Reviews for Rosedale on Robson Suite Hotel

Review 1:Great location. Slight issue with the reservation, I had accidently booked two doubles instead of a king bed. They found us a new room in minutes with a king. Great location!

Review 2:The hot tub, the room was great, the property was very clean from the garage to the elevators to the hallways. I loved the view from the room. Excellent service by all staff.I

Review 3:Staff were extremely friendly room was spacious and clean, location of the Original Joes bar directly downstairs was a treat. As well is its proximity to Rogers Arena (The reason i travelled here). Overall 5/5 will definitely stay here again

Review 4:Internet was a little intermittent and the elevators were a bit busy, but it might be because the hotel was full for the holidays.

Review 5:Location is excellent: you can do everything on foot and it is also close to the subway station. Apartment style room with kitchen is perfect for families with babies, as we could cook some home made baby food and also enjoy a dinner while the baby was safely and peacefully sleeping in the bedroom.

Review 6:We were very uncomfortable in the bed, did not sleep well. The sheets are way too starchy and cold for us and my husband found the product used to clean the sheets bothered his skin. I also miss not having a comforter on the bed for added warmth and cozyness, which some hotels do have. Also, we were excited to try the new restaurant, we went there for dinner and breakfast and will not eat there again. The food was not good, dinner arrived cold. Very poor breakfast. We thought how could you go wrong with eggs? We ordered easy over and they were over cooked. Bacon and sausage were awful. We were very disappointed with it.

Review 7:We loved the room and how it is set up, the cleanliness and the location. Loved the big bright windows.

Review 8:The elevators are so slow , original joes was not nearly as good as Rosie's and the inside of the rooms seemed a little out dated .

Review 9:The beds are really comfy and the location is very convenient !

Review 10:Furniture in our room was a bit dated and shabby, but it was all very clean, so for the discounted price I paid I am still very happy.

Review 11:The beds were SUPER comfy and the pillows were perfect! The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The view was great. I'd definitely stay here again. Breakfast in the restaurant was good and affordable.

Review 12:When I arrived at the hotel our room was not ready, reception advised us to leave our bags in the lobby. When we checked into the rooms I opened my bag to find my ipad had been damaged. The hotel denied any wrong doing, did not have any compassion or take my claim seriously. The air-conditioning did not work, rooms were old, lifts took 10mins + and staff were unreliable.

Review 13:Location was great!

Review 14:The hotel was very busy and we weren't able to check in until 4:40. The staff were very apologetic about it though and even comped us breakfast to make up for it

Review 15:Hotel room was very clean and the linens were excellent! Location was absolutely fantastic as well.

Review 16:Disappointed the attached former Rosie's restaurant has been converted into a noisier bar. Have fond memories from earlier visits.

Review 17:The Rosedale is well positioned but conveniently placed away from the hustle of heavy traffic. The suite we had on the 10th floor was excellent.

Review 18:Living room area felt more like a waiting room than a living room. No couch only several stiff chairs.

Review 19:Beds were comfy. Parking was great. Kid friendly. Everything needed was close by. Quiet for us and hopefully for everyone around us and our little one. :)

Review 20:No Wi-Fi in our room. We talked to the front desk twice in person, we called down and I filled out a card and it still didn't work for the 4 days we were there.

Review 21:Great location and onsite parking was excellent (other than all the taxes on top of the $16/day). Original Joe's Restaurant is onsite and was very handy for late dinners. Housekeeping was excellent and having the mini kitchenette ensuite was great. No street noise either!

Review 22:Rooms are basic, bathrooms small with old taps that turn different ways, lots of street noise as single pane windows and security lock did not work.

Review 23:Being in a suite room with 2 small children.

Review 24:The sheets on the bed were like paper, you couldn't turn the heat below 68 and there were not enough TV channels

Review 25:It was clean and the staff was very friendly

Review 26:We have stayed several times at Rosedale. One reason was Rosies Pub. A good meal and just the thing if jet lagged or bad weather. However the new Joes sports bar is dreadful. So noisey!!! and average food. Whoever allowed them in should be sacked.

