Review 1：Lack of service: no restaurant (though there is a very nice vaulted room opening on the park), no possibility to even have a snack.There is a bar, but no specific staff attending to it, so you have to ask someone at the lobby or ring them if they are not there, to get something. It is not inviting at all and we did not use it. We stayed almost a week and i saw people having drinks at night there only once, even though the hotel was full. It was a bit surprising and giving the place a "too quiet" atmosphere. No air conditionning: it was a hot summer week (>35°C) and just a small fan in a triple room did not do the job to keep us cool at night. Breakfast was OK but not particularly fancy and exactly the same everyday. Fresh fruit salad would have been appreciated instead of canned fruits in the middle of summer. Overall a good place but way too pricey for what you get.

Review 2：The location, quiet (very much so-->if you like feeling a bit of animation vibe, this is not the right place for you) and 5 mns away from Lugano lake and restaurants on foot. It was very easy to drive to the Major lake and Como lake from Castlano (<1h). Lovely setting, classy in a relaxed way with attention to details, very nice pool and park, original artwork all over the place. You absolutely need a car to stay there though. A good place for people looking for a quiet getaway or families travelling with young children but i would not recommend it if you have teens who would certainly get bored very fast. Comfortable bed and perfect cleanliness. Excellent WIFI. Helpful staff.

Review 4：Excellent location close to the old village Caslano. Large room with nice furniture and paintings. Superb breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. Free parking facilities. Close to boat or train trips to Lugano.

Review 7：Hotel is clean and beautiful. The whole place is peaceful with every house have it's own gardening beauty. Can walk around the lake in the morning towards the rising sun, take relaxing boat cruise around Lugano, have tasty food in local restaurants along the lake side.

Review 25：We were pleasantly surprised and really liked the Albergo Gardenia. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were nice and clean, it was in a quiet neighborhood about 3-4 minute walk from the village of Caslano on Lake Lugano. It is only minutes drive from the Italian border and close enough to walk to the Alprose Chocolate Factory/Museum. The owner pointed us in the direction of a few nice restaurants by the lake. There was plenty of parking and it was easy to find. They had a nice pool and garden area and the breakfast buffet was wonderful! There were also some nice rooms to sit and watch TV or read. It is a very relaxing hotel and I would definitely stay there again.
