Reviews for Downtown Motel
Review 1:Very noisy from people in and around the motel. I didn't like that so much stuff was plugged into extension cords. Kind of a fire hazard. The wifi didn't work for us.
Review 2:It was clean and close to all emenities.
Review 3:Location was good and close to the train station. Also within walking distance of several nice restaurants.. The room came with a small fridge and microwave. Fresh brewed coffee was available at the office.
Review 4:Employees had no authority over the party goers, shrugged it off like nothing!! People drinking and talking loudly!!
Review 5:Only thing I liked is that it welcomed pets! But other than that I would not recommend this to anyone!!!
Review 6:Hot room, old furnishings, dreary location. Smelled stuffy.
Review 7:We stayed here on an overnight on the train to Prince Rupert. It's a close walk to the station, and relatively low cost, but there's little in the way of restaurants near by and very hot in summer. There is an air conditioner, but it was noisy and useless. For not much money more, you could probably get much better, but it was fine for one night.
Review 8:no bath tub some questionable looking guests milling around lots of street people walking by and yelling loud sirens in the mornings as fire dept is right beside motel no coffee provided in the room
Review 9:location was good ac worked very good beds were comfortable staff was friendly and informative decent room rates
Review 10:somewhat noisy, vehicle repairing in the lot. "is the hammering bothering you, we'll stop soon" from the front desk guy.
Review 11:walk to location from train
Review 12:Staff was friendly Location was within walking distance of where we had to go Price was cheap and within budget
Review 13:Shower head was at eye level for 5' 4" person. smelled in the bathroom Out of date decor Only 1 plug in available for blow dryer - no plug in in bathroom No bathtub just tiled (out of date) shower big enough for 1 No coffee pot or kettle in room
Review 14:1) only one electricity in the room. 2) the room has odour. 3) not clean. 4) no coffee maker, hair dryer, electrical kettle. 5) bathroom was terrible.
Review 15:nothing.
Review 16:I booked this at the last minute after my other arrangements fell through, and was very pleased with the accommodations and staff. Good downtown location, comfortable room, reasonable price. Not fancy, but I felt at home and liked it so much, I canceled my second week at another motel and stayed here instead.,
Review 17:Was old, tired, fridge was too cold and everything froze. They takepayment for your stay when you check in, not check out
Review 18:In a good part of town, easy walk to restaurants, bars, etc. Was in townfor Canada Games and location was perfect
Review 19:Outdated, rustic room and not appealing. Bed was very hard to sleep on. No hairdryer and no coffee maker in room. Laundry facility was poor. No laundry soap available and room looked more like a garage.
Review 20:Very clean. Staff very polite and accommodating.
Review 21:Bathroom needs some renovating, no possibility for making a hot beverage, no hairdryer, heating not adjustable (was a bit chilly)
Review 22:Staff friendly, tries to help (but not always somebody there)
Review 23:bathroom grouting could have been wirebrushed or something street people walking around, one fellow tried our car door and also someone knocked on our door at 6 am
Review 24:the love seat
Review 25:Curb appeal - it doesn't look amazing from the outside, but then, who cares? The shower head is low, but then, I'm tall and this is no unique issue.
Review 26:Wow! The inside of the room is great! Clean carpet, nicely sized tv, great internet, comfortable bed and they didn't skimp on the linens or pillows, either! Best sleep I've had in a while. Sure, the bathroom is nothing to brag about, but nothing off-putting either. An experience that was far better than expected! The staff are pretty awesome too!
Review 27:it was to close to fire station an ploice station with seirn going off about ever half hour . lot of homeless a round .

Review 31:Parking was an issue. Bad part of town. Clientele of this establishment were sketchy. The fact that the homeless shelter was next door.
Review 32:I liked the fact that the shower door didn't close, and the shower head that was at chest height. I really liked the pool that had been filled in with concrete.
Review 33:Would have appreciated a coffee machine.
Review 34:A short walk from the train station and very helpful staff. Clean room with a comfortable bed and a quiet location. Almost right behind the Ramada at a third of the cost.
Review 35:The bathroom definitely needs an update, the shower head was set up for someone about 3 feet tall.
Review 36:The staff was very friendly and helpful and even though there was a YMCA and a fire department next door it was very quiet and we felt safe.
Review 37:Teenager in next room had a fit, adults tried to keep noise down but that's a chance you take.
Review 38:Walking distance to train station. Room was adequate for a quick stay
Review 39:Drifters out on the streets. It's right next to a 'poverty rental' building. 4 police cars had cornered a suspect on the street outside when I left the motel around 9 a.m. on July 1st.
Review 40:Safe and secure.
Review 41:Only thing missing is a coffee pot in the room.
Review 42:Best price in town. Close to everything. Feel safe because the fire department is just across the road.
Review 43:noise from adjacent apartments
Review 44:ideal for one night
Review 45:A well-located average hotel at a reasonable price.
