Reviews for The Crystal Lodge and Suites

Review 1:Nothing bad to say we will definitely be back to stay again!

Review 2:Great Location close to the gondolas, very friendly staff, nice outdoor jacuzzi and the rooms were very clean and spacious.

Review 3:There wasn't anything I didn't like!

Review 4:The staff at check in were amazing and very helpful! It was my birthday and when our room was ready I had a beautiful birthday card and some tasty chocolates. Nicest touch :)

Review 5:Noisy heating system and fridge!

Review 6:Friendly and informative staff. Loft apartment perfect for family of three adults with kitchen/diner so we could have a home from home Christmas dinner. Located close to the Whistler Gondola.

Review 7:we didn't get room service, so our room wasn't cleaned the 2nd day we were there. i was pretty disappointed as it was my first time to whistler.

Review 8:liked the staff they were really welcoming and had a home like feeling when we arrived and checked in.

Review 9:Great location- center of everything but outside noise too loud in late evening. A lot of yelling and fighting from people leaving nearby pub (from 11p-3a). Room picked up all outside noise. Soundproofing window would be excellent and will return if installed! Or, stay on other side of building away from the outside public walking area.

Review 10:Amenities, great wifi, friendly staff, excellent location, and very cleaned!

Review 11:Very close to lifts in Village and transit if needed..right in heart of upper Village and short stroll to everything...considering Pet Friendly very clean rooms and great staff.

Review 12:Nothing

Review 13:When I arrived, there was a personalized note thanking me that I was a repeat guest and had come back. The Old Spaghetti Factory downstairs makes it possible to have a good dinner for a reasonable price. Very close to the Whistler convention Center.

Review 14:Friendly and very helpful staff, great location, clean and comfortable rooms, hot tub and pool were nice to go and relax in. Would definitely recommend this hotel if your going to stay in whistler, we will be looking to stay there next time we visit!!!

Review 15:Pool and hot tub should be open later

Review 16:I loved how it was right in the village and the staff was super nice and helpful. Only thing was wish the pool and hot tub was open later to enjoy it under the stars at night

Review 17:N/A

Review 18:When I go to Whistler I always stay at Crystal Lodge. It's priced fairly, the staff are very accommodating, and the location is central to everything.

Review 19:Sound insulation is really bad. You can hear clearly from the hallway and the tv or conversation next door.

Review 20:Convenient location. Environmental initiative. Very efficient checkout. Nice view of the village.

Review 21:Nothing we didnt like.

Review 22:Lovely hotel, nice to have bathrobes in the room + slippers. Nice hot jacuzzi and swimming pool. Good food and facilities within the hotel.

Review 23:Weird that we had to pass the Old Spaghetti Factory to get to our elevator.

Review 24:Great location. Wild Wood restaurant in hotel was a bonus. Love that place.

Review 25:What did we like - everything! The hotel was excellent. Friendly and professional staff. A lovely room with a view. Whistler is just a beautiful place!

Review 26:I think the pool and hot tub were a bit lacking. Having to leave the hotel to get to it was not ideal. It was small as well. I appreciate that deliveries need to take place and that is optimism to have these deliveries early in the morning, unfortunately they were a bit loud....not sure anything can be done with that. The system was down when we were leaving and I was assured an email statement would be sent which I have not yet received after a couple of days.

Review 27:The room was great. We paid extra for a 1 bedroom with a kitchen. It had a lot of room and was very comfortable. The staff were great, friendly and helpful.

Review 28:Great location, actual loft suite was fabulous with 2 bathrooms which was a bonus. Very comfortable stay, staff were excellent. Restaurant attached to Crystal Lodge was perfect (only had breakfast but great food for great prices).

Review 29:Our room was facing the back alley and the garbage and delivery trucks in the early morning were quite loud. The hotel did provide ear plugs though

Review 30:Staff were incredible and the lication was perfect

Review 31:The only thing was that the lamps near the bed were not working properly. A staff member came to my room and replaced the bulbs. But that should have been checked before I arrived.

Review 32:I like the central location. The rooms are comfortable. A new restaurant has also opened up inside the hotel...so that's an added bonus.

Review 33:No breakfast included or microwave in the room. Airconditiiner very loud. No screens on window, so could not open it. The lamp between beds did not work

Review 34:Lovely and clean.

Review 35:My only problem was that when we arrived at 2.30pm we were told checkin was 4pm which I thought was pretty late. But there's load to do around town so no biggie.

