Reviews for Hotel Station
Review 1:Walls thin, noise travels. Not uncommon in Europe. Pillows really need replacing! Location ok, being right next to the train station, but not in the middle of Pontresina shops, etc (however it's such a small place and hilly that it doesn't matter too much).
Review 2:Staff were polite, and accommodating. They did their best to assist as needed.
Review 3:The hotel is a good base for exploring the mountains and villages of the Upper Engadine, particularly since it is close to the train station and bus stop and offers (for stays of 2 nights or more) a free pass to all public transport in the region (trains, buses, cable-cars etc) .
Review 4:Excellent location next to railway station. Staff were extremely helpful, especially with hiking suggestions and maps. Breakfast was a buffet with a large variety of food. Restaurant provided basic food and was very convenient.
Review 5:Not over friendly reception. Requested nice room with a view & if we stood on a box we did have a view of the railway station.
Review 6:Smart hotel if you like a smart hotel.
Review 7:WiFi rather difficult and could not do email
Review 8:Location chosen because next to Train Station. The alternative St Moritz you need a taxi for luggage. Whilst eating venues were limited the walk was easy, they had excellent food and service. PS hotel restaurant being refurbished.
Review 9:Rooms a bit warm
Review 10:Location was great, nice friendly staff. Excellent restaurant, clean modern looking rooms with the charm in the main lobby and restaurant area.
Review 11:We were missing some fresh vegetables during breakfast. The hotel is not located in the quietest part of Pontresina.
Review 12:Proximity to cross-country trails and in-house restaurant with a great cuisine was absolutely a huge plus. The staff is very kind and helpful. Public transport vouchers were included in the room's fee.
Review 13:Overheated - even after turning heating off, couldn't get temperature down so had to sleep with wide open window in the snow/below freezing. Gave me a sore throat. Suggest they put blankets in the rooms as well as super-hot duvet/eiderdown. Breakfast options too limited and unhealthy and stodgy - cheese, cheese and preserved meat! They need to provide things like tomatoes, cucumbers, capsicum type "cold vegetable" foods as well.
Review 14:Right near railway station Right near bus stop Right near cross-country ski trails and shop Really nice helpful staff Good food, very helpful in catering to my gluten-free needs. Nice rooms and hotel design
Review 15:The staffs are friendly. The location is just perfect for travelers, where it's next to the train station and you can go to St. Moritz or other places very easily. In addition, we had dinner at the hotel and the food there is also very good. I think we have nothing to complain.
Review 16:Scrambled eggs and steamed rice would both be nice additions to breakfast. Also, it would be nice to have some vegetables in breakfast, but this is lacking in Swiss breakfasts in general.
Review 17:This hotel is very new and clean and the hotel staff were very kind and helpful. If you're traveling by train, like us, don't bother with hotels in St. Moritz, the location and quality of this hotel are perfect. The slopes in the towns of this area make it very hard to find a hotel which is located next to a train station, especially if you're coming in with luggage and wish to go out daily for sightseeing on trains and buses - Hotel Station is perfect for this, it's just a short walk away from the platforms and bus stop, yet still quiet and pleasant inside. We were also happy to find that the hotel belongs to an adjacent Italian restaurant, our favorite cuisine. We chose to eat there several times, including one time when we were served to our room. Breakfast was nice and plentiful and the freshly baked whole wheat bread was exceptional. Overall a very pleasant experience and a very good value for money.
Review 18:The room was a bit pricey but all hotels in Switzerland are like that..
Review 19:1. Everything! 2. The staff at the front desk and the pizzeria were delightful. Made us feel at home! 3. Quiet 4. Food was good and well priced compared to a lot of Swiss hotels. 5. Right by the train station! 6. Walk into Pentresina would take a while but that didn't bother us any. 7. Don't waste your time in St. Moritz as Pontresina and the Station Hotel have it beat. 8. This is the first place we stayed that was worth the price we paid! 9. Great Breakfast.
Review 20:Warm and cozy hotel with a great restaurant and breakfast. Excellent location too.

Review 28:everything
Review 29:The bed rooms were more like a 4star than 3 star. Lovely receptionist was very helpful great location just across from the train station.
Review 30:Rooms were a bit too warm and not sure where to change temp.
Review 31:Location anf friendly staff. Very clean rooms.
Review 32:-Adjacent to station -Large room -Clean -Decent restaurant

