Reviews for Fairmont Pacific Rim

Review 1:The rain head shower kept dripping sporadically throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep.

Review 2:Easy check in and check out. Very comfortable bed and very clean. Housekeeping came by twice daily to tidy things up. Breakfast buffet at Oru was amazing as always. Loved the atmosphere at Giovane cafe.

Review 3:Nothing was too much trouble for the Fairmont people, everything I asked for was met with "no problem". Food was also excellent. I can highly recommended this property.

Review 4:We travelled with our 5 month old and they supplied a baby robe and bath tub for us! The crib was small enough to fit in the bathroom so that we could stay up later than the babe.

Review 5:I loved the room and especially the bed and linens. The room was very modern with iPad controls which I really liked but the bed,it was the bed that I really loved . And above all ,above everything else is the amazing staff.

Review 6:This hotel was very luxurious and the service was incredible. The staff made us feel at home and welcome. The suite we had was over the top gorgeous and we had the time of our lives!

Review 7:Nothing was missing, everything was peach perfect

Review 8:The staff were perfectly polite, the food was really nice, the cleanliness was perfect and the view was breath taking

Review 9:nothing

Review 10:This is a luxury hotel on the waterfront in Vancouver - so handy for conferences at the VCC across the road and within walking distance of the shops

Review 11:Nothing, can't fault it.

Review 12:Very central to everything, staff best I have come across on all my travels. Hotel is amazing, the food, standards. Best Fairmont I have stayed in to date.

Review 13:The restaurant could have been better but there are many nearby so not an issue

Review 14:The staff were out of this world - customer service beyond belief. Possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Great location.

Review 15:Attracts a weekend crowd of "bridge and tunnel" locals that go there to be seen, seem awkward company and hint at a tourist trap. Especially around the rooftop pool where selfie-sticks seem to be as common as the suntan lotion. The pool area didn't seem to have full sun. Nikki Beach in Fairmont Monaco has this place in its shadow (pun intended).

Review 16:Great hotel located in the heart of the city. Club floor includes the nicest breakfast I've ever been offered with views to match. Club also included the best room design Fairmont property I've stayed in. Including their hotel in Monaco, The Banff Springs, Victoria Empress and the Savoy in London. Definitely much more youthful and modern but also offers elegance and refinement not found in many other Vancouver hotels. I lived in Vancouver for 6 years in the early noughties. Great place to stay for the young and affluent. Reminded me of Hotel SLS Beverly Hills with its buzzing lobby and pool top cabanas.

Review 17:Truly outstanding staff where they anticipate your needs, know your name and your family's interests. Gold floor differentiates Fairmont from other high end chains and is always worth the extra cost

Review 18:true 5 star experience great location cabs always available good value compared to comparable in nyc or paris would gladly go back when in vancouver

Review 19:Ther was nothing about this location I didn't like.

Review 20:I was on business in Vancouver and wanted to be close to the congress centre. While the hotel prices were a bit higher than I normally am permitted I am glad I chose this location over others. The staff were absolutely wonderful and could not do enough to be sure I was comfortable. The food was excellent - since I work every night room service was the norm. I had a different meal every night each one as good as the previous if not better. I'm back in Vancouver for business in December and already have my reservations confirmed!

Review 21:told me im ready to check in at 15:00pm and end up i had to wait doing nothing for more than 1 hr and check in after 16:00pm. It was my only day off and it wasted alot of my time and started with bad mood.

Review 22:facility was ok

Review 23:Large picture in lobby you pass as you walk to elevators of woman (who appears dead) floating in water...then opens her eyes...Very creepy and scared my child. Didn't suit the beautiful decor and hotel at all! Extremely expensive however.

Review 24:Beds sooo comfortable, beautiful bathroom, rain shower great, lovely pool, staff so accomadating and best location in town!

Review 25:No bad experience but the live music in the entrance lobby whilst constituting a novel feature on Friday and Saturday evenings is intrusive during weekdays by turning the lobby into a (very early) night club.

Review 26:Good helpful and knowledgeable staff; well appointed room with excellent facilities; also an unobtrusive but clearly vigilant security team.

Review 27:The iPad provided in the room for services did not work at all. A band played live in the lobby every evening so it was incredibly noisy - odd

Review 28:Property was located in a great location. Everything was within walking distance. Staff was great! Concierge was incredibly helpful.

Review 29:staff were amazingly helpful in handling my lost luggage which did not arrive in Vancouver...they communicated and followed up with airline on my behalf. Sorely appreciated and unforgettable empathy and efficiency of staff..

