Review 3：The room we were assigned (in the top floor) was very warm at night. This was a bit surprising since the outside temperature was not especially warm. Perhaps some pipeline check is in order. (I must say that the Hotel is otherwise in an EXCELLENT mainteinance state).

Review 15：As a luxury hotel Waldhaus should work on their details to make it feel more worth the price. It's not that it lacks some things that international 5-star hotels have - that's not the point. It's the attention to detail and pleasant little surprises where the Waldhaus needs more work. The spa for example looks like a public swimming pool, not showing very good taste, and the espresso in the lounge is cold and machine-made. An example of better attention of detail and great taste in the same category is another historic Swiss hotel Bella Tola in St Luc, Valais, which I recommend rather than the Waldhaus. It's also better value and suited for young couples - the Waldhaus seemed to be most popular with silver haired folks. These are minor details but the minor details make a difference in this category. Paying this much in a fantastic historic location I would expect little pleasant surprises and great attention to smallest details. If these don't make a difference for you then you'll be perfectly happy paying for a room in the Waldhaus - but I would rather recommend other places.

Review 16：The Waldhaus is a historic luxury hotel. The historic side is perfect if you want to experience the world of grand hotels as it once was. We're fans of Swiss Historic Hotels and the Waldhaus delivers the goods - but not necessarily the sense of taste and details. The hotel is perfectly located, on a small hill over the village of Sils Maria. Pleasant hiking trails start from the hotel door. Even the basic room had a balcony with a stunning view, high over the lakes and other villages. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is one of the best I've experienced anywhere in the world. Even in a basic room there's a little entrance hall to the room which is separated from the bedroom with a door. There are fresh fruit bowls in every floor. The saunas are ok and even the gym is good for the purpose with some imagination. The hotel library and the lounge have a great ambiance and very comfortable to spend time in. Also there is program like concerts almost every night and also in the daytime. The service is great except for some inexperienced waiters at breakfast.
