Reviews for Pinnacle Hotel Whistler

Review 1:Food menu was limited and expensive.

Review 2:The room included small details (such as towel folded by shower, house coats, dish detergent) that made for added comfort and convenience. The room was unique with a bathtub, balcony view, and fireplace.

Review 3:Old stuff in the room: kitchen cabinet drawer with lack of painting, pot lid broken, dishwasher with bad electrical contact. Light switch gave small electrical shock. Shower partially open so we feel cold while taking the shower. Beds were not well made. No one to help with the bags.

Review 4:The fireplace inside the room, with timer. The location of the hotel and the view. Comfortable beds and pillows.

Review 5:That we had to leave.

Review 6:Upgraded to a lovely self contained studio room with spa bath fireplace and beautiful view off the balcony.Centrlly located and friendly staff.

Review 7:We got a great deal at this hotel through booking.com. The hotel was in a great location at the start of the village, walking distance to everything including the gondolas, restaurants, bars and shops. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed with a fireplace and balcony. Loved it

Review 8:Hot tub was something we were definitely looking forward to but was broken down and there was no compensation for this. Parking very expensive @$20/night - this should be included in a fairly costly room/night fee. Staff were not the most friendly either.

Review 9:rooms are nice and spacious and love the kitchenette.

Review 10:The first room they gave us was under maintenance so we had to go to the front desk again and the next room that they gave us ofcourse wasnt the same as the picture on the web, smaller layout it seems.

Review 11:The location and the 2person spa bath in room. Also Quattro room service was delicious!

Review 12:I like sugar in my coffee and the hotel only provided 1 packet per cup. Even when you went to the lobby to get more they would only give 2 at a time. So if you like your coffee or tea sweet be prepared to walk to the lobby for more sugar. Other then that the stay was amazing.

Review 13:I loved how close it was to everything. There was no need to take the car anywhere.the kitchenette made it a lot easier on the wallet too.

Review 14:Great location, and very friendly staff. The room was well laid out and very clean. We stayed on the 4th floor (top floor) and the high vaulted ceilings were a nice surprise. The jacuzzi tub and kitchen make the room perfect for a ski trip.

Review 15:The underground parking was very tight spaces and took a long time trying to position into one with no luck .. Had to wait for a truck to leave so there would be enough room to pull in .

Review 16:Was upgraded for free and was pleasantly surprised to have a jacuzzi in the room as well as a balcony with views of mountains and convenient kitchenette and fireplace .Was close to everything in village and both me and my friend found the beds super comfortable.

Review 17:The room was nothing what it looked like on the website. Very noisy the second night of our stay. Lots of rowdy drunk people in the hall throughout the night. The pillows were not the most comfortable. Some of the towels had holes in them and had frayed edges. Stayed at the Whistler Inn and Suites a few weeks earlier and had a larger room with a loft for a much better rate.

Review 18:It was not too far from Whistler Village.

Review 19:Jacuzzi tub next door was a little loud, it was not on for long. Pool was not open.

Review 20:Room was very well equipt with a nice fully functional kitchen plus extra appliances which I appreciated. I liked the proximity to useful stores such as the IGA. All the staff were very friendly.

Review 21:I didn't like that we were charged $20.00 a night for parking and we had to park the car ourselves.

Review 22:I like the large jacuzzi tub but I didn't like how it was so close to the bed. I liked the bathroom decor. The staff was very friendly.

Review 23:I didn't like having to pay an extra $20 to park my car - I think that should be included in the cost.

Review 24:Getting upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi tub!

Review 25:The mattress wasn't very comfortable. It has been very well used and needs to be replaced. My boyfriend and I sunk into one another. Other than that everything was wonderful. Thank you.

Review 26:The hotel was great and clean. Our room was lovely, very spacious and clean.

