Review 1：Pillows very uncomfortable Bathrooms a pigsty even though the staff constantly cleaned them. I wouldn't stay in a share bathroom room again. The styroform cups to make tea in seemed icky.

Review 2：The location is so central. We got cheap entry tickets to the aquarium and a free shuttle bus to and from St Kilda. The room was clean and pleasant.

Review 6：I usually stay in hotels but this time travelling alone I stayed at the Space hostel and this hostel is the best I've ever been, even better than some hotels. The bathrooms are individual and cleaned 5 times a day, so always super clean. Lockers are in the bedroom and can fit a suitcase in. Each bed has its individual reading light, 2 electricity plugs (for charging your phone next to you overnight) and kind of a small shelf next to each bed for putting some personal stuff. It is smartly and conveniently designed. Location is good, next to CBD, and few blocks walk to the bars and restaurant area. I would definitively stay here again

And I didn't notice that and went to the sky bus, then they told me the ticket is not for them. I have to buy another ticket to the airport. Which means I spend 36 dolors to get to the airport. Review 25：It definitely has more of a hostel vibe than hotel. The shared bathrooms were in dire need of more regular cleans. I tried three bathrooms in the morning and all were disgusting as they had remained uncleaned after the night time showers of my fellow guests. Make sure you take some thongs to shower in! The internet was $5 for 24 hours which is fine but only 600MB, that is seriously stingy. Long waits for the lifts.

Review 28：Location is great, very close to Federation Square, where you can find the most touristic places of Melbourne. The hostel is very big, clean and has a travel agency and a bar inside. You can also find an internet cafe with lots of available computers to use. The double room is big and bed is comfortable. Air con and heater inside also work fine. There are lots of individual bathrooms in each floor (most of them equiped with very good showers). Free wifi is good. They also book shuttle to the airport.

Review 53：I booked the double room for $170, the entire time being in that room in had the air con/ heater function which had no option to turn off. Went to reception to ask how it could be turned off the Asian guy at reception who I spoke with didn't seem to care as I told him that my throat was constantly dry and felt like there was no air as I was trying to sleep and needed to drink water constantly through the night. Didn't have a second sleep. Not happy

Review 54：I thought we booked a hotel and were really disappointed to find out it was backpackers. The girl at reception was quite rude so that didn't make things better. Paid quite a lot for a double room and no internet was included. Also no hairdryer and didn't have hot water. Noisy. Could have stayed in centre of town in a 3 star hotel for less money.

Review 60：My friend and I were thrilled to discover that our room had been upgraded to a larger room with ensuite facilities though we had paid for a lower grading. The place was large but very easy to navigate. Everything worked well. Staff were prompt and pleasant in dealing with our minor difficulties. We did avoid the food bar until the very end and were annoyed with ourselves because it turned out to be as good if not better than the meals we ate outside.

Review 73：1) The shower rooms on different floors have different layouts. Shower rooms on higher floors (from 5th floor above) are better, they are partitioned so the floor is not that wet and looks cleaner. Some of the shower rooms are with toilet, which is more convenient, some are solely shower only.Some shower rooms don't have enough hook/ place to hang/ keep things at a dry place.There's a dispenser in the shower room, but no label at all, and there's actually some liquid inside, don't know what it is.2) If we stay on the upper bed, the power sockets are actually too high to be reached, and there's no shared power socket in the room, so every time I have to climb up and down when charging electronics.Same for the locker for upper bed, the hangers are actually too high that nobody can be able to hang their clothes up if they are standing on the floor. If I want to hang my clothes up, I have to put the cloth on my bed or in the locker first, climb to my bed, and try to slide those hangers close to me, so that I can hang the cloth, which is quite stupid. You should place a small ladder/ chair kinda thing in each room, so that can be used as an aid to reach the hangers without climbing on to bed.3) Sound proof wasn't good enough. My room was next to a bathroom, and every time the hand dryer's activated, it can be heard from my room.4) Most of the hostels I stayed, they all offer free wi-fi. Not sure if it's normal among hostels in Australia that guests need to pay for wifi. Although the paid wifi is not expensive, but the actual time that we'll be using wifi is very few, maybe just couple of house only in a day, coz most of time we are out of the hostel whole day.

