Reviews for Legends
Review 1:For skiers the Creekside location is right at the loading point of the gondola. It is less busy than the village but just minutes away from Whistler village. There is plenty of underground parking and Creekside is very conveniently located with shopping, ski rentals etc within feet of Legends. Legends itself has been recently remodelled so the rooms are clean and modern in appearance.
Review 2:If you are looking for a quiet enjoyment of your holiday, or if you are noise-sensitive or light sleeper, you *must* definitely look elsewhere: very poor soundproofing of floors/walls (made of cardboard or something?!) led to terrible sleep quality and noisy evenings/mornings depending on how "lucky" you are with the sleep/wake hours of people around your unit. Housekeeping can/will be annoying: not consistent service throughout longer stay. And a uniquely annoying experience I did not have at tenths of other hotels worldwide: they constantly expected me to let the service my room (no DND sign posted) before 9.30-10.00am. Otherwise they slip a card beneath the door saying to call them if you want service. Seriously !??! It did happen to me at other hotels. But *after 12-1pm*, not in the morning.
Review 3:Fantastic location, next to Creekside gondola and critical services you might need. Nice overall atmosphere, spacious & well appointed suite. Guess in the summer the balcony must be some nice extra to enjoy. Staff helpful, but not fast enough in addressing issues you might have.
Review 4:Location was fantastic, within short walking distance of a gondola that can connect you to anyplace on either mountain. Dusty's is a great bar/grill and is an even shorterror walk from the property.
Review 5:The air conditioning cut out on some mornings as did the WIFI quite regularly. I also do not like having to pay for on site parking but then all or most hotels in Whistler do the same. It would be nice if we could connect our devices (iPhones, iPads or computers) to the TV so we could access sites such as Netflix or iTunes. Location is a bit far from all the main Whistler village action but I knew that when I booked. It would also be nice to have a hot breakfast option on site.
Review 6:My daughter and I spent 8 nights here as we did last year. Quietly located at the base of Creekside gondola, our 2 bedroom suite was spacious, clean and well equipped. Staff was very friendly. Nice having in suite laundry, air conditioning and even a garbage chute down the hall. My daughter loved the pool and on at least 4 mornings and during one night walk we saw bears wandering around the gondola base and throughout Creekside. Tim Hortons is now a short walk away and there is a grocery store nearby. Despite it being a bit of a drive from the main Whistler village and all that it offers, the amenities of Legends mean I will probably come back.
Review 7:The adult hot tub area could be more relaxing of it weren't next to the kids area. Knives in the suite kitchen were still. But overall still wonderful experience.
Review 8:Modern kitchen. Beautiful suite with fireplace, balcony overlooking the creek. Waking up to the sound of water flowing right outside our window. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Review 9:The rooms were so big and they all had a great view. Amenities and dining were all close by and the location is quieter than Whistler village which is only 5 mins away
Review 10:Tired hotel seemed run down in places and very expensive for what was on offer. It was also far from the centre which we hadn't realised.
Review 11:The self catering
Review 12:The bed was awful. It literally felt like a metal bar ran down the middle under a few inches of padding.
Review 13:The property was very well maintained. the pool area has a private area for adult only hot tub! the kitchen had adequate pots pans an utensils to create meals. At first I was taken aback at the distance to Whistler village as I thought the property was IN whistler village. It is a few miles away but actually it was nice to drive back from the hustle and bustle of the village to a quiet and secluded getaway. The river running behind the property added a lot of ambiance to the experience. There is no breakfast served but Tim Horton's is a 3 minute walk away.
Review 14:It was my first time in Creekside and even though it is very nice, it is a little far from the Whistler Village. If you have older kids to walk around by themselves, there is not much to do.
Review 15:We really like the apartment, very comfortable and spacious. Clean and new. It has a BBQ in the pool area that is very convenient. with plenty of tables and activities for the kids of all ages.
Review 16:Car park charges
Review 17:In quiet Creekside Really nice spacious suite Comfortable big bed Nice pool and large hot tub that gets evening sun Balcony Great kitchen in suite
Review 18:We knew we were on outside of the village but seemed to allure to the fact we were quite close. It's lovely and peaceful, but good to know how far you are. $15 can ride, 45 min brisk walk.
Review 19:Legends was a beautiful resort. It was nice and relaxing away from the hustle of the village but it's at least a 45 minute walk to the village when you go, so be prepared. It was very clean, the staff was all friendly and helpful. Great for kids or just an adult getaway.
Review 20:Nothing to report here - all for the positive
Review 21:Has to be the first hotel bed I can lay sideways across and it is still wider than I am tall (6'4)! Awesome spacious rooms with twin bathrooms and large kitchen. Most comfortable sofa bed I have ever slept on also. Hotel staff also ultra friendly and helpful. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in without a doubt. Cheers Legends!

