Reviews for Moselromantik Hotel Kessler Meyer

Review 1:A lot of steps up and down from the front desk to our room, number 16. My wife has a bad back and neck and all those stairs were uncomfortable for her to traverse to and from the room. The front desk staff was not so helpful, I asked for a wake up call at 0600 on our first two mornings there and never received a wake -up call either day.

Review 2:The room was excellent, spacious with balcony shaded in the early morning and evening, extraordinarily comfortable beds. A most helpful restaurant staff.

Review 3:The hotel is a good 20-25 minute walk from Cochem town centre. Also it is up quite a hill so that needs to be considered. Having said that we walked in and out of Cochem twice daily and enjoyed the scenery and admiring the fascinating architecture.

Review 4:The hotel is smart, clean and well staffed. Our room had a balcony with a view of the fabulous castle in Cochem. Breakfast is superb and although self-service, the staff will make various options on request. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, sparking wine, fruit juices, cold meats, cheese, bacon, cooked eggs, frankfurters and a wide range of breads and pastries are included. The evening menu looked beautiful too but as there are so many places to eat we only had breakfast in the hotel. The Spa is also a superb asset and even in August it was not busy. We loved this hotel and the owner/son was very helpful and gracious.

Review 5:Lack of air conditioning, wifi reception in rooms bad, bathroom/shower very small, bedsare not comfortable.

Review 6:Location is good, good wellness facilities. friendly personel.

Review 7:The only WiFi was in the lobby.

Review 8:The spa area had everything we wanted: Steam, Pool, Lounge. The cocktails were fabulous, as was the view. The Entire staff was courteous and quick to help.

Review 9:bathroom is not in line with standards of a 4-star hotel. It was only a basic shower which did not work properly and has not been fixed during our stay despite our request. Value for money at the restaurant (à la carte) is disappointing too and overall the staff is not the most friendly and efficient you can find in Germany.

Review 10:good location and overall comfortable hotel with good infrastructures (terrasse, wellness)

Review 11:None

Review 12:Everything, we had a very spacious terrace overlooking the winter garden where in hot summer evenings (saturdays) the hotel hosts outdoor bbq the breakfast is great, hot and cold buffets with different options for eggs, fried, fried with cheese, scrambled and omelettes on order the hotel is 20minutes walk from Cochem centre with accessible path along the river And stunning views over the castle. Better to leave the car at the hotel car park as car park spaces look difficult in cochem. We didn't ask but it looked like bikes could be hired at the hotel too. I would recommend to take half board (3 or 4 courses with salad buffet), restaurant's menu is very refined. The staff were very friendly with us and our dog. hotel and restaurant are dog friendly. Overall we loved the hotel just wished we could have stayed longer than 1 night.

Review 13:We couldn't use the Wi-Fi anywhere in the hotel - although the advertised the fact it was available - it wasn't (not too good these days). Also seeing dogs in the dining room (not guide dogs) may work for some, but not for us.

Review 14:The hotel is in a great location and everyone is very friendly and helpful, although not all staff have a good command of English, they are very willing to try and meet your every need.

Review 15:Ensuite was far too small and very dated artexing. Sheets were not 100% cotton or mattress covers inhibited air circulation. Balcony view is completely obscured by foliage and rooftops. Restaurant terrace use seemed deterred.

Review 16:Restaurant & breakfast

Review 17:No wifi other than in common areas of the hotel. Too far from town to be convenient for a tourist. Our room was in a separate building, involving 81 stairs to get to our small, basic room. With 2 of us in the room we were triping over suitcases and each other.

Review 18:Has some onsite parking at no cost. Excellent breakfast provided.

Review 19:I would have been great if wifi was available in the rooms and not only at the reception, bar and restaurant.

Review 20:The staff where very helpful and friendly. The hotel has an excellent kitchen.

Review 21:Not having option of wearing bathing suits in mixed saunas

Review 22:Clean and comfortable Close location to Cochem centre

Review 23:Not feeling totally welcome or attended to in comparison to German visitors

Review 24:Relaxing

Review 25:The bar was closed at 10 pm. That could be too early for some people.

Review 26:Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent!

Review 27:Would have been nice to have WI-fi in the room

Review 28:Location, food and ambiance.

Review 29:Distance from down twon and very hard beds.

Review 30:Buffet breakfast, pool, and staff assistance.

Review 31:Staff, breakfast, location: all top!

Review 32:Bathroom was very small and water pressure in shower was very low and temperature of shower was hard to control. Hotel is ranked as a four-star hotel however we would give it only three stars; overall good but not very special. Price per night is therefore consideres too high.

Review 33:Location of hotel (approx. 2 km from the bars and restaurants of Cochem) is great. Employees are nice and breakfast is very good. Swimming pool is nice, however only indoor and therefore warm in summer time; would have been nice if the extended area could be opened in summer. Free parking next to hotel.

Review 34:Could not fault anything even if I tried !!

Review 35:Such a spotlessly clean Hotel, the Staff (all of them) could have not have been more friendly or patient in dealing us. Without any doubt this is the best hotel for service and facilities We have ever stayed in

Review 36:I had tried to reserve a massage, and it did not work out. Somewhere I read there was a hottub... only a pool with an area with jets--very nice, but not a hot tub...

Review 37:Excellent evening and morning meal!! Spa was very nice as well. Rooms very adequate and view was fabulous!!

Review 38:The hotel room was small and old, but most of all very dirty. At first the staff seemed very friendly, but they didn't do anything to solve the problem... Not something I would expect in Germany, in a 4 star superior hotel for almost 200 euros a night. Not recomendable!

Review 39:the location, the spa area

Review 40:Dinner in restaurant was very poor. One dish overcooked, the other one had raw cold fish. Was sent back to restaurant. My wife finished her meal and my meal was only brought back when I complained. It still wasn't cooked. No member of management available. Complaint was with kitchen not waiting staff who tried to cope with situation

Review 41:Room was large and hotel very well decorated.

Review 42:A very well presented and exceptionally clean hotel with spacious dinning room, bar and seating areas. Plenty of outside tables to enjoy breakfast in the sunshine.

Review 43:The wifi-connection was unreliable in the public area (reception & restaurant): usually no signal in the morning. Evening restaurant service unfortunately was badly organised the first evening of our stay - we didn't risk to come back.

Review 44:A very delicious breakfast. Friendly staff.

Review 45:The restaurant food was good quality but a little expensive for a family on a budget

Review 46:The swimming pool and spa facilities make it a suitable place for all the family

Review 47:WiFi was only available in main part of hotel or in garden, I would saythat if you don't speak German you may struggle as staff don't speakmuch English and everything written is in German with no translation. Ifyou are looking for a late night the lights go out at 11pm also thehotel is up a very steep hill and 2 km from main town. If you use garagethere is a charge of €7.50 per day

Review 48:Hotel was first class with excellent facilities.

Review 49:We only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer. This is an ideal place to spend some time and travel from there up and down the Mosel. Thoroughly recommendable hotel and friendly staff.

Review 50:None.

Review 51:location,swimming pool, breakfast, staffs are very friendly.

Review 52:no bath, douche somewhat small

Review 53:Sauna, swimming pool, breakfast

Review 54:Fine view

Review 55:This is a very nice hotel, run by style.

Review 56:Beautiful view. Wonderful staff. Great balcony.