Review 74：1) Staffs look tired and distance, but when talk to them, they are actually friendly. It's half business trip, and half leisure. We asked some information about public transportation to some places that we'd like to visit (not tourist spots, for our biz purpose), most of the time the staffs can still answer us which tram/ bus to take directly, which is very good. 2) Shower rooms are built individually, gives more privacy (not like the hostels in Europe have shower rooms lined-up together in the same area and some of them have no lock). 3) Every bunk bed's got their own power sockets, and a little bedside "table", which is quite handy. there're two power sockets for each bed so I had quite sufficient socket to charge my mobile and camera at the same time, no queue. Also a little space at bedside to place our own staff for an easy reach when we are on our bed. 4) smart-designed everyone has their power socket, linen, and spacial locker so we can still have our own space/ privacy although we are staying in a shared room. 5) spacial kitchen and food storage spaces! and I like everyone follows the system of food storage- labeled our own items. I left my food in the fridge for 4 nights, and nobody taken my food at all! 6) Nice view from rooftop, and there's a Jacuzzi. Should be a good place to chill out and rest at night if traveling with friends.

Review 75：Loud hallways. Noise from bar on Thursday night karaoke night was so loud it vibrated my bed. Front desk said the bar noise would end at 1am, but it kept me awake until 2am. Made it hard to get sleep prior to my 6am pickup for the airport.

Review 82：I feel Space Hotel should not use "hotel" in the name as it isfar from the comparison of a hotel! I was absolutely disgusted that Icould not even get a bottle of water from the automatic dispenser andwas advised to go to the "7/11" on the corner to buy one.By doing this is paid an extra $1.80 for the water and there was thesafety issue of sending patrons out at 2am! I felt that theaccommodation was at least $200 too ! I certainly will not recommendthis establishment or recommend it to anyone else!

Review 83：Even though the booking confirmation specifically stated that we were to pay on arrival, my credit card had already been charged when we got there. I wasn't impressed. Our 6 bed dorm was airless and stuffy.

The room is a bit messy, the door will locked automatically but it's really noisy and annoying, and you have to take the key card everywhere even to the toilet. Review 91：The "check-in" process is ridiculous - you have to complete a survey on an ipad that is not overly responsive before you can approach the counter. The questions asked all seemed to be information already provided as part of the booking process. A seemingly unnecessary, and frustrating, extra step. No free wifi which I had forgotten since I booked the room so it came as a surprise.

Review 92：We stayed in a private room with an ensuite and the bathroom was lovely and spacious.

Review 93：My room was on the seventh floor and got all the noise at night from the Russell and Victoria St intersection. Lots of motorbikes or bad cars, revving up. Some yelling on the street i think from the bar below. A notice said that the bathrooms were cleaned five times a day but judging by the big wad of black hair in the shower that was there for three days, i don't think that's the case.

Review 94：Great location, easy access to the trams, about a 20 min walk to the bus station. Good value for money. Was dubious about how quiet the halls would be but people weren't loud, a few talkers and doors opening and closing, people were respectful.

Review 116：The bus did not turn up for me to take me to the airport. One of the receptionist's told me not to worry as it was probably late. I was very concerned and spoke to another receptionist who immediately got onto the company and sorted out the problem for me.

Review 118：Staff are not the friendliest or most interested. They dont automatically change your sheets... Ever! Unless you ask (in dorm bunks) No free wifi anywhere! You pay for a week but even that has a 4gb limit so does not last the week! This is added expense for an already pricey place!

Also the staff weren't very helpful when I was trying to print out some tickets. I was clearly dtufgimg and wasting credit but they weren't very interested and seemed annoyed.

Review 142：So much space in our double room with TV and air conditioning,fresh towels and even little condiments for tea which is awesome for a backpackers as you don't get that anywhere else :) The kitchen was massive and had everything you'd need for a longer stay with lockers as well! The rooftop jacuzzi was awesome and staff were super friendly :)
