signal.
Review 2:An exotic experience in the Egyptian-themed room decorated with numerous Lego blocks. Breakfast was good and included in the room rates.
Review 3:No option to get an early breakfast, we needed to leave at 6:30, breakfast starts at 7:30, can not exclude breakfast from the price either
Review 4:The food was great, and our server was awesome.
Review 5:Simply put - the room lacks facilities and too small. - No place to unpack luggage (no cabinet or anything) - Lack of power outlets - Bad or no wifi reception - Shower is designed 'very cheaply'. Floor will always get wet.
Review 6:The room is decorated very nicely.
Review 7:the check out time is too early, it is not convenience for parents with small baby, because normally we will have a lot of belongings and need a place to let the baby have a sleep in day time.
Review 8:the rooms are a bit not safe for kids: Very slippery bath room / shower area. The bed edges are too sharp The room heaters are placed too low and kids are at risk for getting burned.
Review 9:We have enjoyed the themes and the layout of the rooms.
Review 10:Price is too high. It makes limitation to stay for more days. From our side it can be possible to stay 3-4 days and give to children more time to play.
Review 11:Location, house design and general view. Breakfast
Review 12:-Lack of sinalization in English
Review 13:-Staff is very customer driven -10 minutes walking to Legoland Park -Thematic rooms with a Lego box for the kids to play
Review 14:Just 2 restaurants available for reservations, otherwise you need to go for a buffet
Review 15:Fantastic decoration and leisure space for the children. Excellent playground
Review 16:No wifi in Legoland, poor wifi in territory - it's hard to post fotos in social networks to cause envy with friends :)
Review 17:Very good area and rooms. Playground everywhere - the same level as Legoland. Kids will be very glad to be there.
Review 18:The resort is more like a camping place but you pay the price of a 4 or 5 stars hotel.
Review 19:If you insist to visit lego land, the hotel is great - breakfast is good -
Review 20:The waiting time for breakfast There was no air conditioning in the rooms They could have put at least a ventilator
Review 21:The restaurant was very good, the ambiance very nice. The location to see the park was good, easy to reach, one can enter and park and go out and then re-enter again.
Review 22:It can be a bit expensive but if you are a fan of Lego or want to give your Kids the whole Lego experience is a must to stay here.
Review 23:Room decoration was fun, excellent breakfast, and the Restaurant in the Castle is also very good.
Review 24:Many attractions for the kids and adults in Lego Park. The idea of Express Pass is great although it is expensive. But nevertheless without these passes we would have not been able to do what we have planned during one day.
Review 25:Without location and breakfast was terrible. The Hotel staff are rude. Specially reception. The internet was not so bad because there is no internet connection. I can only connect wifi in reception. The bad is not comfortable. I can write many bad experience but the legoland is really funny.
Review 26:I only like location of the hotel and breakfast.
Review 27:The price of everything is a bit high.
Review 28:The kids were like in a storytale, they just loved everything there and have great memories. Staff was very friendly, breakfast very tasteful, very nice playgrounds. We also enjoyed the short walk from the hotel to the Legoland through the forest .
Review 29:We made this booking on Booking.com and were under the impression thatwe had booked a Sextuplet room in the air-conditioned hotel, when wearrived we were told we had booked the sextuplet room but not the castlesextuplet room and therefore had to stay in a non- air conditionedchalet. Extremely misleading booking by the booking.com website whichactually included a photo of the hotel in the booking!!!!
Review 30:285€ per night for a tiny cabin with 6 beds, a shower with cold water and old worn towels. We had to stand 30 min in queue for receiving a table for breakfast. The queue was outside in the rain.
Review 31:very little
Review 32:The breakfast queue was so long and the options were limited. There's no air conditioning in the room but there is insect screen, fortunately, so we could leave the window open. I didn't mind the lack of privacy for one night, but it would definitely bother me if I had to stay long.
