Reviews for Nita Lake Lodge

Review 1:Value for the money for the restaurant food is not really where it should be. Also service in the restaurant.. we were brought both appetizer and main course at the same time.

Review 2:Spacious room with fireplace and a very nice bathroom Very nice location on the lake although we visited during winter so we did not really take advantage of this Very cosy hotel, all the areas are created to make guests feel at home. It gives you the feel of a luxury chalet in the mountains. Staff very friendly and responsive to all requests

Review 3:The bar area at Christmas Eve played incredibly bad music / not Christmas music. Also, one afternoon for at least 15 minutes the TV was playing a video of baby seals being bludgeoned to death and wales being killed, extremely graffic and upsetting. I had to ask the staff to turn the TV off. For that reason, we will not be returning to Nita

Review 4:The staff were very friendly and helpful, yet not very observant, refer the next comment

Review 5:Service was excellent. The front desk staff and the bellhop were very courteous and kind. We liked the basement parking which was convenient to get to our room which had a great view of the lake and adequate heating for the winter weather.

Review 6:The shuttle - at this time of year (busiest week of the year as we kept being told by everyone incl your staff) either a larger bus or extra shuttles should be provided so no one is waiting over an hour as we did as the shuttle was full and so didn't even call in at the main gondola.. Lockers or a large room for storing ski equipment would be nice on site.. as would a 'drying room' for wet jackets / boots etc..

Review 7:Luxurious rooms and facilities Fabulous location Friendly staff The kids loved the spa!

Review 8:Parking charge of $20USD was a bit of a bummer given the ample parking available.

Review 9:Staff was fantastic and everyone was very welcoming. Ideally located about a 5 minute walk to the Creekside gondola/village. Food and beverage offerings on property were very good and the room was spacious and comfortable.

Review 10:I purchased a one bedroom suite - yet no door separating sitting area from bedroom. Not great when have young children staying in sitting area (hide-a-bed). Also, kitchen area sparse at best and not user friendly. expensive for square footage and compared with other places in Whistler

Review 11:Nice hotel in terms of common areas

Review 12:There were no hooks above the fireplace to hang wet clothing from a day on the mountain. The shower took a long time to warm up.

Review 13:The staff was friendly. One guy helped me carry stuff to my room when I arrived and the also let me park my truck and snowmobile out front for the duration of my stay. The room was super badass! I liked the stone in the bathroom. And I fell in love with the barista at the fix.

Review 14:Loved everything although I wished our room is overlooking the lake.

Review 15:I love that the property is near a lake and that there's a hiking trail around it. Loved that there's a shuttle that takes you to the village.

Review 16:Nothing! I rarely give a 10/10 to something but in this case, Nita really stood out in every single way possible!.. We are already planning to go back there some time next year

Review 17:1-the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We've been to hundreds of hotels globally and by far the friendliest staff we ever came across!!! ( in particularly Che, she took care of us all the time! ) 2- location is brilliant, just 3.6km from the village and if you didn't even want to go that far, You can simply walk up to creek side to get all your day to day needs! 3- the lodge is really well maintained. 4-the the food in general is really good, especially the breakfast - absolutely superb!

Review 18:Pleasantly surprised to find that we could rent equipment, pick up lift tickets and load into a gondola to go up Whistler Mountain at the nearby Creekside Base, a short walk or free shuttle ride away. Very comfy room. A wet weekend, so we really enjoyed the gas fireplace.

Review 19:they charge your credit card 2 days before check in for the full amount. I didn't want to pay by credit card and 2 days before is too much time before hand to charge the full amount. Only a deposit should be taken to secure the room

Review 20:Free amenities,bikes,canoes/kayaks. Rooms are very cozy and modern, bed is unbelievably comfortable and I love the mini kitchenette and heated floors

Review 21:The change rooms at the spa were tiny and missing some amenities (moisturizing cream, plastic bags for swimsuit etc)

Review 22:One bedroom suite was spacious and immaculate. We like the 10% off VIP card for locals

Review 23:The restaurant/bar in the lobby didn't have very good service and the food and drinks weren't very impressive.

