Reviews for Schloss Wellness & Family
Review 1:Just like in the title. Very basic place. We drove 1500km to get there and next day decided to drive another 1500km to get away from there :)
Review 2:friendly receptionists
Review 3:Somewhat disorganized at check-in & in general at the front desk. No information given regarding things to see or do in the area. I had the strong impression that unless you were an experienced skier (which our family are not) or there to book a spa treatment (which we were not because our <18yr children could not access) you have to figure things out for yourself.
Review 4:Great breakfast and buffet. Restaurant & bar staff very friendly & helpful.
Review 5:Impossible to connect to Wi Fi as procedure was over complicated compared to what is normal. Problem with poor design of exit from Schloss car park -and high cost per night
Review 6:Convenient access to the flat where our relatives were staying -and to town No fuss when we asked to change to room with bath which was also bigger and better view
Review 7:Would have liked shuffle bus from the hotel to the ski-lifts. And to and from the airpoart.
Review 8:Nice breakfast. Nice staff. Liked the bathroom in the hotelroom. Very Nice location in Ponteresina.
Review 9:No stamps for my postcards. Pool staff allowing adult guests disrupting the swimmers. Allowing fondling/kissing in the pool. Ski & boot room is in the building across the road, better in the basement of the main castle.
Review 10:Italian solo singer was fantastic. Breakfast was excellent. No tea / coffee facilities in the suites. Clean towels daily.
Review 11:The view from the broad hotel room window was fantastic, the staff friendly and accommodating, the room quite comfortable (with adjustable radiator heating), and the bus convenient for skiing.
Review 12:Reception was not able to inform us about the ski possibilities. Some of them were not so willing.
Review 13:Position of hotel. Good breakfast. The chef of restaurant was very well manage it!
Review 14:The position is not the best if you are looking for skiing but you can use a comfortable public bus service. I could not use the car parking of the hotel even if I had asked for it but I found that there was no room for my car. Therefore I had to park in municipal car parking which is nearby at the price of 100 CHF for a week. The SPA is good even if I think the spaces could be better organized. The swimming pool is located in another area of the hotel and there is no Jacuzzi. There is no gym. Overall the judgement is anyway very positive.
Review 15:The hotel is the the wonderful Enagadin Environment. The staff is really nice and friendly and make everything possible to satisfy your desires. Food is really good. I recommend and half board option.
Review 16:Food was below average. - Year end dinner was not good. (meat was cold, Ravioli tasted bad, hard-bread as side to meat) - Breakfast offering was limited: Mostly white bread, no real choice of bread, hard bread, very little cheese, artificial fruit juices. Live-music (daily and for year end party) was not satisfactory
Review 17:- Ski service by Giovanni - Apéro for Year end dinner - Location of the hotel, view from the room (3-bed room on floor minus 1)
Review 18:Poor breakfast, wifi connection, uncomfortable pillows
Review 19:Position of hotel, welness
Review 20:organizatoin on baggage collection at check out
Review 21:food in restaurant long waiting at reception all the time
Review 22:good service in the bar
Review 23:Poor internet connection, disconnects often.
Review 24:Cousy atmosphere, helpfull staff, nice environment
Review 25:The staff nice, but not very professional. There was a strange smell in the room.
Review 26:Nice familial atmosphere, the Italian touch
Review 27:Only 90 minutes SPA Time
Review 28:I asked to change the invoice from person to company and it's still unsolved
Review 29:everything was good
Review 30:The WiFi did not work well at all.
Review 31:Very nice breakfast, cross-country trails right outside the hotel, great wellness center with saunas, pools, etc.
Review 32:Some staff po-faced and unfriendly. Buffet price exorbitant.
Review 33:Great spa.
Review 34:nothing
Review 35:Everything
Review 36:I should start learn Italian.
Review 37:Attitude and Excelent sport camp
Review 38:Wi-fi,staff,lack of information in reception,in spite of high price, you need to pay for additional pillows, towels for swimming pool.
Review 39:Breakfast
Review 40:our room was next to all the drain and water pipes with valves opening and closing all the time .it was also next to the store room which was disturbing
Review 41:Nothing really. Do not expect 5 stars luxury. Good value for money.
Review 42:Clean, good value for money, busstop to pistes opposite hotel, good parking facilities, nice spa
Review 43:The front desk staff were not very helpful. This hotel was really let down by it's food. The bread and croissants were sometimes a bit stale. The evening food was very expensive and not very well cooked. The buffett was particularly bad. You could get a better, cheaper meal in the bar of the 5 star hotel down the road. On the whole this could have been a really great stay if some more time was put into making the front desk staff friendly and improving the food.