Review 33:The location is great. Very convenient to access to the park. There are plenty of things to entertain kids in the hotel. The beds are quite comfortable. The dinner was tasty.
Review 34:I had been preparing my family that the Knights' Castle room for the six of us was going to be small and crowded. They were pleasantly surprised to find it was larger than they had been imagining. Two people could have slept in the large bed and four in the bunk beds. However, we chose to take an air mattress and make that available to two in our group instead of the bunk beds, and only "Grandma" used the regular, large bed. The included breakfast buffet was nicely presented and enough for everyone in our group to find something they liked. If breakfast is included with your booking, the reception desk gives you a voucher upon check-in to take to enter breakfast, and you choose if you want early or late breakfast. I would advise early, and get there when it starts, as it was not crowded then even in the peak tourist season and gets you in the park right at opening, when you should take advantage of short lines for the most popular rides. Staying here is obviously way more expensive than staying in nearby hotels, but for the full "Lego Experience" and convenience, this is what will make memories for the kids. For example, staying here enabled us to take advantage of the after hours activities at the resort, like the ropes course, which I am happy and a little proud that I completed both first levels and the first three zip lines, before leaving it for my teen son to finish. It is also great to be able to walk the path to the park entrance after breakfast, (comes into the Pharaoh park area), from the resort hotel instead of driving. We used both the buffet dinner restaurant and the dinner available in the Kings Castle (best to make a reservation that morning) and enjoyed both of them, especially the convenience of being able to walk to and from dinner, and no searching for a nearby restaurant. The Reception Desk being open 24 hours with friendly staff was very much appreciated.
Review 35:the hotel is not so close to the legopark - 10 min of walking the restaurants to few and nothing to at the evening breakfast can be better the price is higher than what you get it is different than the Disney parks
Review 36:the rooms are designed for the kids and make special adventure for them near the hotel there are the rope course that is great to try
Review 37:Nothing wrong with the place, everything "ticks the box". However, for the price it didn't overwhelm.
Review 38:The attractions/lodgings are probably good for below 10 years old - any older and it's too small/catering to younger children. Room/breakfast all up to standard but there's not enough *magic* to justify the price of staying on park grounds. We stayed 2 nights so maybe 1 would have been enough?
Review 39:The room is small in this price, no WiFi support in the room, the breakfast should wait for a bit while.
Review 40:Many equipment for the kids, a very interesting 'swimming pool'.
Review 41:We had a cabin which was nice but in the loft there was no window and no fans were provided for any type of air circulation.
Review 42:Fun theme in our cabin. Areas in close proximity to parks to play and a Short walk to theme park. Theme Park was excellent and breakfast was great!
Review 43:Booking through booking.com is not clear as I experienced a problem in the check-in, they provided me a different room than the one in pictures of booking.com which is the egyption theme while I booked a room in the castle then they changed for me with extra charge but provided me a free early check in because of what we faced. 10 minutes walk to the park.
Review 44:Breakfast, professional staff. Free early check in because of the issue we faced.
Review 45:1) All restaurants are closed during lunchtime and open at 17:00. So in case you are not at Legoland and want to spend the day at the village there is nothing to eat. 2) No wifi in rooms. Only public places. 3. Nothing for grown ups, only playgrounds for kids. 4) Expensive to stay but still you nee to pay extra for ropes course, mini golf and bowling if you want to play.
Review 46:Next to Legoland. Nothing more. Would not reccomend staying over than the no. of nights you need for Legoland Park.
Review 47:The restaurant opens too late, have to prepare yourself for a dinner at arrival.
Review 48:Room themes The room was very clean, the possibilities for dinner were great. Unforgottable experience! Should stay a night or two for everybody!
Review 49:Disproportionate price to the quality. Egiptian bungalow - very dark and dull. You can hear every word said by a neighbour. Not too clean bathroom - hair of previous tenants left under the shower. Additionally paid attractions eg. Minigolf.