Review 30:Poor relaxation areas. The lounge music was very loud, and with a lot of bustle. We didn't go there at all. The bed was too soft, compared with similar Fairmont hotels at Banff and Lake Louise. It was too hot and sweaty. The swimming pool area was spoilt by poor behaviour with a large young group who were drinking heavily and using bad language with children around. The staff did intervene eventually, but not soon enough

Review 31:Really liked the room overlooking the harbour with big windows and all the latest electronic gizmos including TV in the bath mirror. In particular the staff were really excellent

Review 32:It's a bit on the high side. Need to look for rate deals. All in all worth it.

Review 33:Love the staff, the lobby bar, food is great. When traveling on business close to office.

Review 34:The hostess was lousy with me when I didn't want to sit on the coach in the lounge, the room service girl was a little pushy , the woman at check out not pleasant either.

Review 35:Nice patio off our suite

Review 36:I did not like it rained on our last day. Why can they not control the weather!!!! :)

Review 37:The front desk staff and the Doorpeople were so wonderful. They always remembered my name, treated my teenage boys like people (usually they are looked down upon as being too silly or too loud). It was a wonderful experience.

Review 38:Not all staff are educated, we asked about the breakfast included in our stay and one staff informed me incorrect information as to where I could have eatten. At the check out, due to the misinformation confusion arose btw staff and us

Review 39:They catered to my needs and help every way they could

Review 40:The loud live music playing in lobby and abnoxious drunk people swarming the entrance looking to hook up

Review 41:The large soaking bathtub and TV in bathroom as well as modern Amentioned.

Review 42:The Gold level is a wonderful treat from regular stays at hotels and stands out because of the service, the amenities & beautiful views from the lounge. Great selection for breakfast to start the day! A wonderful experience to have had.

Review 43:The idea of paying for wifi when you're spending so much on accommodations, etc.

Review 44:We were just in for one night, celebrating our anniversary. I had made a note about it when booking but was surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade and even more surprised when a bottle of champagne arrived at our room with some strawberries and a complimentary card. The staff was friendly and always called me by name, even those I hadn't encountered before. I can't say enough about how these little touches made our night!

Review 45:That was a terrible experience. Impolite services provided and the staffs were terrible. I will never come back to this choice again and I regretted for choosing Fairmont.

Review 46:Expensive. At weekend ,there are big party at the lobby bar. It's quiet noisy.

Review 47:Good sea view, all the things in the room are moden and pretty cool.all the stuffs are friendly.

Review 48:no complaints whatsoever.

Review 49:Everything. Service, room, staff was exceptional, room amenities, view, tv in bathroom mirror, concierge services excellent. Jordan (Bellman) was most helpful and could not have been more professional. I thought he might be a manager's son because he was so professional. Cara (Concierge) was exceptionally helpful and pleasant to deal with in addition to having all the info we needed. Hotel car is a huge plus and the gentlemen driving were the most professional and courteous group of young men. Wonderful stay.

Review 50:The luxurious details in the room, impeccable service, feeling pampered. Large windows, fabulous views of the waterfront, proximity to shops/restaurants/parks. vibrant, inviting lobby. Modern furnishings and fixtures. High-end architectural details and materials throughout the hotel.

Review 51:Pricey but at least they treated you like you've spent the cash to be there. Great service, courteous and helpful staff. Location was perfect, near all waterfront activities.

Review 52:Breakfast was awesome but dinner not so much...

Review 53:Awesome installations, live music in the hall, good location, super nice staff, great room and bed, modern and clean.

Review 54:Pool area even in August is in the shade till 2PM and then it is only 25% of the deck that gets sun for the next 2 hours. Vancouver is cool even on nice days with the ocean breeze so it felt like I needed a parka while laying on the lounger.

Review 55:Staff wiliness to work through problems.

Review 56:Had issues with changing my room to what I had requested. There was a snafu with billing and they thought my stay was for one night instead of 5.

Review 57:The view was spectacular and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive

Review 58:No hard-copy nor electronic guide available for the many TV channels. Only the channel numbers and names were available. Staff confirmed this was an issue that was being looked into.

Review 59:Excellent location. Service and variety of drinks and meals on the gold floor very good.

Review 60:An abundance of obvious escorts within the lobby lounge has put a negative spin on my thoughts of this hotel.

Review 61:Disappointed in the amount of cable tv channels available

Review 62:Nothing at all to dislike.

Review 63:Expensive, but worth it. The staff is exceptional. The facility is outstanding. The food top notch.
