This mountain guest house is located in Cavaglia, the highest village in Poschiavo Valley. It offers spectacular views of the Palü Glacier, a restaurant, and free Wi-Fi.
In winter, Rifugio Cavaglia can only be reached with the Rhaetian Railway. The station is only 1,000 feet way. In summer, it is also accessible by car in a 30-minute drive from Poschiavo.
Rooms here are bright, with views of the Bernina Massif. They all have central heating. The flooring and ceilings are made of wood.
Local dishes are the speciality at Cavaglia Rifugio’s restaurant. The drinks menu includes wines from the Italian region of Valtellina. In summer, you can have your meals on the garden terrace, while taking a view of the wonderful landscape.

Review 1：The Rifugio hotel is a beautiful and warm place to come back after a day of hiking and exploring the surroundings. Laura ane her family are very friendly and welcoming. They make the best local dishes and serve a very tasty breakfast! They make you feel very welcome and their place is very cosy and spacious. The RhB station of Cavaglia is just a 3 min walk and connects to all the places in the area easily. Highly reccomended!
Review 2：Everything was perfect and couldn't have been any better Great and very friendly host, very good food, awesome and very peaceful location, fantastic hiking, breathtaking nature.
Review 3：The mattresses were quite soft, we'd suggest replacing them with a firmer double mattress to cover the whole double bed.
Review 4：We stayed for one night during our travel through the UNESCO hearitage rail. We chose this place because we wanted a quiet location close to the rail. There are also nice glacier caves in short walking distance. The room was traditionally furnished and clean. The shared bathroom was available at most times and clean. Wi-fi worked well. The highlight of our stay was delicious food and friendly owners who made us feel very welcome.

Review 8：Lovely! The position is amazing, the landscape wonderful! The valley isa small paradise, especially for children! The staff is extremely niceand welcoming and everything is so charming and clean... A littlejewel!!! We had different tipycal foods, everything was super good -Special mention goes to the meat! The best way to reach Rifugio Cavagliais by Bernina train, to enjoy the spectacular view of the surroundingmountains. Definitly recommended! We'll surely come back!