Review 50:Very good, big breakfast. Close to lego park
Review 51:Expensive, you pay for the lego experience and you are far from Gunzburg so eating at Legoland Feriendorf is a must.
Review 52:Nice Lego decorations. Lego in the rented rooms made the children happy :)
Review 53:Value for money is worse ever. Staff is non existing or cold and mechanical. Whole compound serves only for Legoland visitors and it is oriented purely to squeeze out any money you might have.
Review 54:Concept
Review 55:Everything was absolutelly excellent! The staff was super nice andhelpful. The hotel was great and there wasn't absolutelly nothingwrong about that. Great time
Review 56:Bathroom. Showertub is too small, and cant keep water from spraying around (we had a competition who'd spill less water around). No hot water when the neighbour is showering. It was cold (for June) and no way to warm the place up - a small radiator is very weak - don't go there during the cold weather. More wardrobes would be a great help. Nowhere to dry wet clothes after rain and water Legoland games. If it was cheaper I wouldn't mind all this. Wifi wasn't available at the house. Only on public places (restaurant and reception)
Review 57:To my children - everything. Design of the houses, contents in Feriendorf (and in Legoland). Very clean and 6 bed house was cosy for my family of 5, and even six would fit just fine.
Review 58:Standard Quadruple Room is compact for 2 adults and 2 older kids (12 and 15) to share a small bathroom. we should have booked two rooms instead.
Review 59:Nice, clean & cozy themed room, super friendly staffs, big selection for buffet breakfast, easy parking, and bowling at night.
Review 60:the bad was awful, the linings where very old (yellow edges old) and doubtfully clean, toilet was just "meh" ...
Review 61:very close to the park, the walk through the woods was nice and lots of playgrounds for the kids
Review 62:The fact that there wasn't a phone in the room to contact staff or that we were not informed that a car is necessary because even for basics like milk and diapers we had to go to günzberg.
Review 63:Service was excellent n the staff wer extremely helpful and cheerful
Review 64:Wish we could park at the hotel early before check-in time and then leave our vehicle at the hotel after checkout to take advantage of the hotel entrance to the park on one night stay. Loved the heated floors in the bathroom but setting at 37 was a tad uncomfortable!! Had to turn it down over and over again.
Review 65:Loved the playgrounds and free trike track. Kids loved the Lego and club magazines on their beds! Breakfast was a terrific spread and kids didn't want to leave their coloring pages.
Review 66:Too little time at this resort. ..2 nights not enough...next time will be 4!
Review 67:Great hotel, great themes to the rooms, great play areas for children, buffet restaurant was very good quality; which took us by suprise. overall the place is top notch!
Review 68:the price of the main hotel is rather high
Review 69:idea of the hotel/rooms design, tea in the room. The hotel helps us to support the atmosphere of the birthday party.
Review 70:- If you plan to stay more than 1-2 days, there is not too much to do there - During the evening the entertainment for the kids is limited (only a playground and an adventure park), but there is nothing organized like small parties or shows
Review 71:- Nice place, good location, near the nature/forest
Review 72:1. We were given "Egyptian" themed bungalow - very dark, small and minimalistic. 2. Breakfast : was included in our rate but they forgot to give us 'a voucher' for it at the check in (!!!) (I do not know how one can forget that part). So, in the morning, after waiting in the line, we were refused access , even though we were in their list. The person did not speak but German so ... We had to go back and forth just to bring some piece of printed paper with word 'voucher' from the reception all of this with 2 children . - have they heard of customer service or a phone, may be ? 3. Tasteless breakfast with horrible coffee after all the pain.
Review 73:Ok, you can't beat the location, and that's it's possible to eat on site.
Review 74:Hotel was very expensive, on top of park costs.
Review 75:Quality of accommodation, food and entertainment were all very high. Loads to keep children entertained after the park closes and comfortable for parents too.
Review 76:Given the conditions at room in feriendorf, it is really expensive and absolutely not worth. The rooms are primitive by all means.