Review 27:location. mini kitchen.

Review 28:The breakfast at the restaurant was not the best. They could do better as their dinner was excellent.

Review 29:On of the better hotels in Vancouver. Good value for money

Review 30:If anything at all, the rooms are getting a bit dated but that wasn't a big deal to us.

Review 31:It was a great location and having a suite was perfect for us.The convenience of booking trips from the hotel was a plus.

Review 32:Décor a little dated but this was out weighed by the positives.

Review 33:The little kitchenette was great as you could prepare light meals eg breakfast. Plenty of places to eat close by and close to skytrain. All necessary facilities for travellers eg laundry. Very helpful, friendly staff.Good value for money.

Review 34:Don't like the fact that I could not sit by the window with my morning coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy the view of Vancouver as the beds are pushed right against window and the sitting area is in the back with no windows and a TV which I didn't come to Vancouver to watch..the room is backwards in my opinion.

Review 35:Location.

Review 36:No bathrobes in first room, but had them when we returned to stay our last night in B.C. Quality of coffee in room is poor. Had Keurig coffee maker, but low quality off-brand coffees. So bad that I would bring my own next time. Gym is small and minimally equipped. Only decent treadmill was out of order during our stay.

Review 37:Very comfortable room with lovely views of downtown Vancouver. Great beds, sheets and towels. Well appointed kitchenette, but did not take advantage of it. Friendly staff and excellent location. Well appointed bathroom with excellent fixtures. 5 minute walk to Sky Train and bus to Stanley Park.

Review 38:The beds were very close to the wall. Hard for the inside person to get out of bed without waking the person on the outside.

Review 39:Nice, clean hotel. Close to BC place for the football game. The pool was good for our daughter.

Review 40:The room was very warm - we realised this was a result of the heat generated by the light globes in the lamps! Glad we were able to open the windows for a bit of relief.

Review 41:Spacious, comfortable, well located, easy to park our car.

Review 42:advertised as having WiFi, but in fact it was largely unavailable in our suite

Review 43:Quiet, roomy, comfortable, well-equipped kitchen, good central location

Review 44:The wifi was poor. It would work only intermittently and when it did work it was very slow.

Review 45:The hotel staff were friendly. The hotel is conveniently located near Rogers arena. Our room has a nice view of the mountains.

Review 46:Spacious room. More like a mini apartment. Fabulous view from bedroom. We stayed at L'Hermitage last time but after staying here I would bring the family back to Rosedale On Robson as you get the same amount of space/kitchenette etc for a much better price.

Review 47:Dull lighting in lounge area Noisy air conditioning unit Wi fi only worked in lounge - not bedroom

Review 48:Cleanliness Easy walking distance to most places Staff friendly and helpful with prompt service

Review 49:- No complimentary breakfast or other perks for business travelers even for staying long - Internet Service was pathetic

Review 50:- Location, just near Vancouver Public Library

Review 51:Nothing bad but would be nice to have king beds instead of queen.

Review 52:Good location with easy access to shopping and restaurants. All rooms are suites with separate bedroom.

Review 53:Although the suite had two good sized bedrooms the living area was small and there was no table to eat from. The kitchenette was extremely dated. Overall the whole hotel needs updating. The wifi was so slow it was useless!

Review 54:Ideal for a few days self catering downtown. Coffee shops next door for an easy option for breakfast or lunch. We were upgraded to a two bed suite which was welcome.

Review 55:No dislikes

Review 56:We stayed twice. Both times staff friendly and room great. Liked that we could leave our luggage in the morning and come back and check in in the afternoon.

Review 57:Ideally situated - close to many restaurants, library, museum, tourist centre etc. Staff exemplary and always cheerful, nothing was too much trouble. Spotlessly clean. We stayed there 3 times during our month long visit to Canada.