Review 27:Just couldn't find the cutlery. It was hidden in a drawer of the kitchen table. You should leave a little note with the rest of the dishes on where to fiind them :)

Review 28:Nice cozy room with the fireplace at the end of the bed. Jetted tub was a welcome site!

Review 29:The only bath tub was a spa bath in the bedroom (there was a separate shower room). Good for couples perhaps but not so practical for friends and families.

Review 30:Good location in Whistler village. Great food at the restaurant. Helpful, friendly staff.

Review 31:Great place, we got upgraded from basic to luxury suite w an in suite hottub for the two of us. not a 5 star location BUT for the price, this was an amazing place, def will go back!! And staff were SUPER FRIENDLY!

Review 32:Not really a negative (more of a caution): if you aren't comfortable parking in tight spots or have a bigger vehicle the underground parking may not be for you.

Review 33:A short walk to the village...close enough that you feel part of the village but enough distance that it is really quiet. The suite was great and convenient.

Review 34:Got a room right beside the elevator so lots of noise. Air conditioner was located right at our heads on the wall. If you wanted to turn the air conditioner on it had to blow right in your eyes. Patio did not have a screen door, so we could not leave the door open at night. Blowdryer overheated. Expensive for what you got, even with the Booking.com discount.

Review 35:Walking distance to Whistler Village. Built in kitchen. Nice bathtub for soaking.

Review 36:Disappointed to not be able to access ilalian restaurant next door...closed for evening, as were other early shop closings due to staff shortages. Shifts the vibe and experience for sure.

Review 37:Price and value...quietness and convenience.

Review 38:Ideal location so close to Whistler village, excellent value for money, very clean and comfortable, fantastic service, great facilities.. Highly recommend.

Review 39:In the middle of the night the ceiling fan in the bathroom started to make loud noise and we weren't able to sleep. The night guy at the front desk was helpless, and at first said he has no other room. Then out of the blue one room was available, only the keys to the door won't open the room... In the morning the management chose to ignore the whole event I steel believe we should have been compensated. .

Review 40:It is a good location with parking

Review 41:We experienced delayed response in room service when the Keurig was not working properly. We waited long before we had our breakffast with our coffee.

Review 42:We are welcomed with all their smiles at the reception area. We were able to check-in right away. Clean room with kitchenette and peaceful place. Location is excellent.

Review 43:Location, everything we wanted was in easy walking distance, our room was clean, spacious and very nice! Staff were helpful, friendly and underground gated parking awesome.

Review 44:This accommodation was the best of our trip to Canada, the spa in our room was great, the beds were comfortable, the facilities excellent, and we loved the fire!

Review 45:We had a long day of travel the day after our stay so it suited us to be close to the highway. We requested a quiet room and the assistant manager, Peter, ensured that was arranged. Thankyou

Review 46:The location is great, so close to everything in the Village but a bit removed so not noisy or crowded. We had a lovely view of the mountain and the fall colors were fantastic.

Review 47:TV did not work and could not be fixed during our stay. On our late evening arrival, front desk clerk gave no directions and there was no book in our room to explain location of amenities or wifi codes. The bathrrom vanity is too tall and the tile floor in the bathroom is very dangerous when wet. The carpet was worn and not tacked into the floorboards at the walls. The lampshades are ancient as are the balcony doors.

Review 48:The beds, the location and the wonderful staff in the beautiful restaurant at the hotel.

Review 49:While clearly stated on the reservation, I found the $19 parking charge to be highway robbery, especially in the off season. The front desk worker seemed very much unaware of the hotel (perhaps he was new?) but the managers were quick to resolve problems.

Review 50:No concerns at all with the room or the beds; the room was spacious (was upgraded to a deluxe room as my reservation "hadn't been entered in their system) and the beds were comfortable. They did their utmost to resolve the reservation issue and the ensuing debacle in putting me in another available room.

Review 51:Paid a lot of money and one of the beds was a sofa bed that we had to set up ourselves and not the comfiest of mattresses, expected 2 actual beds for the money we paid.

