Review 1：Good quality, clean, modern facilities in a nicely renovated old building - exactly like the photos promised! Breakfast is good and worth paying the extra 9CHF for.

Review 14：The staffs are so nice. The first floor is a coffee shop which they own this hotel. Location is wonderful. But need to careful on paying the fee on parking every 2 hours if you drink a car (Between 8:00 am to 10:00 pm) The view of the lake is also good.
Review 15：I had booked with them directly for a couple of nights and decided I needed one more, but they never emailed me back. Communication was very poor. So I went on trusty booking.com and booked the extra night. Even so, I wrote more emails letting them know so that my bookings could be linked and I'd have the same room throughout. Well, that obviously didn't happen and I can say that my booking.com room was the better one and less expensive than the one I had going directl. I got the lowest level right on the alley with construction going on, ugh. I know they can't help what there neighbours are doing and the location is worth the trade off with the noise. The other problem I have with the establishment is that there were faults with the room that they were making no effort to replace or repair.
Review 16：The location and value for money are the best parts of Le Charlot. The rooms are simple and clean but lacking in amenities that we presumed would be provided like a second bedside table and glasses of some sort in the room and bar soap. They give you little bottles of an all in one body wash and shampoo and you have to use those for your hands as well. This is a guesthouse and not a hotel, so adjust your expectations. It offers none of the Swiss hospitality that Switzerland is famous for. It is basically reasonably priced rooms over a sandwich shop in a great location.
Review 17：We would suggest, soap and a place to put our toiletry items in the bathroom. Air con. is a must during the summer!! We, as guests who booked early, would have appreciated being notified of the car rally and the music concert prior to our arrival. We feel that in view of potential parking difficulties and the noise level of a concert,that this would be the very least that the owner of the establishment could do with the comfort of guests in mind. Also it would have been less stressful if one had had information about the arrival arrangements i.e. The sandwich shop, which was packed with hungry patrons!
Review 18：One is welcomed to this Guesthouse by the staff in a sandwich shop located on the ground floor. Our welcome by delightful Kenza (I hope that my spelling of the name is correct), was warm and friendly. Kenza helped us climb the flights of stairs with our bags. We found that although the building faced the square that the entrance was at the rear in a small street. The room was tastefully furnished and comfortable. We appreciated the tea making facilities very much. Upon arrival we faced an enormous crowd in the square. There was a vintage car rally in progress. Parking could have been a nightmare, however a wonderful young man from the rally gave us a special paper to display in our car. This solved all parking problems. Then we found that during the night that there would be a music concert, which did take place with very loud music that seemed never to end! Without the car rally and the boom-boom concert, this place would be a pleasant place to stay, especially if one has a room with a lake view. Room 300!

Review 29：Good location near the lake. It was so hot that day and we were able to go for a swim nearby. Friendly staff, who let us store our bikes in the basement overnight. Nice big shower and modern bathroom. Overlooking a quiet garden. Good restaurant nearby.

Review 33：It is not a hotel of 3 stars. The reception and check in place is only at the sandwich shop. The staff will then lead you to the room. No lift is provided and it may not suitable for those who bring heavy luggages. My room has lake view but it is also noisy as there are restaurants and car park on the ground floor.

Review 49：Wanted to pay in advance, sent more than 10 emails and got no answer. Fourth floor no elevator. No wardrobe to put chothes in. No curtains in lower bedroom floor. Few TV channels, you have to compete with cafe costumers to talk to someone. Low ceilings. Banged my head too many times to count.

Review 58：There was no hairdryer, no shades on the windows (would have been nice to keep out the sun), and no soap (other than dish lotion in the kitchen). Also it was 53 steps to the apartment (no elevator). It was a little awkward having to go down stairs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. None of these were show stoppers for us, and we loved staying there. The lack of hair dryer was the only thing that annoyed me.
Review 59：We stayed in the apartment on the top floor. It was spotless and spacious with two floors and a small balcony. The bedroom was in a loft upstairs, and you could not stand up in half of it due to the slanted ceilings, but it was kind of cool. Downstairs was a large living room with sleeper sofa, a small but well equipped kitchen (except for the refrigerator which would not stay shut without putting a box in front of it), and nice bathroom with washer. The balcony looked out over a charming courtyard. The other side of the living room had views of the lake, but you had to stand in front of them to see it as they were dormer windows.

Of course, we did not wait around but spent our own money on Chillon entrance as well as the transport. Wish they had given us the cards for that day early, We paid extra --the highest for their lake view room. We got a room that had windows opening directly on to their outdoor seating area of the restaurant--always crowded. We could not open the curtains as people could directly look in to our room---almost eyelevel. At night there was a bright light there. So we had to keep the curtain closed to ensure some privacy--the so called lake view made no sense as lake could be seen only at an angle if you stood by the side of the open windows--not an option.

Very helpful to have the guest card included with the room that provides free transport from Vevey to Villanueve and other discounts in the area like entrance to Chillon Castle.