Review 36:Location was great, room though small had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Hot tub was more a warm tub but still great. Parking was $22 but we knew that in advance. I would stay here again.

Review 37:Great location, very helpful staff who have great ideas for things to do and paves to eat. A very good room with lots of space quick wifi and beat for people watching over Village Stroll.

Review 38:The room was dark and oddly laid out with the bed inches from the door. The bed was not very comfortable and we experienced a false fire alarm at 2:30am. No compensation.

Review 39:The bathroom was spacious, updated and well-appointed. Wifi speeds were very good.

Review 40:Staff went above Ms beyond to make us comfortable. Didn't like initial room so upgraded to the Kimg which was well worth the extra $10 a night. Great location. Recently renovated bathrooms. Very comfortable!

Review 41:Due to having a pet we had a hard time having our room cleaned(they really had no system in place to have us let them know when we were out of the room), Indoor pool would have been nice.

Review 42:Very easy access to the Village, Wifi was strong and fast, Pool and Jacuzzi were clean, Staff was very friendly and helpful, bathroom was recently updated in a modern and pleasing style.

Review 43:Our room was facing another building. Not the best but we don't really mind because we had the curtains closed anyways. Hotel parking is about $22 a night so we chose to park at the free parking lot about 15 mins walk away.

Review 44:Excellent location. Very convenient. Right at the village. Friendly staff. They hand wrote me a welcome card which I thought was a very nice gesture. It started with ''welcome back...'' so they knew I am a returning customer. Very thoughtful. I originally booked a twin bed because a queen bed wasn't available. I spoke to the staff prior to arrival and was luckily upgraded to a king bed. I was so thankful. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay.

Review 45:We did have to park offsite but it wasn't far and it was half the price of parking right at the hotel, their parking was full.

Review 46:This is a very nice high quality hotel in the middle of the village very comfortable would recommend to stay there.

Review 47:Staff was very nice and friendly. The room was clean. We checked out at 11am. They hold our suite cases and let us leave the car there for 3 more hours for free of charge.

Review 48:The parking is an additional $22; otherwise you have to walk across the village(10-15 minutes away from hotel) They don't offer complimentary breakfast or even coffee/ tea in their lobby.

Review 49:The room was very nice, nice bathroom. The outdoor pool and hot tub were nice and warm.

Review 50:My parents and I did not like the fact we had to pay for parking. It was rather insulting to be charged for this. This is the first hotel we've ever been charged parking for ever. The main bed was great, the sofa bed was rather uncomfortable considering this is supposed to be a deluxe or king suite.

Review 51:Parking is really expensive. Better to find a parking nearby for half the price. Standard rooms are very small.

Review 52:Great and very helpful staff. Convenient location. Starbucks inside for quick coffee and snacks for the kids.

Review 53:Room was very small. Even for two people, the 2 double room was tiny.

Review 54:Awesome location, great staff and the best Eggs Benny in town are right in the hotel restaurant.

Review 55:breakfast was not included. Small bathrooms

Review 56:very friendly and polite staff. Excellent convenient location, so close to everything. Best value for money

Review 57:Lift from the lobby are very slow. Whistler thinks its dog very friendly but it is really not, your dog can not go with you up the hill or to a terrace outside a restaurant, not the hotels fault but worth considering if planning a trip here. Wake up BC this is not dog friendly!

Review 58:The only things were the late check in time and a mattress that was too firm for my taste.

Review 59:Great people, clean , great pool Jacuzzi, great location, nice rooms, great local food!

Review 60:We have been going there every year and wud think that because we stay there about 6 to 8 days at time we would get some benefits for being regular customers.

Review 61:The house keeper knocking on your door every morning The second morning she walked in I was still in bed both mornings

Review 62:A very comfortable hotel very little noise at night, great restaurants, great walking access to everything

Review 63:Rooms were on the small side, but the price was right.

Review 64:Location, location, location. The Hotel is in the middle of the village so if you plan to be around (MTB or Ski) it is absolutely perfect. Staff was very helpful.

Review 65:We were a group of 3 women and were given 2 connecting rooms (each with 2 beds) so we could leave the door open and not be separate. Was like a house party!

Review 66:- room was sub par to the price we paid, tiny and more like a closet - view of a wall, tiny bathroom - pool was next to Old Spaghetti Factory and very very busy - parking is $22+tax, very small parking stalls

Review 67:- location - clean room

Review 68:Parking accessibility could be improved but that's a Whistler problem!

Review 69:Friendliness of staff really stood out! Rooms were clean, wifi was on point, price was right and location was perfect! And the pool was pretty decent too!