Review 52:Great location, friendly staff.

Review 53:Paying for parking (but I think that is typical of most hotels in Whistler)

Review 54:Great location Great room Loved the ammenities The fine dining restaurant was delicious LOVED having a Jacuzzi tub in our room

Review 55:We had some disappointment with the outdoor amenities (pool, hot tub). Neither were all that warm or usable!

Review 56:My interactions with the staff (particularly cleaning staff) were very friendly and welcoming. Although wear and tear is starting to show, our stay at the Pinnacle still feels like a (favourite) old sweater. We were comfortable, and we enjoyed our brief stay.

Review 57:Pool opened late in the morning, at 10am. Too late when traveling with children. No breakfast offered and there were no chairs on the balconies. Why have a balcony with no chairs?

Review 58:Location was good.

Review 59:Was not offered any info about breakfast. Since it was included with my room I just expected( in hindsight)that they would have told me about it when I checked in. I left without having any

Review 60:Room was very nice

Review 61:Fridge was loud in our room so disturbed our sleep

Review 62:Luxury room, fabulous view, very comfortable bed, spotless and facilities were perfect. Good value for money and everything is within walking distance. Plus bonus free hotel bikes you can borrow

Review 63:The rooms are dated (except bathrooms) and the parking is pretty steep

Review 64:Excellent location, quiet but right next to the village. Renovated bathrooms in our suite. We got a free upgrade, which was very nice.

Review 65:The hotel is really good value for money in Whistler. You have option of cooking facilities and the room is large with a balcony. Comfortable and clean and good staff. Lower Whistler village is only a short walk away. Very nice place to stay in Whistler and very cost effective alternative.

Review 66:We were given a complimentary upgrade from a standard to a deluxe studio, which gave us a balcony, where we enjoyed drinks. Location was excellent and the hotel and area around the hotel was very quiet. Self-contained kitchenette was spotless, as were the bathroom and living area. There was a bleach stain on the living room area carpet, but this was no big deal. Parking in the basement cost $19.00. As I said, the Deluxe studio was very nice, small but very nice. Don't think I would have enjoyed the standard studio.

Review 67:being charged $18 a night for parking

Review 68:The location, facilities of the room (especially the whirl pool bath next to the bed, which is a nice touch:) clean and comfortable. The warm welcome from the helpful staff. Quiet location away from the main street of the village. Excellent hotel in an awesome location. Just wished we had been able to have stayed longer!

Review 69:Friendly staff, excellent location, the room was simply a treat, jacuzzi bath right beside bed, balcony with view onto mountain,i cannot wait to return sometime

Review 70:Staff was unbelievably nice and the hotel has mtn. bikes to borrow so we didn't have to rent them. They are just for riding around town but that is what we wanted to do.

Review 71:We just love it and keep coming back. The kitchenette is a great thing to have. Love that you have balconies and that you allow dogs. Central location. Jetted tub for winter and balconies for summer.

Review 72:Not the most we've paid for parking but never a great experience when you have to pay extra to park.

Review 73:The in room jacuzzi, the location, the lovely Irish lady on reception.

Review 74:Minimum channels on t.v. And a bit noisey with trucks and ground maintenance during the day. Desk help could be more informative when checking -in such as asking if there is anything we need or telling us where the grocery store and recommended restuarants. We had to ask for a map and how to get wifi to work. Nothing was offered up front. Just seems like they were stressed and just doing their 9-5 job. Not a complaint about the staff just advice.

Review 75:Close to stores and activities. Has 4 loaner bikes to use for up to 4 hours for free. Kitchen comes with utensils, large refrigerator and microwave.

Review 76:$19 a night parking is a nasty surprise when you check in. Air con noisy and too close to bed. Jacuzzi way too noisy! Would have been heard a few doors away.

Review 77:Great location, excellent room with very comfortable bed and well fitted kitchen. Room nice and light with windows 2 sides ( but blinds for sleeping) and the balcony was a nice addition.