Review 58:Two points to be considered: The double beds are extremely narrow, so two adults do not enjoy sleeping. Also the wifi is working only in the small kitchen and not in the bedroom, the signal is weak

Review 59:It is a nice hotel in an excellent location..

Review 60:The day to day cleaning of our room was great but the room could have done with a good spring clean. Wifi wasn't always easy to connect to. Gymnasium was slack but swimming pool good.

Review 61:The location was great. Rooms a good size. Liked the environmental rules taken up hotel

Review 62:The caulking around the tub must have been deteriorating because the floor of the bathroom was all wet after my shower.

Review 63:Front desk had the room ready even though we were early and even threw in a free upgrade!

Review 64:the wifi was too weak that I had to go lobby for it. I wish they make the guest use wifi at room.

Review 65:the housekeeping amazing. She/he kept refill the tea capsule i like(cuz I don't drink coffee), make the room so tidy tidy clean.

Review 66:This seemed like it was a Hotel for tour groups. It was a 3 star at best. It was clean but dated. The Internet was awful, pool small and not somewhere we would stay again.

Review 67:The new restaurant has just opened and was great. Good, healthy food and nice atmosphere.

Review 68:Wifi access pretty much non existent. Lift service very slow. Minimal and small towels.

Review 69:Size and quality of suite. Pool and spa facilities. Newly opened restaurant.

Review 70:Hotel restaraunt was closed for renos for 3 of 4 days. Continental breakfast wasn't included in our booking.

Review 71:Wonderful staff. Excellent care of the room. Gorgeous view. Nice size pool. Quick response time of desk personnel

Review 72:Poor wifi, cramped kitchen, noisy air conditioning and lounge should have been where bedroom was as it was very dark. We didn't really like sleeping in huge window at front.

Review 73:Location

Review 74:The wifi is poor. If you need wifi don't stay here!

Review 75:The location was excellent, with close proximity to all Vancouver attractions, including Yaletown, Coal Harbour and Gastown. Our suite was spacious with everything we needed. We noted that a quality check was done by management before we moved in. The staff at check in was efficient but provided no information about the hotel or area. We would stay here again.

Review 76:Very weak WiFi, unacceptable in this day and age. Overall, the hotel is fine, but if good connectivity is important to you, look elsewhere. No in-room safe.

Review 77:Great location. Quiet room.

Review 78:No breakfast. We asked to have our bags held because we had a late flight out and they kept them outdoors. We decided we needed to remove items from outside pockets. Front room kitchen not necessary.

Review 79:Central location. Pool area.

Review 80:Fantastic location, easy access to public transport. We had room on the 14th floor and the view was superb. Room clean, spacious and with all needed kitchen equipment. Highly recommended. Parking way cheaper then you park in public parking or street.

Review 81:Wi-fi was horrendous. Stayed 7 nights and it worked well for about 10% of that time. Unable to get work done or check in for flights due to poor connection. Would rethink staying here again for this reason.

Review 82:Location was fantastic - lots of coffee, pubs, restaurants nearby - walk to BC Place, downtown, long walk or short cab ride to Yaletown, Gastown, Chinatown, Canada Place.

Review 83:Décor is dated, does not appear to have been upgraded since hotel was built in 1994. No sofas in the living room. Slow elevators. Pay parking $21/day. Wifi was intermittent, fast when it worked.

Review 84:Location in Yaletown is good. Great restaurants nearby, we were in town for the World Cup and BC Place is just down the street. Large clean rooms, separate living room and a small kitchenette. Great views from upper floors, we were on the 17th floor. Breakfast is OK. I would not pay extra for it, but if it comes with the room, not bad. Housekeeping did a good job.

Review 85:It was hard to find a parking spot but this is understandable for such a large event.

Review 86:Perfect location for the Women's World Cup. Staff was very helpful. Our children enjoyed the pool.

Review 87:Nothing really, lobby is too basic...rooms are nicer than anticipated from lobby appearance!

