Reviews for Le St-Martin Hotel & Suites

Review 1:Tried to call them to make a reservation but they replied the hotel was booked and I decided to go online after two minutes and booked a room. I find that really unfortunate and unprofessional not wanting to book a reservation over the phone and the front desk didn't even smile once.

Review 2:The room was clean and the front desk lady was very nice during check out.

Review 3:I didn't like fact the gym was a small room .Having said that was good enough to get a run on a treadmill and eliptical.

Review 4:Nice clean hotel. Helpful staff. loved pool and breakfast included with dinner. Close to lots of restaurants in Laval.

Review 5:The housekeeping was very late and was waiting for us to leave while we were getting ready for the wedding at 3:00pm. She had just entered the room when we got back- we noticed the first thing was taken was the tip we left- she was going to take it anyway but a bit tacky to be the first thing you take.

Review 6:The hotel was clean- very close (like across the street) to the venue we attended for a wedding. The breakfast was very nice and had amazing bagels from the most famous Montreal bagel bakery! Some hot food, fruit croissants cereal for kids. The rooms were well equipped and decent size for a Jr. Exec suite.

Review 7:Could add a little more to the breakfast... like fruit salad and bacon

Review 8:I really like my stay at this hotel... i always book at this hotel when I want to relax - very quiet,

Review 9:the hot tub jacuzzi down stairs could have been hotter. We thought we were supposed to have robes in our room, but we did not and that would have been fantastic.

Review 10:Proximity to metro was great. FREE wi-fi and breakfast was awesome. Clean, accommodating, microwave, fridge, little kitchen were all great little touches. Little Kuerig was nice too.

Review 11:Another protein option in the breakfast menu would have been nice aside from egg everyday. A little variety would have been nice to see especially if you stay more than 2 nights. The pool was small.

Review 12:The room was kept really clean. Good location close to hwy, mall and food chains. We had a good comfortable sleep. Breakfast menu had lots of variety.

Review 13:I didn't like I couldn't have a cup of coffee in my room. The coffee machine was not working and I should have said something but, I didn't have the time. I didn't think about the coffee until it was time to make it. I was in room

Review 14:I liked that my room and the facility was very clean and pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would come back and stay again. Hopefully, next time it would be for pleasure instead of business.

Review 15:The only thing I could complain about was considering how much we paid for the room there was no complementary water bottles...yet 8 Fiji bottles placed at 4-6$ each...

Review 16:Driving up to the hotel is simply breathtaking in itself. The hotel is enormous, grand and majestic from the outside and believe me the inside does not disappoint. Walking into our room and everything was incredibly clean and you could tell there was so much attention to detail that the radio was even on playing classical music in the background. Free parking, close to restaurants and shopping malls, and free breakfast which was also delicious and exceeded my expectations!!!

Review 17:Elevator is very slow, so stairs are better for travelling; the room next door had an all-night party, which woke me up at 3:00 a.m. Not cool.

Review 18:The bed was very comfortable, kitchen with fridge convenient, and quiet in terms of not hearing outdoor noises (e.g. no road noise)

Review 19:Nothing negative to report.

Review 20:The room was very clean and homey! We had great service from the front desk and from the Lady looking after breakfast! Good food also! Thanks!

Review 21:The hotel looked brand spanking new. Although there was a charge for all the goodies and drinks on the night table and in the mini-fridge/bar, at least the option of munching and pooring yourself a nice wine/sparkling wine, beer, pop or juice was offered. Very much appreciated after a long drive and a late check-in when everything is closed.

Review 22:The room was overwhelmed with food and drink that was for sale. No towel bar in the washroom outside of the one in the shower. There was no meat (bacon/sausage) on the breakfast buffet. No bathrobes. The room said was to have a "view" but didn't mention that the view was of Target and a parking lot. I guess any room that has a window has a view.

Review 23:Quiet. The undercover smoking area. Staff spoke English as well as French.

Review 24:- had to take the elevator to the 3rd floor then walk down a long hall with my luggage to get to another elevator that would take me to my room on the 5th floor - had a fire drill shortly after I checked in and had to stand outside in the cold-sound was deafening and I the reason I had checked in early was to try to get some work done - I asked for a wake up call at 6:00 a.m. and the call didn't come until 6:30 so there wasn't time to sit and have breakfast -reception area had a very musty smell - no office chair for the desk, only a regular chair that was not comfortable - bed was too hard for me- not comfortable - no tea provided, only coffee

Review 25:- size of room - comforter and pillows were great - had fridge in room

Review 26:Height of the Bed - too high - my Mother had to climb on top of a suitcase to get on it Breakfast - It was good, however, I think it could be in a larger area with a better selection. For the type of hotel, it merits that

Review 27:The spaciousness of the room The location The hospitality The look of the hotel

Review 28:There was nothing I liked. Worst value of any place I have stayed.

