Review 1：You can't tell ahead what kind of unit you will have as these are privately owned condos and some are much nicer than others, and not much is standard. We were unable to get a first floor unit, so had to deal with stairs which are hard for me.
Review 2：They moved us when we had a bad bed. We liked the second unit much better and were very comfortable there.
Review 3：The furnishings are a bit old and shabby. Could do with replacing bedroom carpet and sofa.

Review 5：There was some confusion with the price of the room as their system was charging the tax twice, however it was resolved with no hassle and the staff was genuinely happy to help.
Review 6：The room was an excellent size, and very clean, while the shoreline is an older place, its definitely been maintained well and the staff were great. The location absolutely could not be better, crawling distance to the water and those amazing fish tacos at Salty's!!!!
Review 7：The bed was super hard and the Squeakiest thing I have ever slept on. Not enough blankets in the suite. The wifi was a hassle to get on my smart phone.

Review 11：Be sure to check all windows are secure, as every one of ours was unlocked, presumably to air it out when it was cleaned. It was only when we came back to the room after our walk that we realized none of the windows had been locked.

Review 15：They did not clean our room after our first night. When brought this to their attention, they explained "it was a human error". No offer to make any compensation or apology. I was charged for an extra night and had to phone them twice to correct this.

Review 17：Wi-Fi was connecting but Internet access kept getting denied. I am a tea drinker but only tea bags left were the first day. I asked for them the second but none came the third. . Dead fly left on the floor behind the toilet all our stay.

The caretaker poured a chemical in the pool while she was in it thar gave my daughter a rash. They have no extra pillows all around not happy. Walls are thin as paper so it sounds like people are moving furniture all the time. Very small tvs won't allow you to rent movies

Review 37：I was unhappy with the front desk staff upon checkin. There was a lot of confusion about my booking and not a lot of comfort in a solution. The next day we got an upgrade due to some confusion still. The upgrade was great and kind of management but then at check out they said there was an error and tried to charge me another fee. I had to produce my booking confirmation and then they took fee off. There was obvious tension amongst the staff which was uncomfortable as well. I loved the stay anyways but the checkin/ out part left me a bit bitter.

Review 40：Very good value for the money. Nice and clean and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. It was great to have the use of barbeques to cook on. They were very accepting of pets. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 42：Joy,the manager is very rude and just when you thought customers service were supposed to be the number one thing for hospitality industry, you're deadly wrong! It's the last thing for this Manager. We reserved 5 rooms (we have confirmation) after we checked in and got our fourth room, to our surprises, she said, we only have 4 rooms for you....after long and heated debate she said, how about I refund your money, you and your group can go somewhere else! Now, this reservation were made 2 months in advance and good luck with getting 5 rooms along Lakeshore Dr. We are loyal customers with shoreline for 6 consecutive years! They have new owner and management now so this is our last there!

Review 44：The hotel cleaning ladies were understaffed (not their fault) and our room was not ready until about 3 hours after check in. The management did not apologize to us, but just complained continuously about their situation. After having a long day of travel on our honeymoon, we were just ready to get inside, shower and head out for dinner. Management needs to work on customer service skills, and managing staff resources efficiently.

Review 47：The location could not get any better, the room was clean, the bathroom was very clean, the bed was no pillow top but it was not the worst bed on our journey, had shampoos etc, front desk and cleaners super nice, got us in early which was very nice of them. Decor and furniture felt like grandmas house, had a nice garage sale retro feel. but it was very clean. Did not use the hide a bed so cannot comment, but i suspect it would not be too comfy
Review 48：supposedly room had been renovated but.....when you sat on the toilet, you hit the cabinet, toilet paper roll was hard to reach on side wall, no fire extinguisher, air conditioner wasn't working the first night so miserable sleeping, bed didn't have room for foot board so blankets slipped off, no room for side table on one side so nowhere to place water or watch, etc, no ice cube trays provided and ice was only available for a $3 charge. never stayed where ice was not free, ever! owner was cranky when approached about non-working air conditioner and she was very proud of the remodel and didn't like when I asked to be moved which she didn't approve.

Review 59：Having worked extensively in the hospitality industry myself when younger, I tend to be empathetic but - unfortunately - the woman who checked us in was the polar opposite of Paul in terms of being rude, acerbic and condescending. It started when I was confused about the credit card intake machine as I am American and not used to the chip system now apparently standard with Canadian credit cards. Accordingly, I was reprimanded for withdrawing my card too soon. I think she had had a rough day, but that is not an excuse. Paul stepped forward and seemingly tried to offset the unpleasantness. Also, the bed was a roller bed and not very comfortable and, while the suite did have AC, it was inadequate relative to the space of the unit as the cool air did not reach the bedroom. The first two days were much warmer than average but still. Overall, I will rate this a 3 star due to the relatively solid value that $80 U.S. a night represents for the time of year and location - otherwise it would be a 2.
Review 60：The location was highly convenient to everything; across the street from the great beach on Lake Okanagan as well as near shops, restaurants and great kids' activities. Also, relative to Penticton beachfront summer prices our one bedroom suite with full kitchen facilities was a good value for the money. Moreover, Paul, a staff member, was extremely friendly, responsive and helpful as he seemingly ran all over the property in an effort to do everything for everyone and oversee staff.

Review 72：My husband and I stayed at Shoreline for 6 nights July 12-18, 2015 and couldn't ask for better. Our check in was fast and the easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. One staff member recommended a wine tour for us and the tour was amazing. The rooms were comfortable and clean with lots of fresh towels daily. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed including wine glasses and beer glasses...nothing was missing. The pool area was immaculate and the water was very comfortable...not too cold or to warm. It was nice to see the maintenance man out cleaning the pool every morning without fail. The location is amazing with everything you want and desire a hop skip and jump away. This our first stay at Shorline and will not be our last...we will be back. Great value for your money and I highly recommend this place to everyone I know travelling to Penticton. Thanks Shoreline...you're the greatest! Pam and Bill

Review 75：First room we were given had a terrible smell - cigarette and animal scent. We asked to change and were given another room. Both rooms are badly in need of updating. Stains on carpets. Toilet seat in 2nd room we were given was padded!!!! We decided to not stay (didn't ask for a refund) The Grandfondo bike race was on the next morning and the street would be blocked off and there was no guarantee that we would be able to leave the hotel until after 10:30. We had to get back to the lower mainland, and couldn't risk being late leaving Penticton.

Review 79：The best thing about this property is that it’s located right on the beach. And even though it is surrounded by a few similar resort motels and a few restaurants, so everything you need is nearby, it was very quiet. It’s also a short walk to downtown.

They finshed at 5 but were keep knocking between 9-10 while we were still sleeping (THAT WAS my vacation) or having breakfast.