Review 78:How crammed the underground parking can be. There was a confusion when we arrived to our rooms

Review 79:When there was a mistake in our booking, they corrected it for us as soon as they could as well and granted us discount in pricing and waived our over night parking fee

Review 80:Bath/Jacuzzi was very noisy and was too close to the bed.

Review 81:Large rooms with full self catering facilities. Large bathtub/Jacuzzi. Within easy walking distance of all the activities.

Review 82:We enjoyed our spacious room with its mountain view. The centre of Whistler was very near so we could walk easily into town and to the chairlift/gondola.

Review 83:The balcony for our room was stones and a concrete pad there so no furniture to sit on outside!! The air conditioning unit was right beside bed and very noisy couldn't sleep at night

Review 84:Kitchen space small and kitchen cupboards drawers need updating or mending. Not much storage space in the rooms.

Review 85:Lovely hotel, clean, bright, great pool and lovely views.

Review 86:Although the main window had good curtains there was a full width window above that which had no curtain. As a result the room was overly light for much of the night. The air conditioning unit was noisy.

Review 87:Location

Review 88:I think the room required some maintenance. The balcony floor in desperate need of paint and the carpet had obvious damage that should be replaced.

Review 89:I forget her name, but the lady that welcomed us was absolutely amazing. She was very friendly and welcoming and eager to help us in any way possible.

Review 90:When i booked room it was for 2 gueen beds .i called in advance to make sure.told yes got there was informed i had no choice but i got 1 ved and a sofa bed not happy my reservation stated 2 queen beds we where four adults not kids was uncomfortable trying to make this work. If known i would have eeselecfed not impresed with front clerk twlling me i can't choose thats why i booked 2 beds not sofas also had to ask for towels both days when i book 4 oeople i would assume room would be set up for 4 had no coffee or sugar needed to get both from front desk

Review 91:Quatero test e cellent close to village staff friendly

Review 92:No bad experience

Review 93:Spacious room, tastefully decorated, nice view of fir trees made it private, well appointed kitchen. Located close to centre. Staff at reception friendly and helpful

Review 94:The extra charge for parking.

Review 95:Excellent location only a block away from the pedestrian areas but quiet and with big , well equipped rooms and hot tub. Great bathroom with walk-in shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal place to stay in Whistler.

Review 96:We booked a room with 2 double beds. Instead of this we got a room with one bed and a sofabed (which is never comfortable).

Review 97:The balcony with a nice view on the mountains.

Review 98:Nothing comes toind

Review 99:The Staff were well informed and pleasant. Super spa bath in the room and a free upgrade as well as the view of Whistler mountains

Review 100:Air conditioner was very loud. To over come this we turned it off and left the balcony door open only to be subjected to the musings of the drunks and dopers walking home from the bars until after 3 a.m. Not the hotels fault but annoying.

Review 101:Front desk staff were outstanding. Easy walking distance to entire village.

Review 102:I loved the in-room hot tub after doing Tough Mudder in the rain. Having a full kitchenette simplified a lot of stuff too. The location was great! Pretty well everywhere we needed to go was within a 10 minute walk.

Review 103:We love a balcony this is why we booked , our confirmation from booking.com said balcony. We arrive no balcony! Had to move on next day shame as had fantastic view , staff moved our things though.

Review 104:Location perfect could walk to everywhere, staff so helpful and the room was large and well equipped loved the spa bath.

Review 105:Floor in the room was lumpy, literally like to wells had been placed underneath the carpet. And the jacuzzi tub was not in the room by the bed as shown in the websites pictures, and the jacuzzi that was in the bathroom was actually broken. But I did get a discount from staff who again were awesome

Review 106:The staff went out of their way to helpful and make the stay memorable. The location was just down from the whistler village walk and just up from mainstream and the marketplace.