Review 44:Nice big rooms, lovely views across the valley. The spa and wellness area is lovely. The massage and spa treatments were all very good. The staff in the restaurants were very good and attentive
Review 45:Parking was difficult and the Parking area were not free from snow and ice. Many guests just parked outside the front door. Expensive WiFi and just available for 3 our of 4 in a family room
Review 46:Breakfast buffet Friendly staff
Review 47:Ski Rental didn't have the right size of skis (but otherwise it would have been good). In-house à la carte restaurant a bit costly. Sauna doesn't allow teenagers of less than 18 years to enter => Wellness and Family doesn't really work together as a concept.. Only one elevator of five goes to the fifth floor where we were located, and when you ask for elevators any one of two will arrive, only one of which will actually take you to the fifth floor. A small but annoying detail..
Review 48:Very good access to cross-country slopes. Bus stops in all directions right in front of hotel, very good public transport. In-house skirental. Breakfast good. Room was clean, quiet, beds comfortable.
Review 49:If you don't have a rental car, its a bit of a pain. The buses come about every 20 minutes at the most frequent intervals, and it takes about 10 minutes to get to the first stop that has chairlift access to the Corviglia ski area. To get to central St Moritz, you need at least 25 min on that bus.
Review 50:The hotel is amazing value for money, the rooms are really big, the hotel is lovely, service is excellent, the spa is gorgeous, the convenience of having ski rental and lift pass purchase available on site is great, they have loads of free activities planned all day long (hikes, nordic walking, cross country ski) - they even have a theatre in the hotel where they do evening performances!
Review 51:The rooms were very old fashioned, maybe 15 years ago this hotel was afour star but not anymore its more like a three star. The restaurant wasvery expensive for what they offered, 50 euros each with a bottle ofwine we paid over 130.euros the first night as we arrived but never eatthere again. No wifi, we had to go to another hotel bar to get freewifi? If this hotel offered free wifi in the bar area we would havestayed in most nights rather than getting all getting dressed for thecold walk to another bar and spending our money there????? The town andst Moritz is so beautiful but we wont stay at this hotel agin....Sorry
Review 52:The location was good, the hotel looked amazing from outside, speciallythe back of the hotel from the river,On arrival we were greeted verynicely,We were taken to the parking area, but it was 19.00 cf per night. The bathrooms were modernized and very comfortable.
Review 53:I think the rooms are really basic for what the hotel sells for (or should be) and it wouldn't take a lot to up the standard; what is very annoying is that every single little thing costs extra (and not little); I have never heard that you have to pay extra for the towel at the pool and/or robe in the room (4*??) Even WiFi is extra and quite expensive. Anyhow, we had a BB deal and to stay for dinner in the hotel there are only 2 options and you'll inevitably spend at least 50 euros per person per day. Shampoo/shower gels were not replenished daily either. Also, all hotels in ST Moriz area had a ski pass daily offer nobody bothered to tell us about (although kids were in ski school); basically reception staff only tells you info if you ask a direct question (and you know what to ask for). Hence we found about it after 4 days we were there and wasted money in the meantime. Pity cause all the above makes you feel that the hotel just wants to squeeze as much money from its guests as possible. Really not appropriate for the level it should be.
Review 54:I think that all animators and Birba Club personnel and were by far the best thing the hotel invested in; kids (and us!) enjoyed daily shows enormously, Lella / Giusy / Mirko / Davide / Giulia and others are very engaging and it would be great that the rest of hotel personnel have the save spirit. The hotel has a great location and is an impressive site with nice facilities for a family
Review 55:We were very disappointed from our stay in the hotel having in mind it is suppose to be 4stars. To begin with, we had taken under consideration the rules for accomodation and we arived around 13h local time so we could be accomodated after 14h. However, it happend to be that it ac we acually happend after 16h. Moreover, we were suppose to leave the rooms before 10h. Overal that way we lost a whole one day from our stay. The next point I will discuss are the rooms with their scare interior which makes no difference from the mass hotels. The most worrying and disgusting fact was the rooms were not cleaned regulary and we were suppose to use plastic glasses which were changed once during the whole stay by our demand. The same I could say about the bathroom consumables, which were not changed even once. The restaurant - unpolite personal, not enought variety of warm food and absence of fresh fruits and vegetables. The most dissappointing was the New Year Eve for which we paid extra in the hotel. For the money we have paid we expected rich menu and great etmosphere. However, that was not it - the staff was unpolite and arogant, the light was dim and there was NO music. The other interesting this was that the beverages for four were the same as for two!!!!!The food was badly cooked and we decided to leave the restuarant before the New Year had come. After all the negative emotions we have decided not to stay for our alrady payed last night and we left the hotel in advance. The is a place we would never ver go back there!
Review 56:The snow
Review 57:You are charged for everything, pool caps & towels. Food service in restaurant was disorganized and buffet food was very overcooked - a shame because the food was good quality but very over done. Noise outside my room was problem - children did not have place to play so they gather in vacant areas near the elevators.