Review 29:The property has no services. You could get a better attempt of a pampered stay at a KOA campground. There is no restaurant( they carter every morning), no bar( there was but nobody worked at it the three days we were there), the hot tub not even warm enough to stay in so they might as well not have one. The breakfast had pre-packed waffles and cereal in a bowl wrapped in plastic???? This is a four star???? What would it take to be a two star. In what world is this dump 4,5 stars? We had the do not disturb sign on the door and the maid came in anyway. She cleaned half the room, broke the glass on the table and left like she had never been there. We had to go down and spent hours of our time explaining over and over again trying to prove we didn't do it. The room didn't have pay per view. The tv lost reception so often we opted to just leave it off because of it. The air consitioner in the room couldnt cool the room if you tan the jaccuzI. It was the worst stay i have ever had and the room with tax was close to $300 a night. The only way I would suggest someone should stay there is if they don't want to have anything but a decent room and if the cost was somewhere between $49-69 a night.

Review 30:Cold reception and very expeditious at the entrance and at the exit. Very poor breakfast buffet. A lot of noise in the corridor. Reserved a week in advance and still could not have a room toward the parking lot despite the promise! Very slow WiFi internet connection that disconnects from time to time!

Review 31:The location, the architecture.

Review 32:1- People next door wake up too early (even on weekends), and the sound insulation for the rooms is not the best, which is why the hotel is better suited for older couples. 2- House keeping people can be a bit loud. 3- No luggage porter. 4- Tiny Gym.

Review 33:1- Friendly Staff 2- Great, comfortable bedding 3- Well furnished rooms and good electronics. 4- Good Complimentary Breakfast

Review 34:Mouldy dirty rag Odour - had to 'fight' to get the shower curtain replaced. In window A/C very noisy (which also had an offputting scent) Several single elevators throughout the floor - each takes a very long time Single person working the front desk so there was often a long line

Review 35:Breakfast team were hard working (although they ran out of croissants quickly, and very limited space to house all the guests)

Review 36:The bed was not comfortable. The front desk staff was not friendly, professional but unfriendly. The items for sale in the room were a little excessive.

Review 37:The room with the mini-bar and the fridge were very helpful. The room was very clean and the housekeeping staff was excellent. The products, toiletries, linens and towels were very good quality. The breakfast was good even with out the meet. There were a lot of stores and places to eat near the hotel.

Review 38:Comp breakfast had no meat option and eggs were dry. Service started at 7:30. Late for travelers on the go!

Review 39:Room (suite) VERY nice and roomy. Walking distance to Metro. Nice patio eating. Free parking a plus. Has feel of old luxury.

Review 40:If you happen to be given a room on a floor higher than the third, it is very confusing and exhausting to transport luggage from the first elevator to a second elevator, both in different locations. The nice piano was not accessible to guests.

Review 41:The pool and reception areas were attractive

Review 42:No value for the price. I have stayed in expensive hotels with betterrooms and better service. I choose this hotel because I was travellingwith an older family member and the reviews claimed it was very quiet. This was not the case! The beds were noisy, wood frame or slatscracking, each time I moved, and I weight 110 lbs!! The intercom musicin the hallway was loud enough to be heard in the room, even with thenoisy ac on. Some other dissapointments: No towel racks in washroom tohang towels once used (and they claim to be "eco"). We wereonly two, I can’t imaging four people using this bathroom were there isno room to hang towels or place your toiletry/makeup kit. TheComplimentary toiletries would not be enoght for 4. (at this price youshouldn’t need to ask) Lighting was poor, room and washroom. Unable toopen the windows. I mentioned this at the reception in the morning andthe staff was very rightist in her response. They keep the handle foropening the windows at reception. I suggested that they let guest knowthat the handles are at reception when incase they wish to have freshair . Her reply was , no, because smokers would smoke in the room. As anon-smoker, I never thought that hotels would not allow guest to openwindows because they might smoke... She was very firm about the smokersand windows, she repeated this 3 times, Telling me that they would nevertell guest the handles are at reception. Other things I need to shake myhead at: The pavers in front of the entrance might be"charming" in look, but everyone arriving with their wheeledsuitcase, needed to carry them instead of rolling them, due to thewheels not rolling properly because the pavers are too spaced out andnot smooth sidewalk for pedestrians from the parking to entrance.

Review 43:Hotel was clean

Review 44:Very small pool and exercise room.

Review 45:Loved the music playing in the room when we entered. Excellent (but pricey) honor bar. Very comfortable beds. Excellent and very accommodating staff.

Review 66:we have nothing to complain about!

Review 67:Our complete stay!

Review 68:The front desk girl who 'welcomed' us when we arrived was having a bad day. She was rude and condescend.

Review 69:Breakfast was good, but could use more variety

Review 70:Almost every everything

Review 71:To a 4-star hotel, the breakfast is really suck. The only hot food is omelet, no bacon.

Review 113:Clean Hotel room and grounds

Review 114:Spa hours

Review 115:Breakfast could be upgraded. Very few options to choose from

Review 116:Nice clean and comfy room

Review 117:All of the items for sale left on every table. It makes the whole experience so commercial. A simple price list would have been sufficient. Staff at check in seemed a bit short tempered.

Review 118:The room was clean and well appointed and the bed incredibly comfortable. Great location Did not have breakfast but the buffet looked delicious.

Review 119:Breakfast much to early. Also thé fact that thé TV câble was cut off at 11 am , an hour before noon.Réception called at 11:20 am to sée if we were leaving thé room. We slept at thé Hôtel 3 nights and on thé last morning again knocking on our door to ask if we were soon leaving thé room. Over all it seemed like this Hôtel is for Business not pleasure. Talked to manager who by thé way did not seem interested in satisfying is customers.
