Review 96：The staff did their best to help me navigate the transportation system, but were not at all knowledgeable about outdoor activities such as hiking in the region. I found this surprising given the location, but I suppose I should have come better prepared!

Review 97：Very noisy environment. Our room was on the top floor down the corridor from the communal area and kitchen and I was woken up by someone cooking at 4am. Our room also looked out onto the market place. It was hot and there is no air-con or fan so we had to leave the windows open. Monday morning saw the dismantling of fairground rides, Tuesday the setting up of the market and on all days, workman in a nearby building starting at around 6am. Switzerland is an expensive place and I felt that as a result of the above, the guest house is far too expensive for what is offered.

Review 101：The receptionist is cold. I was arrived there before 12. The woman told me that the room was not clean and could not check in even if just put luggage in. She told me that I could lock them in the train station.Another thing, I am a Chinese and when I paid in cash and signed the receipt, she said that was not my signature. So ridiculous. Can a foreigner figure out the Chinese characters?

Review 102：Location is perfect. It is quite near the lake and the train station. The room is clean and bed is comfortable. Bathroom and shower are good.

Review 103：We spent the night in Vevey the night before heading into the Alpes. It is a lovely town on Lake Geneva and this hotel is a few minutes walk from the trains station and even closer to one of the two docks where it is possible to catch a lake excursion. We had a double room with shared toilet and shower and never had to wait to use either. The internet signal is strong, beds comfortable, towels thick and large, shared kitchen very clean and in good order and there was room in the refrigerator for our groceries. I think the staff does a good job of keeping everything in order and we were met by a friendly person at the reception. Our view of Lake Geneva, the mountains and the town was wonderful. I would definitely return.

Review 104：It's a youth hostel, which was not disclosed, so we had teen-ageboys running up and down the halls making lots of noise. It wasadvertised as a shared bath and shower, but we didn't expect toshare them with 35-40 kids. The staff was friendly and helpful whenthere, but left in early evening. The breakfast was do-it yourself andthey actually asked us to wash our own dishes for 10 Euros! I would notrecommend this to anyone except a teen group.

Review 105：It is located on the main square, but there is no lake-front view asadvertised, because there are 2 large buildings between it and the lake.

Review 106：The hotel does not have air conditioning unit which is fine but the hotel should offer an electric fan to guests if requested. We were having allergy and would like to close the windows but it's getting very hot and unpleasant in the room.

Review 113：This isn't exactly a dislike, just a heads up that the reception desk closes at 20:00 (8:00pm) and doesn't reopen until later in the morning. We needed to leave before the desk was manned and just left our keys. Fortunately we had squared away our finances the previous night.

Review 114：The Vevey Guesthouse & Hotel is a combination hostel/hotel. The WCs & separate showers are very basic. Rooms are spacious and clean and beds are very comfortable. It is located just a few blocks from the train station and is one block from the lakeside, affording beautiful views across the square. Karin is very friendly and most helpful with your travel plans. The hotel was full of travelers from all nations, an interesting eclectic mix, and all were so courteous of others. But note this is a very basic hotel.