Review 69:Fireplace switch didn't work
Review 70:Very accomodating at front desk The sound of the river from my unit Nice and quiet Nice gym and kids area Nicely equipped and comfortable
Review 71:Didn't like the confusion of getting to the 6th floor, not all stairways and elevators led there....or lobby...after a night of drinking, took us forever to find our suite! Also, or group had three vehicles, and we weren't allowed to know until 8pm that night if we could park there or if we would have to drive and park in whistler village....I was very upset...luckily we were able to park there. There should be more options for overnight parking for extra vehicles.
Review 72:Beautiful suite, lots of space and room to sleep plenty.
Review 73:that we had to leave!!!
Review 74:virtual ski in, ski out with the Creekside gondola only steps from the door. Great accomodations and very friendly and helpful staff at every turn, beginning with check-in!
Review 75:The bedding was pretty skimpy and my friend who slept on the pull out was very cold the first night until we got extra bedding, the bedding is very thin, not too cozy. The kitchen microwave hadn't been cleaned but everything else was great.
Review 76:everything but my comments in red
Review 77:Nothing to not like
Review 78:Great atmosphere, room had 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms washer& dryer, dishwasher could not ask for better and the price was exceptional.
Review 79:Loved the spaciousness of the rooms. Excellent kitchen facilities, very comfortable living space. Has everything you need. Very clean, and friendly welcoming staff.
Review 80:3 bedroom unit was very spacious and very well equiped. Close to all facilitys and not too far to drive into the village. Great holiday location summer or winter.
Review 81:Not quite as clean as i would have thought for the price. The bathroom had a moldie/mildew shower curtain
Review 82:We loved the location, still near amenities but incredible pool and views.
Review 83:1-Was pretty quite and respectful until some yahoo's went swimming way past the pool closure... 2-Our fireplace didn't work!
Review 84:The room set-up was great for two couples! With the kitchenette set up for cooking meals in, we saved a bundle!
Review 85:Last day had drainage issue in master shower. Didn't call any anyone as we were checking out that morning.
Review 86:The facilities are lovely. Everything is provided for you except food, drink and your own personal items (clothes, etc). Great heated pool open until 11 PM. 2 hot tubs one adult only. Underground parking facilities with elevators. Easy, short drive to Whistler. Very family friendly, we traveled with children 4 and 8, parents and us, grandparents. Two bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms, perfect. Full kitchen with plenty of everything you would need to prepare a large meal! Also very quite, didn't hear hallway noise or room above noise.
Review 87:-The front desk staff was very rude- there were no access for drinks or snacks in the hotel ie. a vending machine. - as I was reading through the black book of the guidelines and rules I noticed a quota " please put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and run it upon on your departure" I found that quota amazingly disturbing, as I paid for a supposedly 4 star hotel and i was trying to get away from my day to day duties. That made me have second thoughts of coming back when I can get other hotels for half a price and not get told to do any additional work. I am very disappointed.
Review 88:Our suite was very clean and roomy.
Review 89:Most summer time activities are at Whistler Village which is about 5 kmfrom the Legends. Also, as a condo, all fees non-cancellable, non-refundable 14 days prior to our actual stay. It would be easy to addnights, but no refund if you want to cut your stay short, so planwisely. I also think the staff should have had paper towels or napkinsstocked, we had to use wash clothes until we finally got napkins fromthe local Starbucks.
Review 90:Accommodations were very nice. Good furniture and a nice suppliedkitchen. It's at the base of Whistler mountain, so it would begreat in the winter time as you could ski to the lift right from yourroom almost.
Review 91:Elevators are a little slow. Would recommend stairs for those tocan climb!
Review 92:Absolutely beautiful property a few kms from the hustle bustle ofwhistler village. Rooms are very spacious. We had taken a one roomstudio which had a fully equipped kitchen, washer dryer, fireplace and abalcony. No dearth of space for our 1.5 yr old to run around!
Review 93:Paying for parking! Stayed in a 3 bed apartment and not a single parking space was included.
Review 94:Convenient location- the proximity to the ski lift, good apres bar and hot tub. The location is also a bit less hectic than staying in Whistler village.
Review 95:Inconvenient access to the lobby and ski lockers from the 6th floor. The elevators in the building are slow.
Review 96:Nice amenities, great location, friendly staff. Rooms were very nicely furnished, great ambiance. The Creekside gondola was only a few steps away.
Review 97:We faced the street & street lights meant it was never fully dark inour room, noise from cars. Parking cost a bit expensive but offset byday pass which offered free parking
Review 98:Spacious room, friendly staff, amenities (hot tub & pool inparticular), availability of day access after we checked out that wasfree of charge