Review 88:Nice den/bedroom combo with extra room, fantastic views of Vancouver, good downtown location

Review 89:The WiFi was awkward to use and had to be reinstated when I returned in the evening. I wish there was the option of feather pillows. Also the iron didn't work well; it leaked hot water everywhere.

Review 90:I was really impressed when I arrived to find I was upgraded to a suite.

Review 91:The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was handy to have the kitchenette in the room. We had breakfast in the room every day. It was very clean & quiet.

Review 92:Wifi is free but is not consistent when in your room. Never sure if it will be working Elevators. Very slow

Review 93:Perfect place for going to a concert. Nice walk to uptown Robson etc for shopping. Close to canada line and yaletown restsurants. Third stay in 9 months. Will definitely stay again !

Review 94:I wouldn't like to be doing any other meals in the kitchen as it's a bit small but if you were on a strict budget, you definitely could use it.

Review 95:The room was much bigger than I expected. The little kitchen was great for breakfast. The location is fantastic.

Review 96:There was no restaurants/bar in the hotel as the exsisting facilities were closed for remodelling. They give you access codes for the wifi, one for each device up to 3 max, we had 4 devices.

Review 97:The location of the hotel suited us, handy for shops and restaurants in Robson St. Yaletown restaurants are also close.

Review 98:I missed where you had to log on to their website to access secure WiFi, so I was unable to use their WiFi. Every where I have been you just pick the one to connect to and enter the password.

Review 99:Kind of out dated decor. Room was stuffy and couldn't figure the a/c, if in fact it was an a/c control as it just had humidity settings on it. Had to open window at night as so stuffy and therefore very noisy outside. Odd system of how to control the lights in the room. No restaurant. $269/night. Way overpriced.

Review 100:Location, comfy bed, kitchen suite

Review 101:Loved the size and layout of the room and the self catering facilities - stove and stove top, microwave, all cutlery and plates, and stove cookware. Good size fridge. Bathroom lovely with a full size bath and overhead shower.

Review 102:Pretty much nothing. (No safety box in the room.)

Review 103:Central location in the heart of the downtown with walking access to everything, 10min walk from a SkyTrain station or taxicabs stop at the entrance, welcoming and helpful staff, nice decor in the room, great view of the downtown, sitting room with comfortable sofa, chairs, and convenient working table, comfortable and quiet(!) airconditioning with simple control, very comfortable bed, good kitchenette, full set of kitchenware and utensils, medium size fridge (larger than typical in hotels), cleanness, spotless bathroom, green healthy amenities, high-speed WiFi (up to three devices free). Lovely, highly recommended.

Review 104:The refrigerator and heating cooling were really noisy. The lights were different being on a master switch that didn't seem to work all the time. No pots or pans in the kitchen. Bed and pillows weren't up to my standard

Review 105:It's a big suite, and would be great if you were there for more than a day as it has a kitchen.

Review 106:For a non-smoking hotel our room smelled strongly of smoke and in the bedroom drawer was cigarettes ripped up and garbage. Contacted the manager and she gave us a % off of our next stay.

Review 107:The room was nice and big with a kitchenette and keurig machine :)

Review 108:Using booking.com does not include the continental breakfast with the room. Wifi was slow and the cable cuts out.

Review 109:Location was very convenient, not too noisy. In room kitchen was a nice option. Room was clean and the staff were very nice. The parking was really convenient as well which was hard to find.

Review 110:The exercise room was a joke.

Review 111:staff was very helpful especially the concierge who gave great directions and suggestions on where to go and the best /cheapest way to get there.

Review 112:Spacious lounge separate from the bedroom, well equipped kitchenette, bright room with great view. Great for friends or work colleagues sharing a room.

Review 113:Wifi connection was really terrible restricted to three devices and 80% of 24/7 times are disconnected ,nowadays in any 3 stars hotel we can get easily and freely connected .the other frustrating thing is the lifts are managed very poorly I spent 15 minute to reach from 15th floor to lobby including waiting time for lift,

Review 114:Only thing I like the room make up and pool and gym facilities and reception was friendly

Review 115:Although they provide free wifi , the network connection is very poor , only can be connect at hotel lobby . Not only my room , I heard many people complains it during my stays .

