Reviews for B&B Cochem
Review 1:WiFi was spotty in the apartment however there is a room upstairs with better reception if needed.
Review 2:Location was excellent. Cochem is beautiful little town that had a lot to offer. Boutiques, clothing stores, groceries, restaurants, bakeries, bars/pubs, specialty shops...Cochem has something for everyone. It was a little difficult to find at first since it was in the heart of the town and we weren't sure if we were allowed to drive into the town. Paid parking was convenient and just up the hill. The host was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for a nicer host! We had the 2 bedroom apartment which was much larger than expected with all necessary amenities we needed. Room was well maintained, clean and comfortable. WiFi was spotty but worked well enough for when we needed it. We loved the variety of cookies he left at the front desk, it added a nice touch. The castle is just up the road (definitely worth the tour no matter what language you speak) but beware, there's not much parking up there. The mountain road is walkable, but pretty steep. Definitely take time to explore the town. We found another street on our last morning! Cochem is also in a great area to visit other larger neighboring towns. I would highly recommend this B&B. We will go back when traveling again through that area.
Review 3:Room a bit dark more lighting needed plus a sink in a odd place in living room??? Otherwise great.
Review 4:Very helpful and tentative host, great location for Castle and town centre.
Review 5:Steep hill to B&B but very close to center of town. Wi-Fi only in public areas. Probably not suitable for those with mobility issues due to steepness.
Review 6:Hosts Bas & Bridget (B&B) very good and accommodating. Two couples had the ground floor suite and an upper double room. Breakfast good! Bas provided great overview of things to do in area and recommended restaurants. Especially liked the Ratskeller Restaurant in the cellar of the town hall. Highly recommend.
Review 7:I didn't like the hill we had to use to get to the Bed and Breakfast, but that was me. We are not used to hills for walking.
Review 8:Everything. Bus was a great host. The rooms were great, clean and comfortable. Breakfast had choices to choose from. We drove and the parking was good until someone put a ding in the drivers door. Great place to stay.
Review 9:Great friendly and supportive advice from Bas the owner. He went out of his way to make us welcome - lots of sound advice on places to eat evening meals (important in Cochem), where to buy wine, what activities to do and how to organise them. And all done in a most engaging and friendly manner.
Review 10:Parking is somewhat troublesome, but the hotel owners are happy to assist
Review 11:Large, comfortable rooms, fully equipped, great hosts, 5-star service. Only a short walk to the castle.
Review 12:Bas was an excellent and attentive host. The room (apartment) we had was a great value and we would return there again in a heartbeat.
Review 13:The location is perfect, the area is quiet, the building is immaculate, and host Bas takes great care in making his guests comfortable.
Review 14:Need some better pillows (but I understand this is the same across Germany)!
Review 15:The most friendly hosts ever.
Review 16:Location is perfect, right in the old town of Cochem. The room was on the ground floor and included a full kitchen with dining area right on the street, felt like our home in Cochem! The owner is extremely kind and helpful.
Review 17:Nothing!
Review 18:Extremely helpful owner and a nice welcome with a coffee/beer on arrival. Excellent breakfast. You could not fault the location right in the centre of Cochem. A excellent town to visit between Christmas and the New Year as all of the restaurants and bars were open but not that crowded so easy to get places to eat
Review 19:The B&B was a good hike up hill and then even higher up to park our car. Further up the hill was Reichsburg! This town is all about walking up the mountain. Our room was a 4th floor walk-up...a very comfortable room with private bath. The owner was very accommodating and friendly; breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat.
Review 20:B&B Cochem is a very nice place to stay with friendly & helpful hosts. We stayed in a suite with full kitchen (not that we used it) which gave us adequate room. The breakfast was great - It is located outside the busy part of town, so it was very quiet, but still a short walk to everything available.
Review 21:Wi-fi was a bit poor.
Review 22:Very nice, authentic German bed and breakfast in the heart of Cochem. Friendly, always smiling and helpful owners. Tasty breakfast. Would like to come back some day again.
Review 23:If I have to give a "dis-like" I would have to say the weatherwasn't the best during our stay. Hardly our accommodation'sfault and we were just happy to have the fantastic B&B Cochem torelax in. It didn't slow us down though where we explored the castleand some wine tasting on our rainy day
Review 24:This has to be the best B&B we've ever stayed at. Our room wasupgaded from the family room to the 2 bedroom apartment which was great. The apartment rooms and living areas were large, stylishly decorated, clean (loved the smell of the towels!!), and well appointed. Bas made usfeel very comfortable, gave us maps/information on the town, andadvised us on the best "un-touristy" restaurants to try intown. Breakfast was superb and the location was right in the historictown which is where you want to be for a stay in Cochem. I can't sayenough good things about our time there. If you are looking foraccommodation in the Cochem area, stay at B&B Cochem and you willnot be disappointed.
Review 25:Friendly, helpful hosts, attractive, comfortable quarters, good choice of breakfast foods, centrally located in the heart of Cochem. We were very happy with the facility.
Review 26:We liked everything. Cochem is a great base for exploring the Moselle and the wine is superb if you like dry rieslings.
Review 27:Location is easy to find from train station and tucked at the foot of the castle in the old town. Innkeeper made great suggestions for walks and day trips. He also drove us back to the station - thanks again, Bas!
Review 28:Leaving.
Review 29:Loved the location which was very central, we had booked the ground floor apartment, which offered a well stocked kitchen (utility wise), extremely comfortable bed, small but adequate bathroom with shower and a superb breakfast which set us up for the day!! but above all else a friendly welcome from Bas, who also recommended several walks and good eateries for evening meals.
Review 30:excellent breakfast, stocked fridge on arrival, massive room (more an apartment, really)
Review 31:Owners/proprietors
Review 32:Very noisy town (take earplugs). Wi-Fi extremely patchy.
Review 33:Great location, friendly staff, comfortable accommodation.