Review 24:The room we had was very cozy and quite. The soker tub was amazing.

Review 25:If there was any complaint it would be the TV channel selection was below par. But we rarely used it so didn't really impact our experience.

Review 26:The room was incredible. Very clean, great atmosphere, relaxing. The restaurant had great service and phenomenal food.

Review 27:Picked this hotel because it was supposed to be quiet and peaceful. Had a guest next door to us that partied until 3am Bed was very uncomfortable, sagged in middle Hot tub not warm enough

Review 28:Nice guest room Upgraded to lake side room Friendly staff

Review 29:Found the room noisy, next door to a room with young children ( passage door between rooms), had never stayed in a studio definitely prefer the one bedroom. Real disappointment with this trip was the veuve gala, over priced and disappointed with value for money in comparison to other cornucopia events and meant we couldn't dine in our favorite lounge. Drinks at the gala were not up to Nita standards

Review 30:I love the staff here, always friendly. Accommodation location is lovely

Review 31:No plugs in bathroom and no mirrors in other room for doing your hair!

Review 32:View, lots of space, especially counter space and drawers in bathroom! Fireplace was lovely since it was raining so hard!

Review 33:The only thing I could say was the bed was a just tad too hard.

Review 34:Everything. Great location. Beautiful rooms, wonderful staff, the roof top hot tub was heavenly

Review 35:Only thing that was a small negative was that the service at breakfast was deplorable. Otherwise everything was amazing!

Review 36:The staff was really great and very accommodating. Probably the most pet friendly hotel we've stayed at in ages, she was even allowed near the pool with us! The hotel was simply stunning.

Review 37:Nita Lodge is a gorgeous hotel in a beautiful setting on Nita Lake,Whistler. We were able to walk directly from the Lodge to hike/bike the trails to Whistler Village. We had a studio with lake view on the third floor. Enjoyed the hot tub on second floor with view of the mountains and moon rising. Awesome! The staff are friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

Review 38:The only negative comment I would make is regarding your cafe. We ordered food and they forgot about our order. Had to go and remind them. Staff did not seem well organized.

Review 39:Our room was very comfortable and clean. We ate all of our meals at the lodge and other than going for a stroll through Whistler Village did all activities at the lodge.

Review 40:N/A . your joking right ?

Review 41:We love the spa , roof top hotubs , shuttles , scarface tub n suite , veiw from bathroom to king bed to patio to lake all in 1 veiw. Cowboy Glen is a social professional fun person .Nice to c familiar people when we come back each year. Very nice cheese plate upon arrival .Just too much good to say .& I hear Nita Lake was #1 Canada wide voted best !

Review 42:This was a beautiful situated lodge beside a lake. I stayed in one of the suites for two nights and they were extremely well equipped with some self catering facilities. The suite was beautifully adorned and the whole lodge has a wonderful character. The stay included complimentary activities including use of a bike which I took advantage off to explore the local area. beau. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Well worth considering again.

Review 43:Indoor pool would have been nice with a toddler in Oct.

Review 44:The one bedroom suite was very nicely furnished, decor was beautiful and the bonus kitchenette and coffee press was very well received.

Review 45:Bikes and Boat for free use; Perfekt rooms with fireplace; Very nice atmosphere in the hotel; free shuttle service that connects you to the village while you can live in the calm area at the lake

Review 46:Nothing.

Review 47:Big, modern, comfortable rooms. Bathroom floors heated. Free shuttle bus to town centre which is 5 minutes away. Great lake views - worth paying a bit more for lake view. Free bikes in good conditions. Friendly staff.

Review 48:All the pictures on booking gave us the impression that we would have a balcony but our room did not have a balcony and the only way to get this was to upgrade for a lot or money. There is a road between the hotel and the lake which I did not see on the pictures and we didn't like the view of the dog poo next to this road under our window.

Review 49:The room was lovely and big. The bathroom was beautiful and we loved the big tub.

Review 50:Not bad experience, but we think the restaurant meals could have been as little more interesting. The bar restaurant was better than the formal dining area.

