Reviews for Loden Vancouver

Review 1:I realize that there is an entrance to the restaurant Tableau from the hotel, but the food smell is extremely strong in the lobby and hits you even as you exit the elevators. That is my only gripe - it would be nice if they had some sort of air purifying & fragrant system. Other than that, hotel was great and was even able to accommodate a late check-out so we could enjoy our staycation just a little longer.

Review 2:We enjoyed the modern room decor and loved the turndown service. Most hotels simply offer a chocolate on a pillow, but the water and quote in addition to the chocolate was a nice surprise! Excellent bath products - haven't seen Molton Brown products since staying at the NY Palace

Review 3:I did not understand why my hotel rate had to fluctuate yet had booked before.

Review 4:The staff are very friendly and all the time ready to listen and help where need be- from driver to reception ladies to Adrien and restaurant ladies. Location very central as one can walk to most shops and mall.

Review 5:There was nothing I did not like it was a very good stay.

Review 6:I liked the location of the hotel it was surprisingly quiet given the central location. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome.

Review 7:I missed having tea making facilities in the room. However during the wakeup hours in the lobby, there is a Nespresso machine and beautiful TWG tea which you can make and take back up to your room or make to go if on the run.

Review 8:From the time we arrived til our departure we found the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very personal service throughout our two day stay. The location was excellent and the use of the Loden bikes was much appreciated.

Review 9:There is issue with room door, which do not offer full noise isolation (relative to hotel standard). Here is room for improvement.

Review 10:Loden offers small things which matter: - coffee to go at the reception - free of charge bikes to rent - excellent hotel restaurant And very helpful staff.

Review 11:The location, service, room are very nice to stay for vacation. I would really appreciated the hotel staff to return my personal things I forgot at the hotel after we have left Vancouver .

Review 12:Beautiful Boutique hotel near all amenities. The Halo Penthouse suite was fabulous and a must if available to you. All staff were courteous, pleasant and helpful. All suites are beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Yoga mats in rooms...very luxurious!!!

Review 13:Everything about the hotel was wonderful. Gym facilities were excellent; room was luxurious and spacious; and the staff was extremely warm and helpful.

Review 14:Loved everything about the Loden! The staff were incredibly attentive. Matthew, one of the bellmen, provided us with several great restaurant recommendations, as well as information about the best ways to get where we wanted to go. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional.

Review 15:If I tell you nothing you must trust me

Review 16:Everybody was friendly and pleasant and all of them were, very professional. My wish is to go back over there as soon as I can. For sure now, I will not try any other hotel in Vancouver great place

Review 17:AC blower was a bit loud.

Review 18:Put us in a corner room with two floor to ceiling windows, very scenic. Comfortable bed, slept well. Free WiFi with no device limits or other nonsense

Review 19:First class friendly service with an eye for detail, in house use of bikes so useful in what is one of the best cycling friendly cities I know. Top rate Restaurant is also a bonus

Review 20:We had a wonderful experience during our stay. We were slightly disappointed that we didn't have a room with a view of the harbor; however, it didn't seem as if any of the rooms had a very good harbor view based upon the hotel location. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. No noise was heard from other rooms or from the hallway even though we were right in front of the elevator.

Review 21:The Loden is perfectly located between the Coal Harbor Sea Wall and Robson Street. We enjoyed the easy walk in either direction during our three night stay. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable especially Boris who gave us good dinner recommendations and was very friendly. Having the ability to reserve the van to take us around the city was a huge plus. We really enjoyed our stay at the Loden and highly recommend this hotel.

Review 22:Parking is valet only, little pricey but comparable with the city as a whole

Review 23:Beautiful, modern, light room with huge bed and good quality bed linen Lovely shower, good toiletries and well equipped gym Free bike borrowing Friendly staff

Review 24:Valet/bell was most efficient and attentive. Front desk was not that welcoming or friendly. Tableau's breakfast is very disappointing. Room service should be 24 hours.

Review 25:Well designed rooms and very clean. Spacious and very clean. well equipped fitness room.

Review 26:I wish I could have stayed longer

Review 27:Loved the decoration of the rooms, especially the patio in front of it.Although it is in a central location our rooms were very quiet.

Review 28:Only choice for music in the room was the clock radio and a pool would have been awesome.

Review 29:Convenient location and beautiful rooms, super comfortable beds with spa like bathrooms, overall an great place to stay for a weekend getaway!

Review 30:The service was questionable at times. We called down to have our car brought out and had to wait 25 minutes from the time we called for them to bring it out. The concierge did not properly convey to the valet our request. We stood in the lobby for 10 minutes before any one asked us if we needed help. In general, the staff was not as attentive or as helpful as we would have liked.

Review 31:The room was luxurious and clean. Floor to ceiling windows and plenty of mirrors were definitely a plus. The bathroom was amazing! Overall, loved the rooms.

Review 32:Location was excellent. Close to great shopping and restaurants. Hotel was comfortable and staff were helpful. Restaurant and bar had a good vibe and was obviously popular with both guests and locals alike. The rooms were very comfortable.

Review 33:The design of the room was fantastic: the sliding doors, the mirrors, the fixtures, the little bench at the entry. One of my favorites of all time! I loved the little cards with famous people's quotes that housekeeping left.