Review 35:Our beds could have used new mattresses.
Review 36:Location, cleanliness, breakfast buffet
Review 37:Small hotel, quiet.clean and very convenient to train and bus. Staff very nice and breakfast adequate.
Review 38:Very poor internet service
Review 39:We could not stay longer!
Review 40:Staff were all extremely helpful (including understanding a one day delayed check in due to a train strike in Italy- not even in Switzerland) so we were quite impressed. Fantastic gesture of free bus/train travel in and out of nearby St. Moritz another unexpected pleasure
Review 41:The hotel and our room were way too hot. It was like a sauna. Also: uncomfortable matrasses and pilows. Quite expensive for a three star hotel, but normal prices for CH.
Review 42:Location opposite the railway station is great. Quiet rooms, nice breakfast.
Review 43:Nothing
Review 44:Conveniently located across the street from the train station. We boarded the Bernina express the following morning with ease. A very pleasant stay!
Review 45:Since we booked late for the room, the price is little bit beyond budget. TV's channels is limited, and in Germany. We don't understand...
Review 46:The hotel is near Pontresina train station, nice location. Receptionist is very kind to offer information. And some of them remember us, which really surprise us. Nice service! We are really happy that we can buy ski pass there 25chf per person. The restaurant looks nice. Pizza are dilicious!
Review 47:Nothing much, except its price. Well, this is Switzerland! However, I was totally disappointed when I visited the town - it was a total shut down on Nov 30, 2013.But this has nothing to do with the hotel, of course.
Review 48:The hotel is well located; just in front of the railway station and within easy walking distance to the town. Room is of adequate size, clean, bright and comfortable. One has that exhilerating holiday feelings by just watching those skiers outside the windows and the snow-capped mountains neraby.
Review 49:Was located near train station, but without the noise. This made for ease of many day trips on trains and busses. We had a free transportation pass that came with the room. Great breakfast and nice restaurant . Very freindly staff
Review 50:Very close to train station, which was primary reason for selecting this hotel. Rooms were small but comfortable. Restaurant was very good. Staff very helpful.
Review 51:Nothing negative to describe Hotel Station.
Review 52:Location is across the street to train station. Quiet and comfortable room. Staff were very helpful with advices on local interest and sight. We also enjoy really good meals in the restaurant within theology complex. Breakfast was quite wide spread. A good hotel to access nearby interesting sights. Appreciate the hotel for arranging a free pass which allows us to access Diavolessa on gondola free of charge.
Review 53:This hotel was very modern and with lots of charm. the restaurant offers great food and a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is situated right across from the train station. highly recommended.
Review 54:Nothing. It was perfect.
Review 55:Wonderful little hotel, far exceeded expectations. Swiss hotels areexpensive in general, but this one was an excellent value, consideringlocation proximity to train, room quality, view, breakfast wasoutstanding, sauna.
Review 56:Like most other hotels in Switzerland room temperature is kept far too hot.
Review 57:Convenient location Nice outlook Nice ambience Good food and bar Excellent value for money
Review 58:The waiter in the restaurant didn't speak English, which was asurprise to us because swiss in other cities speak it well. The downtownarea was 10 minutes uphill walk away from the hotel.
Review 59:The location close to the train station was a plus when we needed to geton the train in 2 minutes. The food served in the restaurat tasted good.
Review 60:No problems with anything.
Review 61:It was very close to the railway station. Excellent breakfast with planty choice. Same for evening meal, varied menu with wide choice; well cooked, prepared and presented.
Review 62:1. breakfast staff was not friendly. He didn't make any smile. 2. My guide called the reception (a female staff) to give me inportant information, however, I never received it. As a result, I had a trouble in this tour. Other staff were generally friendly.
Review 63:Nice location. Just in front of the railway station. Very clean room.
Review 64:Breakfast selection could be more extensive, but nevertheless it was fine.
Review 65:Very conveniently located as you can imagine, right by the station, but only about 10 minutes walk into the hub of Pontresina. This hotel is very new with a contemporary style which we liked. Rooms are not particularly large, but adequate and the bathroom is quite small (shower only which is fine with me). Good wi-fi reception. Continental breakfast was fine, not a huge selection, but OK. You can boil your own eggs using an electric device, which is quite a nice touch. The Pizza selection in the restaurant is good, I'd recommend the venison pizza, which was topped with a surprising amount of vension.
Review 66:We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful - lovely people. The breakfast buffets were great - couldn't have asked for more. Our room was very good and the shower was good too. It was refreshing to have BBC World on the TV Channels. The WiFi speed was good in our room. It was great to relax at the two chairs and table and look out at the view over the mountains.
Review 67:Very colse to train station. Clean room and good restaurant. Five minutes walking from city center where you can enjoy one of the best spa ever visited.
Review 68:my partner did not like the modern style and we wanted to change but it was not possible for the terms and conditions. The receptionist was a bit too cold. I asked for the bus membership but he convinced me do not take it because I have got the car. Then I spent more than 10 francs for a bus!!! The moral is: always insist for the bus membership!
Review 69:clenliness good breakfast
Review 70:Very good breakfast, just next to the rail station and cross-country skiing tracks. Very helpful staff.
Review 71:Closeness to train station , bus stop and cross country ski facilities. Architecture of the building.
Review 72:Perfect location for cross country skiing.
Review 73:No complaints

Review 75:Room is small.