Review 51:Brilliant location on the lake, away from the town. Cosy fireplace in the room was great, staff were great and the shuttle service And driver were exceptional.

Review 52:A very large room with large seating area. Free hire of bikes. A wonderful meal in the restaurant, steak to die for cooked to perfection, although a little pricey.

Review 53:It wasn't your typical rip off whistler resort. The private shuttle to and from the resort was perfect. Kept the resort quiet when back at the hotel by not being in the village. There was lots to do on Nita lake too.

Review 54:Everything, great location, facilities, staff, parking, restaurants a most pleasant and unique experience. A great conclusion to our 4 week tour of Canada and Alaska

Review 55:The only thing I could request is a less expensive breakfast option than the restaurant - something besides coffee for free?

Review 56:The service and facilities and shuttle were wonderful.

Review 57:The bed was adequate but we are not fans of pillow top mattresses.

Review 58:The setting of the hotel and room were superb and loved the heated floor in the bathroom. We would definitely stay here in the future.

Review 59:Was not impressed with restaurant food. Expensive meal, We added side mixed greens and it was just slimy spinach mush, so gross we couldn't eat it. Nothing mixed greens about it. Very dissapointing!

Review 60:The room was lovely, Amazing bathroom.

Review 61:expensive parking with no alternatives

Review 62:The place was fabulous, both in terms of location and facilities. Many extras included (shuttle service to town, bike rental, outdoor hot tub, canoe rental etc.), and the room was simply fantastic with one of the best beds we've ever slept in. The fireplace was a nice touch as well, and we will for sure be back some time in the winter and/or summer.

Review 63:Only strange thing - in a 2 bedroom suite only one room had a door, interesting design

Review 64:Perfect location and quality hotel. Dining options in hotel. The shuttle to Whistler village is excellent. Laundry room so useful. Hope to return

Review 65:There was nothing negative about this place.

Review 66:The location is perfect, close to all the best restaurants. Free shuttle to village. Lovely and relaxing place to go.

Review 67:The fact that we could never use the canoes, they were always taken That we didnt have a balcony and non jetted tub in bathroom

Review 68:free mountain bikes to use friendliness of staff cleanliness facilities location

Review 69:Not a dislike, but we are tall and the bed was low to the floor.

Review 70:Everything. All the food was fantastic. We used the bikes and the hot tub, the bike/walk path directly in front of the property is great.

Review 71:nothing. Everything seems so right.

Review 72:The lake view room is breathtaking. The rent-free canoe and bicycles are wonderful . Kids love the experience of hiking around the lake and canoeing on the quiet lake. The hot tubs in the second floor also are great. The service is great too.

Review 73:That we picked a weekend this summer that rained and were not able to use the outdoor amenities provided.

Review 74:Was veery impressed with the room and staff. Was pleasantly surprised that the bar carried my favorite rum most places don't. Very good value for the money.

Review 75:The staff was very friendly and helpful! The shuttle service was fast and convenient The staff in particular at the cure bar lounge The plunge pool and hot tubs The complimentary bikes, canoes and kayaks Overall it exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend this lodge to others!

Review 76:The false promise of early check in at 2:30pm but did not happen until 4pm, it frustrated the planning for the day. The pool was dirty, should've been better maintained

Review 77:The size of the room, complimentary bikes and kayaks, exquisite bathroom and the spa facilities and treatments. The spa at Nita lake is too on my list for whistler.

Review 78:Nothing

Review 79:We booked one bed-room suites, they upgraded it to a two bed-room suites, the kids like it very much! The guest room is big and the bath room is big. The also offered free canoe and bicycle. The staffers is very sweet and nice.

Review 80:They need to work on communication and prioritizing of hotel guests vs. outside guests (wedding attendees) and the availability of the hotel shuttle at night. Otherwise, the free shuttle is a great service.

Review 81:The setting of the lodge is unsurpassed - one of the most beautiful, serene spots in Whistler, away from the village and tourists. We also loved the availability of free kayaks, canoes, and SUP's to explore the small lake, and free bikes to circle the bike path. Food is on the expensive side, but very good and has a homemade non-resort quality. Despite a wedding going on in the main restaurant until late Sunday evening, our room on the first floor was on a hallway with a soundproof door which we think was a very thoughtful touch. The room was beautiful, peaceful, and very nicely appointed. This is a must-book!

