Reviews for Mount Baker Hotel

Review 1:First we waited for front clerk , finally tracked him down in the lounge playing checkers , not impressed It was not quiet at all Bathroom fan hadn't worked for long time , ceiling was stained dark spots from moisture

Review 2:The heating system was inadequate and very noisy so I never slept properly which severely impacted my ability to concentrate in the course I paid 1700 for. It was either too hot or freezing cold. I pay for a hotel to sleep and I regret my choice. I had to wake up constantly to unplug or plug in the space heater. I was in a severe state of sleep deprevation for school.

Review 3:Wow! The spa bathtub was so huge that I had to use the panorama feature on my camera just to take a picture of it. And we didn't even pay up for a spa tub. Room was comfortable and walking distance from lots of restaurants, including some awesome Indian food. For the price, this room was amazing. Enjoyed the free wifi and luxurious room.

Review 4:They didn't seem to have my booking. They had trouble understanding me and I also had the same problem with them. Parking around the corner and across the street. Smelly room. No coffee maker. No ice vending machine.

Review 5:Relatively close to serveral restaurants.

Review 6:Management was questionable - no one around at checkout, and had to give our keys to the sushi chef in the restaurant. Also, paid for the room in the sushi restaurant which was very odd. Sketchy bar right off the the lobby. Very old fridge in room which barely worked and stunk.

Review 7:Location was good. A/C worked well. Free parking.

Review 8:The room wasn't clean, the staff were impossible to find to check in, same with couldn't find anyone when time came to checkout. Also the bar that is attached said the kitchen was closed despite making food for themselves and fellow bar staff but refused to for us.

Review 9:Nothing

Review 10:We just needed a place to lay our heads for a few hours. But it was clear that the room hadn't been cleaned properly or at all. It just had that musty old feel to it. We found 5 different types and color of hair in the bed. We were too tired to make a fuss and left before reception opened.

Review 11:It had a late check in and was cheap as we were just passing through and needed a cheap place to stay for a night. The chap at front desk was helpful.

Review 12:Didn't check out the bathrooms very thoroughly though!:( the toilet had a sanitation seal on it, but when I looked inside it was not clean mysterious black floating in the toilet. Figured I'd flush it down. Toilet wouldn't flush. After messing around with the internals of the toilet I managed to get it to flush from the inside only. Later on that night my lady and i went to have a shower. Well the water wouldn't drain and it turned more into a bath. Turns out there was a hole in the side of the bathtub and water drained out all over the floor. Sometime during that shower the toilet backed up and now there was a little pool on the floor as well as little floaters...woo!! I dont think anybody actually works as a concierge there.. Tracking down someone is very difficult and they aren't very helflpful! :( long story short. I got a few towels a couple mops and a sponge and cleaned it up.... Was hoping to talk to some form of manager the next day but the place was a ghost town. My check out time was a lie, (since there actually wasn't anybody to tell me when to check out) I left the key on the front desk after trying to find someone 2 times.

Review 13:As I first entered the hotel room I was generally impressed with the state of the room I had payed 62$ for. It was spacey and minus the cigarette smell on the way to my room I felt content. The bed wasn't too bad, and the heaters worked.

Review 14:Noise from the bar across the alley, no coffee maker, no alarm clock, no extra towels, lack of T.P., remote had dead batteries and the staff had to search for another one. Staff was nowhere to be found when we checked out.

Review 15:Location is right downtown.

Review 16:The main stairs carpet a little dirty, wrong material? Dark upstairs in morning. Not sure how to get back in if out visiting at late hour.

Review 17:Beautiful renovations in the room. Great staff, very sccommodating to a delay in checking out due to issues getting vehicle out of the shop

Review 18:no proper heat in the room

Review 19:location not bad

Review 20:carpets need replacing in halls-seem pretty grubby

Review 21:staff was anxious to address any problems and make corrections

Review 23:Location was great

Review 24:Went to check in and there was police outside , and recommended us not to stay there , It was were all their criminals hang out .

Review 25:Blood stains on sheets, only given one towel for 2 people, stinky, loud screaming and fighting from bar downstairs, air conditioner didn't work.

Review 26:TV did not work at all & paid rent in the restaurant

Review 27:Its a run down motel. However staff was helping. Liked the giant size shower.
