Reviews for Penzion Sedlec
Review 1:Smelly place and very scratchy old bed linen. Dirty floors, tiny towels, nothing larger than a hand towel and a handheld shower with no where to hook it up. We were trapped into our parking spot by other cars in the morning. No English spoken at all.
Review 2:It's a shabby dirty place, we found bed bugs in the bed, the kettle so destroyed and filthy I was disgusted to use it. Price definitely too high, we decided to leave the place.
Review 3:Nothing really....
Review 4:The kindness of staff and the breakfast in the room!!!! An added bonus is the miniature train station in the garden, even if we got up too late to try it out...
Review 5:During the night it's a little bit noisy because of the closedness to the train station; Also it is a little bit too far to the center of the town.
Review 6:Cheap; Very close to the train station; Friendly staffs;
Review 7:It's far from the city center. I had assumed that being so near the main railway station, it would be closer to attractions.
Review 8:The owner is a super nice guy. Speaks decent English. He gave me a ride into town.
Review 9:The smell in the hotel, the room, the toilet. Everything was really old and scary, like in the comunism period.
Review 10:We were tired and we just wanted to sleep somewhere and all the other hotels were busy. It was close to Prague.
Review 11:It's not like the usual places I'd been to in Czech. Penzion has a personal touch with friendly staff and the look of a home, with fully equipped kitchen and a dining room. The location is a big PLUS as it's a stones throwaway from the train station. This place also has good floor heating which made our winter stay very comfortable.
Review 12:-maybe a little bit old school : plastic floor, bed a bit old....
Review 13:- good value - Just on the front of the train station if you arrive from Prague and at 10mn walk from the ossuary - very friendly old woman at the reception even if she didn't speak English at all. - room and bathroom recently renewed and very clean -internet in the room -heating : it was around 27 in the room when it was -3 outside !!! -fridge and kettle in the room
Review 14:The staff can get wrong messages and think they are booked up when a few hours later they realized they had available rooms.
Review 15:It doesn't get much cheaper in the Czech Republic and this place was perfectly fine with excellent WIFI. My room had its own bathroom and fridge. Laundry was done for a very affordable price. If you want whistles & bells go elsewhere. But if basic, clean lodging is what you want, stay here. It's right in front of the train station where you can go to Prague for the day. There's a bus that will take you into town.
Review 16:They don't speak English, but nevertheless, they were able to provide good accommodation.
Review 17:Never imagined it would be that close to the station. Wi-fi connection is excellent
Review 18:The woman who receive us does not speak english. Was a little hard to make check-in, but after all she was very lovely and patient with us. So, not exactly a bad thing.
Review 19:Location, next to the train station. Not the newest building in town, but I felt good there. Very cheap. Wi-fi connection.
Review 20:the building and rooms smelled smoky (the is the reason I would not recommend this hotel. But if you don't mind that, then it was ok. very old building and facilities.
Review 21:50 steps away from the kutna hora train station. mini fridge and kettle in the room
Review 22:Need to walk a long way to the center, facilities are poor, no AC and not so clear
Review 23:The hostel is located at just outside of the railway station, at most 50 meters. Very cheap price, very nice receptionist
Review 24:Smoking room
Review 25:Next to trainstation Good breakfast Friendly staff Hassle free check-in/-out
Review 26:confort in rooms, not good for high weathers
Review 27:Wonderfull small train animated by the owner is a real plus maily for children
Review 28:The owner forgot my booking and arranged a dirty room with no bathroom inside
Review 29:Position
Review 30:nothing
Review 31:love the owner, feels like grandpa, great location, within 50m from the exit of the railway station
Review 32:Kitchen is not well maintained.
Review 33:Convenient location.
Review 34:The only thing that we did not like was cleanliness. The sheets were clean, but the floor and shelves were dusty..
Review 35:It's a great choice if you're travelling by car or train and you just need a place to sleep in this very expensive area. The room is fully equiped, with kettle and fridge, the bathrooms are new, the water is hot, they were chenging windows while we were there. The owner is a very nice gentleman.
Review 36:The furnitures and towels are very old. The kitchen cutlery needed better cleaning. But if you take all you need with you, you will have no problem :-)
Review 37:Staff was very helpful and all the time smiling. The great thing is a small model of train in the garden. It works! Our children loved it! You can find some nice sundials on the walls og the Penzion. It is right at the train station what makes travelling by train easier.
Review 38:The hostel is basic but clean and the staff were very helpful. It was as I expected at the price and I would have no hesitation staying there again or reccommending it to nyone else. If you want five star then head somewhere else!
Review 39:Perfectly situated in the old enginemen's hostel by the main railway station in a quiet location. Direct trains and buses take you straight into town and back (approx 2km). There's plenty of parking outside. Prague is one hour away by train which is still very cheap
Review 40:Great staff and place at the edge of town and at the end of the road the train station is on. A very quiet and restful place. A refrigerator, an electric hot water kettle, a bathroom with shower, and plenty of wardrobe & shelf space, with a nice view whether you are on the garden (yard) side or train station side (front or back) of the hotel. There's plenty of parking in front, across the street, or at the side closer to the train station. There is an elevator in this three floor hotel. The administrator is a hands-on guy and knew a mechanic to take a cut radiator hose to for repair. The location ( near route # 2 & 38 intersection 41 kilometers west of Pardubice) is central to any area of Czech. Republic which could be made and be able to return in the same day.
Review 41:nothing.
Review 42:people here are so warm, and very helpful. The hotel is quite near to the railway station and the bone church as well. I like it. Strong recommended.
Review 43:It is just next to the railway, so you can hear the trains passing through, but not too bad, because there are not many trains!
Review 44:It's just next to the train station. It takes 10 minutes by bus to the old town, or just walk half an hour. With this price really can't expect too much. It's clean and nice staff even they don't speak English.
Review 45:The owner was very friendly and gave my children a ride on his large-scale train set in the back yard of the pension. The facilities were modest and dated, but clean.
Review 46:trains very loud just outside the window, other people staying there looked scary, receptionist didnt speak english
Review 47:close to Sedlec Ossuary, round the corner from main train station
Review 48:I specifically asked for a double bed and instead I got a twin roomand later on the receptionist came and put the beds together. I thinkthey should tell you about this in advance, because it is not thesame to sleep on two beds as on one bed with a single mattress. Thehotel is also far from the city, but it is right across the streetfrom the station.
Review 49:It was pretty clean and quiet, I slept well and the staff was nice.
Review 50:A long walk to the center of town. Wrong station listed online. Is atthe main station. No English.
Review 51:Cheepest place we could find. Right next to train station.Friendly staff
Review 52:Not a big deal but it's of a walk from the town. Very uncomfortable beds.
Review 53:Convenient location next to station and staff very helpful, despite difficulties communicating. Had wifi in rooms, fridge and a kettle. Basic but good enough for what you pay.
Review 54:Two door bells which only one of them works Don't expect staff to speak English (at least mine didnt) But they are still willing to help
Review 55:right beside the train station Kunta Hora spacious kitchen (without a lot of tools, i cant find a knife there)
Review 56:Noisy at night (it IS next to train station) Beds are hard
Review 57:Easy to access location (walk everywhere) Miniature train in garden Good price
Review 58:I didn't like that there is no 24/7 reception
Review 59:price comfort ratio is very good
Review 60:It stinks of smoke
Review 61:It was near the train station