Review 58:beautiful scenery, nice decor.
Review 59:No much parking outside by the hotel. Ski lift is far from the Hotel, not a walking distance. Bus or car ? Poor rooms and without bath, only shower... 4 star ???
Review 60:Nice people working in the hotel. Good spa .
Review 61:room service at extra charge (no menu available in room) no info on hotel facilities/ location etc in rooms crowded average food no four star service at all (self-declared) not even tea/coffee cooker in room poorly informed employees
Review 62:new modern facilities
Review 63:Nothing . Only the Wifi schould be free of charge in 2014
Review 64:We had a great time verry helpfull and verry nice Staff. Special thanks to Giovanni from the ski shop he was especially nice and friendly The children learned a lot from the verry good and nice ski teacher Gregorio
Review 65:Lady in spa very rude and uninterested Charge for wi-fi (quitetemperamental)
Review 66:Great spa Good breakfast Nice sporty atmosphere Reception staff friendlyand efficient Great location for cross country trails Access to goodrestaurants on Via Maistra
Review 67:Most staff were Italian speaking and so understanding was ok but it did not alter the fact the hotel was
Review 68:Location in lovely Pontresina and access to ski areas of St Moritz and Engardine Valley. Nice Spa (adults only) and swimming for the children was good. Good heathly breakfasts in nice surroundings.
Review 69:The staff in the reception was not friendly at all. Also, they had noidea on simple questions about the area. This was surprising for a 4-star hotel. An annoying problem was to hear next room's baby cryingevery night at 4:30 A.M.... while this is not the Hotel fault's,perhaps the rooms could be better isolated, or families with babies putin more isolated areas so the others can sleep. We complained at thereception, but the problem kept on repeating.
Review 70:The Wellness area was great, though a bit crowded some times, but stillwas amazing: we enjoyed it every evening! Another plus was thebreakfast: lots of Italian products and generous buffet. The personnelfrom the restaurant was friendly.
Review 71:I missed the possibility to sit down on a comfortable chair and to writeand read on a table in my room
Review 72:I liked most the good location, the friendly staff and the super Spa.
Review 73:Small and busy swimming pool. Although very abundant, the dinner menus were not too sophisticated, and once happened that the soup was completely testless. I must admit that the staff tried all their best to compensate this setback. Breakfasts were in genearl OK (fantastic cappucino!), only dishes which supposed to be hot (scramble eggs, becon) were just warm, so not really testy.
Review 74:Excellent location, few meters from the the ski storage room and the bus stop - transport directly to many cable cars in the area of St. Moritz. Newly renowated rooms - very fresch and clean in rustical style. Very friendly staff (especially waiter Antonio) despite some languague limitations - the staff mainly Italian speaking with very poor German and English. Good SPA.
Review 75:The internet was not working. When we finally had the opportunity to pay for it on the 4th day of our stay, we coud connect only for one hour even though we've payed for 24h! The cleaning lady forgot to lock our room after cleaning and we couldn't open the safe and had to call for staff for some reason. Didn't get clean towels last day. Staff does not understand average english and does not know a lot of thing that's going on in the hotel. What ever we've asked, the'd say: 'I don't know.' They did not reccommend one single thing on what to do in the center. Totally spelled the entire receipt wrong, name, adress and nationality! Swimming pool is very poor.
Review 76:Ski bus in front of the hotel and close to st. Moritz. Theater every night in the hotel.
Review 77:Unfortunately our biggest disappointment was on arrival at the property when our expectations that were derived from the website received a smash in the face. We totally had much higher expectations. It seems to be a hotel catering to a budget Italian clientelle. There was no luggage service when leaving the hotel just on arrival and with a flight of stairs with our room and the elevator it was challenging. On one of the days the elevator from the first floor to the pool was faulty and for a couple of hours nobody could tell us that there was in fact a flight of stairs opposite the reception to the pool area. There was a general comprehension problem if you did not speak Italian. We were as I mentioned totally expecting a very different kind of hotel purely going by the information provided on the website!
Review 78:Location was the only good thing about this property which seems to have past it's prime! I would recomend a good renovation on the public areas. They should get a medal for advertising and their website. The attraction to the property was the website. Location was Excelent and if they could revamp their management system and a few touches to the common areas it potentially could be a great property.
Review 79:- all employees only speak italian - newly renovated rooms still smell - breakfast is very basic - parking garage is far too small for any car larger than an VW Golf
Review 80:- some employees make an effort
Review 81:Different section for prepaid breakfast and the parking problems. U need pot luck to get a park if u don't end up paying for it

Review 87:Only thing I didn't like was the selection of bread for breakfast. The bread supplied was dry, and only a few types to choose from.
Review 88:Rude staff