Review 82:We didnt like the extra charges for parking.., and thought the pet rate per night was high.

Review 83:We liked the location ..., and thought the Lodge was in a beautiful setting. Very pet friendly place.

Review 84:These rooms are overpriced for the summer season. The "mountain view" is parking lot view. The host who checked us in was not very helpful or friendly. Breakfast was not included. They advise you not to park on the street, since you'll get towed, but we had no problem whatsoever.

Review 85:Fireplace. Liked the outdoor café seating.

Review 86:Relaxing from the moment we walked through the front door. The front desk was efficient and and friendly. The room was large, clean, quiet, and comfortable. A high end hotel that never felt pretentious .

Review 87:The unwelcome reception when using the gym. The facility is shared with personal trainers with clients and it was hard to navigate around the space when their sessions were in progress.

Review 88:Absolutely everything! Amazing staff, superb location, excellent amenities!

Review 89:Nita Lodge is located at a quiet area of Whistler. The free shuttle bus works quick and reliable, so you can reach the busy part of Whistler in a few minutes, without moving your car. Our two bedroom Suite was spacious an had a wonderful lakeview. Bikes and kajaks are complementary and uncomplicated to lend. Friendly staff.

Review 90:there were two beetles one in the washroom and one in the bedroom, i got a stiff neck from the pillows and bed was squeaky. Trail was not as big as i thought it was

Review 91:breakfast in the aurora was wonderful, the hot tub on the rooftop was amazing and there was a nice trail outside on the lake.

Review 92:Great lakeside location close to Creekside and amenities (free bikes, SUPs, kayaks, trails, onsite coffee shop, yoga studio and gym). Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Review 93:I thought the parking was quite expensive and there isn't really an option.

Review 94:The room was amazing. Very big and high ceilings, bathroom was lovely. Staff very helpful and welcoming.

Review 95:Beautiful location and accommodations. Away from the tourist traffic but complimentary shuttle to Whistler Villiage was great. Staff very friendly and food was excellent.

Review 96:Having to pay to park the car.

Review 97:This place had lots to do but unfortunately we only stayed one night and did not have the opportunity to try everything. We walked to Whistler village via the signposted pathway which was lovely even if quite far (around 5km). However, there is a free shuttle bus if you prefer to take that.

Review 98:The pool was a bit dirty and the water coming out from the shower head was a bit slow.

Review 99:Staffs were super helpful and friendly. Lots of facilities, wish I could stay longer. We will definitely come back next year.

Review 100:The check-in was the most horrible check-in I've ever experienced at any hotel. I'm pretty sure it lasted over half an hour (I didn't wait in a queue). I can only describe the front desk staff as incompetent. It really soured the rest of the day for me. I booked with the app and didn't realise that parking was a mandatory extra $20/day with no alternative. The hotel even claims that "overnight public parking is not permitted in Whistler". $20/day is not reasonable for parking. The restaurant closes at 9:30 and there isn't much else around, so if you arrive later in the evening and the check-in takes longer than normal, you may be out of luck. The shuttle to the centre of town also stops at 10:30. The TV was very dim and kept flickering. The remote would only turn it on/off, change the channel and volume; the rest of the buttons did nothing.

Review 101:The room itself was very nice. Generous size, excellent bathroom with a good sized tub and separate shower. Good quality toiletries, comfortable bed. The gas fireplace, heated bathroom floor and quiet heating/cooling of the room were appreciated.

Review 102:Nothing !

Review 103:Location Premium yet casual and modern hotel with Mountain charm Inclusive mountain bikes and canoes Staff Size and facilities in the room

Review 104:We liked it all!

Review 105:We only stayed one night but really enjoyed it. The lodge is a few miles outside of town on a beautiful small lake. Walking paths connect the lodge to town however. We had a lake view one bedroom which was lovely. The bathroom was amazing. Everything was top quality. Also the staff were all wonderful.