Review 77:Proximity to Legoland and hochseilbahn
Review 78:Shower is very simple with curtain, I'd prefer cabin. (Standard 4 bed challet). No heating in children room so need to keep their door open. Hi price!
Review 79:Fantastic rich breakfast. Nice Lego themes everywhere. Execellent location. Very nice Lego feeling in the whole area. Unforgetable for both kids and parents.
Review 80:The room is very small. We ordered a room for 6 (4 adults and 2 kids, 2 and 5-year-old) but it turned out to be that we need to book another room because we couldn't open our luggages at the same time in the room if we all stayed in the same room.
Review 81:We stayed here for 2 nights and we spent almost every second to explore the world of Legoland. Kids loved the resort so much that they didn't want to leave there. Great playgrounds everywhere in the resort and the staffs were very friendly.
Review 82:you need to pay extra for some attractions in the hotel facilities
Review 83:wonderful place near the forest and also nice rooms. good breakfast in the king's castle. kids enjoying riding the bikes and lots of playgrounds to play.
Review 84:I have visited many theme parks and stayed in theme park hotels. I can say this was the worst. Do not expect the same standards as it was UK Legoland Windsor. The rooms , hotel services were very poor and primitive. I would recommend to think twice before you plan any journey. The complex is called as holiday village but it was somehow a camp with many rules that you don't want experience while you are in holiday.
Review 85:Nothing at all
Review 86:Nothing
Review 87:The location next to Legoland was fantastic. We got there and were able to go and have a look around for a couple of hours. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable.
Review 88:To unimportant to even mention!
Review 89:Places for your kid to play almost everywhere. Nice weather even at the end of September. The houses in the village are quite comfortable The staff was very kind and willing to help. Food at breakfast was excellent. The people working there made a good effort to serve us the best way!
Review 90:-Wifi is very weak inside room -room decoration is too simple -Quite expensive
Review 91:-a 10 minutes walking distance to Legoland is very convenient -parking at the resort is free of charge -good breakfast with many choices
Review 92:On the second morning we had breakfast at the steak house and the staff was disorganized. This is the only thing that irritated me at my stay
Review 93:We stayed there for 2 nights and everything was perfect. The location was good, the room was clean, we were very satisfied
Review 94:Everything, the castle was amazing, the room size, the room decoration, the paly ground was extremely big and amazing, the kids didn't event want to go to Lego park, we had to drag them out from the playground, the bowling center, the restaurant at the castle was the best, its really worth the money, we are already planning to go back to Germany in March 2015 only to stay @ this place, kids and adults had a lot of fun and amazing time. really worth the money.
Review 95:There is no reception or even a phone line in the main hotel where we stay and the reception is a 10 mins walk from the hotel itself. There should be at least some desk at the main hotel for urgency or at least phone line in the rooms. There is no restaurant around the hotel or any shop and the hotel restaurant doesn't serve food during the day / lunch.
Review 96:The theme hotel was great and perfect for the kids. The quality of the hotel was undoubtedly amazing and the hotel is very new.
Review 97:The room was hot and very stuffy. A technician visited on very short notice, but told us the air conditioning was working normally. It was a very uncomfortable room for sleeping. It would probably be nice in cooler weather.
Review 98:Location Kids loved the castle theme
Review 99:The only thing I could possibly fault is the relatively hard beds inotherwise really nice rooms in the Knight's castle. Perhaps also thefact the bathroom shower design was not perfect, the water escapes underthe shower and it seems to drip cold water from the top showerhead whenyou are using the lower showerhead, but this is more nitpicking.
Review 100:For the first time in an amusement park the food was tasty and healthy, what a pleasant surprise (compared E.G. with Disneyland Paris). It wasalso very clean, from the pavements to every toilet we chanced to use inthe two days. We used the Express pass and this worked extremely welldespite the low cost (12 euros pp - this is the standard pass), this wasbased on a little device that allowed you to book rides remotely (asopposed to the card based system at Dysneyland). There were also lots ofactivities that allowed kids to move (playgrounds etc) and to think (theworkshops) in addition to the rides. Overall a great experience.