Review 116:Hate parking fees. Getting a little dated. Could use an upgrade.

Review 117:Loved that you can walk everywhere. Super close to Rogers and BC Place. Spacious room, great views. Comfy beds.

Review 118:The toilet didn't always flush properly (room 1604). You have to push the lever quite hard.

Review 119:We were upgraded to a supreme room from deluxe which was a nice surprise. The kitchen is dated, but nice to have. Location is perfect.

Review 120:Toilet flush was very slow and you had to press the handle continuously. Sofa bed was terrible! Needs a new mattress. Unsightly large dark stain on carpet in front of the elevator on 3rd floor.

Review 121:Location was awesome for touring fellow guests around the city. Breakfast was good. Usually enjoyed Rosie's and was sorry it was no longer there.

Review 122:building starting to show its age, so in need of some updating, HVAC in room is noisy

Review 123:suite well appointed with small kitchen,in a good location, price point in city is good balcony is large balcony with good view of the city.

Review 124:One queen bed in centre of bedroom would be better. Bedrooms are not really designed for 2 queen sized beds. One pushed right up against the wall and the other pushed up against the window, not good if you're acrophobic!

Review 125:Location great. Well appointed rooms, spacious and warm.

Review 126:There are never enough electrical outlets. The TV is placed too low to be able to watch a movie in bed.wall mount would be very good!

Review 127:I liked separate bedroom, the galley was good and well enough equipped.

Review 128:I ran a half marathon and the hot tub was way to cool after. Plus a bunch of young kids jumping around. Hot tub should be for 16 plus. The sauna was cold but the steam was nice. I know kids like to play but not in the hot tub. Overall I should be back. Thx bruce

Review 129:Close to everything. Great view.

Review 130:wished there would have been a restaurant that was open on the premises as we would have liked to have breakfast there rather than have to walk to find a restaurant. The current restaurant was under renovations and a new one is scheduled to open so that is going to be a good plus for this hotel.

Review 131:beautiful view from our 16th floor room, it was quiet in the evenings and we loved the fact that we were so close to everything that we wanted to do... we went to see a concert at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and it was just a short walk away! We were so impressed with this hotel that we are returning in the Fall and have already booked our room! Can't wait to be back.

Review 132:The Hosekeeping team uses the elevators. One should be asighned to them and let the other 2 be used for guests. Also, we had housekeeping knock on our door @ 8:30 on Sunday Morning the day after the concert, so if you want to sleep in a bit, don't forget to put your "Don't distrub sign" on the knob of your door. Otherwise great stay. Thank you

Review 133:The hotel is so close to everything, we were attending a concert at Rodgers arena and is was so close to walk. Lots of shopping and restaurants. The room is comfortable and having the extra living area is nice. The front desk people where very knowledgeble and the housekeeping team were great!

Review 134:Shower was very harsh with no option to decrease the flow. Ended up having baths instead :) Hubby kept rolling over and hitting the wall in middle of the night. One bigger bed would have been better than 2x doubles pushed up against the wall on one side and the window on the other side. (Not much to complain about really!)

Review 135:Excellent central location.

Review 136:It was a little difficult because the restaurant wasn't open but there are plenty of places to eat in the area. The hotel also went out of its way to be helpful to find places to eat.

Review 137:I have stayed here several times. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The last two times I stayed, I checked in early without any trouble. Everyone from front office staff to the maids was helpful. I appreciated that when I came back to my room when the maid was cleaning, she checked to be sure that I was the one who belonged in the room.

Review 138:there was often a wait for the elevator, even with the 3 of them, next time I plan on staying on 2 or 3 floor that will fix that problem.Didn't really care to pay for parking, was a little high i thought, but was happy to have it there.Maybe there should be a deal for more then 1 night stay?

Review 139:friendly people,clean&comfortable,location location location.