Review 107:The underground parking costs $20 a night. Otherwise you have to park in a lot that is a few blocks away and can be full. We were lucky on a Sunday night.

Review 108:We enjoyed the Pinnacle Hotel in Whistler quite a bit. It is well located and the rooms are very nice. I think we got a very good deal because it was a quiet Monday evening after a holiday weekend. I would stay there again.

Review 109:It's perfectly located in Whistler village with good walking distance to highly recommended restaurants, supermarket and shops. It's also enough out of the way to avoid the late-night partying noise when you need your sleep. Staff are friendly, happy to help and informed about the local area with good recommendations.

Review 110:didn't seem that busy or full but still didn't allow for early check-in or late check-out. stayed two nights and housekeeping slow to attend to the room. dead bolt on door didn't work. finishing details not there- chip on countertop, inferior painting workmanship, lobby wall wood needs re-finishing. charged for parking.

Review 111:Full kitchen facilities large soaker tub for two and large shower modern bathroom cleanliness Air conditioning

Review 112:All the partying at the hotel as well as in the Village that weekend!

Review 113:The night manager was terrific. She had to move us a few times due to young people partying in the hotel. As well, one of the rooms had been flooded previously by an overflowing Jacuzzi tub so the room smelled terribly and the carpet was soaking wet.

Review 114:Everything else! Check in 4 pm, they give you the room when the floor is still very dirty, I feel this property really has issues with cleaning

Review 115:On arrival after a long drive ,we were warmly welcomed and were pleasantly surprised to be given a free upgrade. It turned out to be the best room of all the 9 we stayed in while touring Canada. The double spa bath with views out to the mountain was brilliant.

Review 116:We checked in at about 4PM, the room was still being cleaned.

Review 117:Loved the upgrade, the Australian receptionist was fantastic and friendly, place in the village was perfect because not too busy but within minutes to the village. Loved the soap, loved the relaxing ambience, basically loved everything about it and didn't want to leave. And catch the Epic rides bus from Vancouver, absolute bargain at CAD $35 return trip from Vancouver.

Review 118:some kitchen appliances doesn't work properly, bath room shower glass door not sliding well and the pool size are too small. The fireplace continuing have heat coming out even wasn't turn on.

Review 119:like the two person jacuzzi inside the room

Review 120:Parking is a bit pricey at $19 a day. The hot tub in the room was a bit strange.

Review 121:Almost everything about this was wonderful - great location, comfortable, clean rooms, welcoming staff. Would have loved it more if we could check in earlier (it was at 4pm) but other than that was great.

Review 122:We loved our room at the Pinnacle Hotel. It was on level 3 and on the corner, so had a number of small balconies overlooking the street. The spa beside the bed was a real treat and proved very relaxing. The room was spacious with areas for lounge/TV, small kitchenette with hot plates and plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking pots. The bed was also comfortable. It is well positioned in the Village within walking distance to almost everything.

Review 123:I have pay more for 2 queen bed but when I get in to my room. I have one queen bed and one sofa bed. They said same price. Why I have to paid more. So sad !

Review 124:They had no breakfast. Would of been nice to have breakfast in bed :)

Review 125:We stayed right next to the elevator and was not sure about how the noise would be but ended up being a very quite room. Staff was excellent to deal with and very friendly. We enjoyed our night stay and will definitely stay again.

Review 126:The toilet was a little dirty as was the shower.

Review 127:Great location the ladies at the front desk were very nice. We had a great night and woukd come back again.

Review 128:We had booked for a 4pm check in. Having arrived early we asked about an early check in at 1 PM. We were told this was not possible and to come back at 4. We came back at 4.30, exhausted from travelling and had to wait in the lobby a further 45 minutes before our room was ready. We had booked for a deluxe studio and were given a standard room. We were offered an upgrade after we has settled in but were too tired to move. Free parking was provided as compensation.

Review 129:Polite staff and OK location.
