Opened in January 2013, Hôtel aux Remparts is located next to the ancient city wall of Fribourg, a 10-minute walk from the historic centre of Fribourg and the Cathedral. It offers stylish rooms with Art-Deco furniture, free WiFi and free private parking.
Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities and a refrigerator.

Review 1：It is a well located hotel (next to an S-bahn stop) and was quite suited to our plans- the canoeing tour of the schifenensee lake start right next to this place. The old city is just 10 mins on foot from here.

Review 2：The room was long and narrow and a bit stuffy. There was, however, a very efficient fan although no air conditioning. We paid 190 fr. per night but breakfast was not included and would have been a separate charge of 18 fr. per person which we declined to pay. If breakfast had been included we would think it was reasonable value for money.

Review 3：We were upgraded to a junior suite which was very spacious and quiet. Situated just outside the old city gate - walkable distance to the centre of town. Efficient wifi. Very comfortable beds. Minibar. Free on site parking, pleasant staff. Quite a good quality, modern hotel.

Review 4：We especially appreciated the warm welcome and the friendliness of the staff. They actively offered help in finding our way around town and reserved a table at the restaurant we wanted to go to.

Review 5：There was a list of around 100 TV stations but in fact there were only the local statons available, and the signal seemed weak as the picture disappeared every now and then. I went down for breakfast fairly late at around 8:45, the breakfast room was empty but the vacated tables had not been cleared away what a shame, that really let the hotel down. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

Review 6：I booked this hotel online and chose it due to its favourable price and close proximity to the city. It is beautifully situated by the old town walls, the view from my room was a total surprise! The room was beautiful, fab new bathroom. Very comfortable indeed.

Review 51：We have been assigned a suite in which there were four huge windows but just two curtains at big distance from them: no protection against light in the morning, wake up at 6 o'clock! The room was an authentic sauna because it absorbed heat from the sun for the entire day and wasn't provided with aid conditioned. We had to sleep with an open window!!! Absurd!!! The bed was done with duvets, that are normally used in the winter, not in the summer (never heard talking about sheets?...). The stay during the night has been a real nightmare

And so was the double bed. If we hadbrought a little baby I believe we might not have enough space to sleep:neither the bed would allow three of us, nor the room can accomodate ababy crib (was it my personal feeling??).

Toiletries provided.Too pricey though (usual for Switzerland as I noticed). Free parking -quite a large lot in front of the hotel. Free wifi, good connection. Atea/coffee in the room.