Review 101:Unfortunately in the shower stall was standing water on the floor. Because of the full booking the other room was not given.
Review 102:Good place closed to LEGOLEND
Review 103:We loved everything. The prices were a little expensive but we expected that as we live in Romania, a place where the currency has a 4-1 exchange rate.
Review 104:The food was amazing! The location was perfect for my family and my kids were so excited to stay in a castle. Did I mention the amazing food? It was really quite good. We even did bowling, it was so much fun.
Review 105:Not a lot. I think it is quite expensive for what it is but very relaxed
Review 106:Great location, and loved the mascots every morning at breakfast. Place was full of character and the children really enjoyed themsleve. Lots for them to do in the park as well as at the hotel, including play parks, bowling, rope parks
Review 107:We lived everything, but if I had one complaint to give, it would be the towels. They were small and paper thin...
Review 108:The grounds were great for our kids (1 and 6 years old). We had a playground right outside our room. Our son could play at the playground and we could sit on our porch and watch him. The themed rooms were adorable and our kids loved the decorations. The food was fantastic and had a little playroom inside and playground outside for when kids are "done" eating and the parents are not...
Review 109:No service at all. Required to despose plates and leftovers at breakfast. Also the breakfast bufa was not refilled so things were missing. no phone in the rooms so if you need something or have a question you have to go to the reception. The family rooms are tiny! The food in the resturant is bad.
Review 110:Children's facilities around the premasis are absolutely great. My kid enjoined the lego box that waited for him in the room.
Review 111:Everything was great, but it is a little expensive, although you are paying for the whole atmosphere and the experience of staying in a Lego Castle!
Review 112:We stayed in the Knights Castle and it was amazing!!! The kids loved the themed rooms and even us parents felt like royalty. With the various playgrounds around, the kids would have been happy playing there the whole day, but we had LEGOLAND to go to. The food was great too. We wish we could have stayed another night, but our travel plans didn't allow for it.
Review 113:Very high accommodation price .
Review 114:Castle rooms are amazing for the children , it worth to stay there even if is very expensive , only to see their happiness .
Review 115:The room was a bit on the tight side and it would have been nice if a kettle had been available in the rooms.
Review 116:We loved all the entertainment which was on hand and the general layout. The breakfast was also superb. Our family will always remember our visit to Legoland.
Review 117:It is very expensive and small house.
Review 118:Not well soundproofed accommodation but theming was fun
Review 119:There were no queues at the park as the weather was not kind .. No wait times
Review 120:Very dark rooms.
Review 121:Kids are happy to stay here. Goog restaurant in kings castle.
Review 122:Very convenient for going to Legoland, and excellent facilities for children. However, the price is too high
Review 123:nothing
Review 124:everything.Very nice hotel and staff,Exelent for family with young children
Review 125:the price of the hotel slightly high
Review 126:Hotel location and room decoration are very interesting.
Review 127:Small room at very high price. Towels are really bad.
Review 128:Perfect for being with children
Review 129:So close to the amusement park, good restaurants, fun playgrounds for children, great having Legos in the room so parents can sleep in :)
Review 130:Nothing if you have a car
Review 131:My children were very excited in this hotel and it is very close to Legoland. 30 minutes drive to Ulm and 1 hour to Munich
Review 132:facility
Review 133:the staff
Review 134:very small room with no place to move
Review 135:outdoor playground , lego play box and the bukle bed for the kids
Review 136:The best place to stay with you children!
Review 137:The floor of the room was dirty.
Review 138:Great place for kids. Walking distance to legoland park. Several playgrounds around the rooms. Good restaurant.
Review 139:No food at night
Review 140:Location
The Fine Print