Review 70:The window in our room didn't face anything. Any view was obscured by the balcony of the room next to is.

Review 71:The location was fantastic and the staff was awesome.

Review 72:I didn't like how the wifi cut in and out and the lock to the downstairs bathroom wasn't working but other than these two mishaps, everything was wonderful.

Review 73:I loved the loft suite, the 2 bathrooms were very convenient! The bed was super comfy, everything was very clean, staff was friendly. The patio overlooked the village, great location. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 74:My wife and I traveled with another couple of friends. We had a great time and loved our stay. We can't wait to return for another vacation there.

Review 75:The beds aren't terribly comfortable.

Review 76:LOVED the price, location on the village stroll, the great value the room had. It was our anniversary, and the hotel sent up a free bottle of champagne for us, which was a great touch. The staff made dinner reservations for us, and were also more than willing to work with us on the price of parking (gave us other parking options nearby).

Review 77:We wwre upgraded into a two queen size bed suite and it was great. Liked everything - Beds; sauna; location. Particuarly liked the fact that they had a kettle and a tea pot! I could make a proper cup of tea - absolutely bonus anywhere in North America.

Review 78:We were appalled checking out to find out the movie rental was $16.99+ tax! Both my girlfriend and I saw $6.99 on the screen. Complete false advertisement. Of coarse of they put $16.99+ tax on the pay preview no one in their right mind would pay that. So they put $6.99 then add a 1 to that when you check out. We were really upset leaving this hotel for that reason. Thats Criminal to charge that.

Review 79:This hotel is a great location. We thought since we upgraded to a suite with a kitchen that we paid more for a view that looked out into the village but instead we were stuck on the 1st level looking at a parking lot and and the back windows of a store with a whole bunch of clutter and shoe boxes Nd garbage in the store back window. Someone should tell that store to cleanup their storage area.

Review 80:On check in Booking.com had no forwarded the online booking to Crystal Lodge from previous evening. We arrived at 3pm so would have expected them to be aware of our arrival. A room was found within half an hour of arrival

Review 81:Proximity to Whistler Ski Centre

Review 82:no kettle, had to try and boil water in the coffee machine which made the tea smell like old coffee. the heater is really loud and there is only a high setting for heat.

Review 83:The location was unbeatable! We were super central to everything - the gondola, the ski school, ski rental and all the shops/restaurants. Right in the middle of the village! very efficient room service, our room was made up around 8.30am each morning.

Review 84:You could hear some of the late night revelers making there way home in the early hours (at the weekend)

Review 85:Excellent location right in the middle of Whistler Village and a couple of minutes from the Ski Lifts

Review 86:The AC is pretty noisy. Also party folks on the street is quite noticable but kind of expected due to the location. The double bed room is tiny so we changed to a 2 bedroom suite which was a bit pricy compared to other locations we stayed.

Review 87:Location is ideal to get to the gondola quick and give lot's of options to drink and eat afterwards.

Review 88:TV signal was useless. View from window prohibitive. Get what you pay for.

Review 89:Location was excellent. Room was small and basic, beds very comfortable. Hot water. Good strorage.

Review 90:Elevators were slow, and the rooms looked a little tired. I'm not too picky so it didn't bother me but the more persnickety types might find the room "dirty". For the money and location it wasn't a problem at all for me.

Review 91:Location was amazing, right in the center of everything! Two minute walk to the lifts.

Review 92:Rooms 101 and 102 are located near the dumpsters and the trucks came early. If your not an early riser this will be annoying.

Review 93:The Crystal is centrally located and close to everything. The staff goes out of their way to help you and make you feel at home. We go ski every year some place different. Going back to Whistler and staying at the Crystal is at the top of our list and may outweigh going somewhere new. Aloha!

Review 94:The staff was really nice and the location was great especially if you are headed out to ski and snowboard. In the morning, there are lots of spots closeby for breakfast and coffee/tea. Then it's a very short walk to the gondolas. Convenient for those wearing ski boots.

Review 95:Sauna at the 4 th floor, then you had to walk all over to get to jacuzzy and with only one jacuzzy it was always full then you wall back a long wat back to the room.

Review 96:Location, the rooms were nice, starbucks on premise.

Review 97:We really had an awesome time. Check-in staff member was excellent and assisted us with extending our stay at a very reasonable rate. The location - you couldn't ask for better and the food and service at the new restaurant was absolutely tops. A pity it is so far from South Africa, otherwise we would be back in a flash!!