Review 106:Hospitality , Excellent Food, Good Facilities Excellent Staff So helpfull. What more does one need. We have wonderfull memories of Nita Lodge.

Review 107:Only suggestion would be the bar needs to stay open a bit later but there is a pub next door.

Review 108:I love the layout of the two bedroom suite and that all the activities were included in the price. Also love the White Dog Art Gallery and the lakefront restaurant.

Review 109:Stayed two days at the end of a three week trip. We loved every minute (except we happened to be there during fires, so smoke impeded things we wanted to do.

Review 110:Large studio rooms with full lounge and fireplace. Balcony with view. Self catering kitchenette in room. Staff friendly and helpful. Bathroom decadent. Quiet and peaceful rooms. Location amazing and free shuttle to town.

Review 111:Had trouble connecting to wifi a few times.

Review 112:I had a very relaxing time! Very quiet and peaceful. Energetic and helpful staff. Delicious food! Spa is incredible!

Review 113:Great suite, friendly staff who made excellent suggestions and gave their time to us. Excellent inclusive so: shuttle bus, canoes, etc. Food was delicious.

Review 114:no room available facing the lake, had to pay to park, no gift shop, difficulty with the sliding door to the patio, needed instructions, would have liked different choice for for breakfast my second day

Review 115:the quality of the facility, decor in rooms, kitchenette with sink, french press, location on the lake, walking trail, the restaurant, enjoyed the scallops and wine, (rose), helpful, polite staff

Review 116:The hot tub wasn't hot enough.

Review 117:The room was awesome. Loved the balcony. Waterview would have been fantastic but it was sold out. Free bikes was a nice touch. Easy shuttle service to the village. Drivers were very helpful.

Review 118:The view of the lake was spectacular. The lodge was wonderful with great amenities and comfortable, luxurious rooms. The best thing was the staff. They were gracious, friendly and very helpful

Review 119:$20 per night for the parking is a bit steep given you're in the middle of the mountains. Service at breakfast was slow.

Review 120:Friendly staff, great room with gas fireplace, super spacious bathroom, great location, delicious breakfast (try the pancakes)

Review 121:No room service, we had to bring food from the restaurant ourselves. With a two year old, it's would have helped to have room service.

Review 122:Amazing! We are making this our family vacation spot! Away from the town centre, it's a more quite location. We liked that. They do offer free shuttle service to the town.

Review 123:From the beautiful distressed leather sofa with soft velvet upholstered cushions to the enormous spa-like bath, we were surrounded in luxury and comfort. Nita Lake Lodge made it really hard to leave the premises and go do anything else beside sit on our private porch and gaze at the lake while sipping our favorite adult beverage. This was the perfect extension following our Alaskan cruise. Beautiful, peaceful location; outstanding service; delicious food and drink; a space we didn't want to leave.

Review 124:Wish the master bedroom had a proper door as the sun comes in at 5am but other than that this place was perfect.

Review 125:Absolutely, a beautiful setting with the best staff. Super convenient to everything without being in the craziness of The Village. Facilities are super clean and the Aura restaurant is fantastic. Best pork chops around.

Review 126:Most of restaurant staff were very professional and the food was excellent. Two other staff needed to watch their language and take personal conversations out of the hearing of clients.

Review 127:The setting was just beautiful, room very well done and the hotel staff were so welcoming and helpful.

Review 128:The staff were amazing, with great attention to detail (like the card and complimentary champagne in our room on arrival, to celebrate our anniversary!). The room and lodge were lovely and the amenities such as complimentary bicycles, canoes and the shuttle into town were much appreciated. We did not need use our car once over the whole long weekend!

Review 129:The cleaning service didn't get to our room until 2pm at which point we were wanting to be in our room. Not a huge deal, we just asked for a few replacement items. The hotel was done in 2008, and while that isn't that old, you can start to see wear and tear in areas.

Review 130:We were given an incredible room near the spa, very private, overlooking the creek. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Great location on the lake and surrounded by trails. An easy 5 minute walk to a few shops and restaurants.

The Fine Print
