Review 1：The service in the restaurant was appalling and would never eat there again, let alone recommend anyone going there. They just don't acknowledge you when you stand waiting for 8mins in the doorway looking for a table.

Review 3：The hotel breakfast and dinner food was good but not great, nothing to complain about but nor to rave. The receptionist was friendly but the one we spoke to did not know a lot about area activities (perhaps new). We needed to go to the Info center in town to really get good knowledge. Not realizing Santa Maria church with the frescos was only open during specific times.

Review 4：The location, the transit pass, the friendliness of restaurant staff and manager and the unexpected holiday Apero! The hotel rooms have recently been renovated and are very nice. The area is amazing. So much to do and see. By far the Morteratsch Glacier and Alp Grum were our favorite.

Review 5：During our stay construction works were going on. Although reserved, there was no parking space in the garage. The breakfast was a catastrophy, the personell was totally overstrained, tables were not cleaned.

Review 17：It is quite far from the station and uphill, but they provide free pick up. Even if they dont, there is bus from the station to the hotel, once in 30 mins. Located in the main road. Spacious room. 2 minutes from supermarket. Hearty breakfast, they are quick in refilling. Compare to what we get, the price is very cheap!

Review 19：The hotel picked us up and took us to the train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made our stay very pleasant.

Review 20：I booked a room for 4 in order to accommodate 2 children. When we arrived the baby bed was not installed. This was supposed to be a room for 4 and it only had a (certainly big) double bed. But nothing else. And it's a steep walk up into the village - but this is relevant for almost all hotels.

Review 21：I really liked the old sledges and ski equipment dotted around the hotel. Nice touch. Room quite high-spec and able to block out the light quite effectively. Very clean and new bathrooms and rooms.

This lovely hotel had the best front end staff ever, generous rooms, great beds and showers, and balconies to enjoy the views and a bottle of wine. Review 70：There was no soap or any toiletries in my room. When I called down to the front desk, I was told they were all out, but more would come in the morning. When I expressed my shock and irritation and said that I had to have some soap, the girl at the front desk brought up two shampoo "samples" the size of sugar packets. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Breakfast was very limited. Fruit was obviously recycled from a prior event (Sliced strawberries did not seem fresh and had "holes" in them, probably from being on a skewer.) Croissant was not very good.

Review 72：The parking was "full" as it was reserved by the guests that arrived before (???), even though there were free spaces. It costs anyway 15 CHF/day. The sauna and wellness were pretty small for the number of rooms. The elevator was pretty slow. This hotel would be ok at 130CHF/night.

Review 87：The lift was not working and the hotel was being renovated so there was a lot of noise early in the morning. We had not been made aware of this when we booked. We were not offered a discount but got a slight reduction of rate when we let them know we were dissatisfied. Our room was hardly a charming, alpine room. At first we were given a room for disabled people (the shower was only half the height of a normal shower). Eventually we got a room that had been updated and it was OK but a bit dark and dismal. At least the bed was comfortable but the sheets were not changed during the 3 nights we were there.

The "sofa bed" is not an accurate term - it is a "sofa trundle bed" as it does not fold out into a bed, rather, there is another bed under it. The beds were hard as well. The walls were damaged and the carpets were very worn. Breakfast was adequate but could have been fresher.

Review 95：Really enjoyed the stay. The mountain rail pass is a big plus with upper Engadin area and the staff are extremely nice, knowledgeable about the area. More importantly, they remember and recognize guests' names and faces, so that I feel like coming home after day hikes. Great restaurants. Loved everything I tried, from pasta to meat dishes. Great location with great view from the window. The value for money in the area is excellent.

The hotel was undergoing restoration but this was very unobtrusive, and if the rooms are all being made to the standard of the one we were in, this will become a definite 4* hotel.