Review 98:This place does not have a room to store boots. You have to take your icy ski/snowboard boots back to your room. I have never heard of this before. There is an unrenovated and renovated side to the hotel. The small /un-Reno rooms are ok value but stuffy and a bit smelly. I'd pay an extra few hundred dollars to stay in the nice part. The double queen rooms in the nice side if the hotel are lovely.

Review 99:Awesome location. Very friendly staff.

Review 100:We had an accessible room our first night which was fine but the shower would overflow onto the bathroom floor if you stayed in a little too long.

Review 101:Loved the outdoor hotub!

Review 102:When staying in the village you must be prepared for noise. Located on the village stroll you will no doubt hear some loud people in the early hours who have been out celebrating being in such a fun place. The location is fantastic, but comes with a price.

Review 103:Location, location, location!!! In the heart of the village, two minute walk to the gondola. Great food in and around the hotel.

Review 104:Friendly and helpful staff. Great location! Pool and hot tub were closed for renovation but were able to go next door and use the hilton facilities. Would definitely stay again.

Review 105:Our room was run down so we asked for a change to other wing which was recently renovated this cost us 30$ a night but we did not see too much difference. We did not like expensive parking, to many noisy occupants in neighboring rooms.

Review 106:We like a location of our hotel. Right in the center. Close to everything.

Review 107:Not too keen on the parking but we do have a large vehicle but the underground was great the parking charge of 22.00 caught is off guard though should be indicated when booking

Review 108:Central location had everything you needed thank you

Review 109:It says on the website there's a gameroom but when we ask the attendant he said it's not yet available or ready.

Review 110:We like the bed very comfortable. The wi-fi connection was good.

Review 111:Only one comment and that was the smell of urine as left in a morning upthe rear outside stairs onto the village walk. This I know is probablenot under your authority.

Review 112:Location, staff, suite was ideal for a couple with a friend.

Review 113:For a first-time visitor to Whistler it was a little difficult to find the entrance to the hotel.

Review 114:My wife and I particularly liked how friendly and helpful the staff were. Our room was comfortable and clean but it was the staff that made our choice of this hotel worthwhile.

Review 115:Can't think of anything.

Review 116:Access to other major hotels. Good price booked in advance. Access to the village stroll. Parking at reasonable price. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

Review 117:Air con and fridge were a bit noisy.

Review 118:Huge room, huge bed, plus kitchenette with fridge made this an ideal place to stay in Whistler. Very clean and comfortable.

Review 119:There is nothing to dislike at this hotel.

Review 120:Excellent location. Staff is very friendly making you feel like home. Hotel is very clean and rooms are so inviting. Location is great close to restaurants, shops and vibrant stroll life. It is at 2 min. walking distance from the Whistler gondola. We always return with the same pleasure to Crystal Lodge.

Review 121:With it being central to everything there was some residual noise from the outside but nothing too terrible. The fire alarm did go off on our last day but thankfully it was at 9 a.m.

Review 122:Location was excellent and central to everything. Parking is free if you drive a hybrid which I thought was very fair. Overall, an excellent hotel with large rooms.

Review 123:I liked getting a 10% discount for the Scandinave Spa. I liked the fact that you just had to exit by the back of the hotel and you were right on the Village Stroll

Review 124:The hot tub wasn't very hot. It sounds silly, but we were looking forward to it, and it was disappointing.

Review 125:The staff were amazing! Everyone I dealt with was friendly, and eager to help. It was the little things that really made the trip amazing.

Review 126:The air conditioner was shaking the entire room and did both nights, and could not move us. The room was vibrating the entire time. I took my wife for our 20th anniversary. They gave us a discount, but it was completely unsleepable.

Review 127:Staff, location and suite

Review 128:The room is not well insulated, noisy on the hallway. The parking lot was poorly designed. Require a super skillful driver to get in snd out of the very tiny spots.

Review 129:The location and its easy accessibility to the main attractions in the complex

Review 130:Can get quite noisy in the evening. But you have to expect that, when you book a hotel in the middle of the village in Whistler.

Review 131:In the middle of the village and close to the gondola and various restaurants and shops. Very clean. Comfortable bed.

Review 132:We were in an older unit so it was in need of updating. Old, tired bathroom but it was clean.

Review 133:Location is superb being central in the village. No need to drive anywhere so it means, nice evenings out for dinner without drinking and driving. Grocery store really close by as well. I used the gym every morning and liked that they had bottled water and towels free of charge. Parking was handy, although a little pricey.