Review 34:Hard to get cabs from location (this truly was annoying) Nothing going on around immediate area at night (but expected)

Review 35:Room design, decoration. Room upkeep excellent, good condition, clean Bed is nice Great staff Good restaurant with good drinks

Review 36:Only complaint would be the bed was not the best, but was still decent

Review 37:Super Clean and swanky. Great staff. Good location. Tableau bar/bistro was amazing

Review 38:Can't think of a thing.

Review 39:Location, close to so much. Great Staff and quick service. Had Ice to the room within 10 minutes of the call. Loved the Loden Cab, used it several times. Great market close by. Good place to walk everywhere. Rooms were great, loved the bed.

Review 40:breakfast buffet was average, not great because there was no cook

Review 41:great friendly accommodating staff, excellent design, bistro was very good because there was a chef and very good menu

Review 42:Bathroom lighting a bit dark, difficult to apply makeup.

Review 43:Modern, quiet and very comfortable. Nespreseo coffee in lobby. Hotel shuttle service available to take guests to local destinations.

Review 44:The floor of my room was a bit dirty when I arrived, it had breadcrums on the floor and on the sofa... The is the only thing I didnt like as it makes you feel straight away aware of where you put your step on your own room..

Review 45:I liked the area of the hotel very much, the staff where always smiling and ready to help. It's my first time I stay at this hotel during my business trips in Vancouver, and I will come back. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The also have a cute bar for dinner

Review 46:not many food to choose in the hotel, but a lot of chooses around

Review 47:hotel shuttle is convinent to the most of the scenes friendly front desk and other stuff

Review 48:I didn't like the small size of the room. There was no place to out bags and no microwave.

Review 49:I liked how quiet the room was and it was decorated very nice. The bathroom was very awesome and had everything that you could need.

Review 50:We had some difficulties with the wifi in the beginning because you had to login but we figure it out later. Maybe the front desk could explain it more or had more instructions in the room about the wifi.

Review 51:We came off the Alaskan cruise and wanted to stay one more day in Vancouver. The Loden was located walking distance from Canada Place. We enjoy being able to walk everywhere. They provide bicycles for us to ride around too. The staff is extremely knowledgable on food and entertainment in the area. The room is extremely comfortable and the yoga matt feature is different. Great for young couples who don't like big hotels and wants to be pampered.

Review 52:Adjoining Tableau restaurant has limited hours and was closed for a private event during our stay. Breakfast buffet was good but had limited selections.

Review 53:Location! Short walk to Stanley Park, waterfront and other great neighborhoods like Gastown and Robson Street. Helpful staff and comfortable beds made our stay here very enjoyable.

Review 54:The room was very comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and the food (in the attached bistro - reservation required in the evening) was superb. I would certainly stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Review 55:We were very impressed about the Loden Hotel on our first stay in Vancouver. The presentation of staff, friendliness and professionalism were all excellent, basically could not fault the hotel at all.

Review 56:No tea-jars for boiling water.

Review 57:The service was excellent. They helped us a lot. Among others, one amazes me was when I asked my laundry to be ready by the day after before noon, he delivered them a few hours after I sent him my laundry; though it was the labour day (?) - a public holiday. They also brought my car in seconds. Internet speed was awesome. Thank you.

Review 58:We booked the Loden based on reviews from the internet. When doing that, you're never quite sure what you'll get but this wound up to be a wonderful surprise. We had a 10th floor room with a two-sided view. The place was clean and modern with a staff that was ready and will to accommodate. Would book here again in a nanosecond.

Review 59:No facilities to make coffee or tea in the rooms. This is small matter or some but was a disappointment for me

Review 60:Location is very good and the quality of rooms is very high. Very nice staff, and good restaurant. Quiet too.

Review 61:Nothing

Review 62:Excellent location and excellent staff, everything is fantastic , especially the coffee service in the lobby every morning, we had a wonderful stay in Lodon.

Review 63:No cooked breakfast before 10.00am, other than warm breakfast wraps.

Review 64:Located close to Coal Harbour & not too far away from Stanley Park. The hotel is situated in a quiet street and is only a short walk away from downtown and the nearest trolleybus stop. There were cycles available in the foyer for hotel residents to use. Our room on the 5th floor was spacious and comfortable and we were never disturbed with any noise from the corridor or the lift. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the staff who were friendly and helpful. Overall, we had an excellent stay at the Loden and will definitely return on our next visit to Vancouver.

Review 65:Breakfast is a simple continental during the week.

Review 66:Walk to almost anywhere. Tableaux is a wonderful and bistro with amazing staff. Well appointed rooms, thoughtfully designed.

Review 67:The front desk staff are a bit standoffish.

Review 68:It's located in a very centralized area with easy access to Stanley Park, Waterfront/Convention Center, luxury shopping, and great dining. Yet, it's a quiet hotel as there aren't loud activities at night, unlike Yaletown. The gym has up to date equipment and it's very well designed, an important feature to me. The complimentary bike use and car service to downtown locations are also wonderful features.

Review 69:Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the hotel room. Cost of onsite parking.

Review 70:The space in the room and the size of the bathroom. Personal service at breakfast.

Review 71:First room smelt of dog urine.....changed and was upgraded.

Review 72:Very quiet. Lots of little thoughtful extras like bath salts, slippers, umbrella and shopping bag. Large bathroom, dressing area.

Review 73:The staff were really helpful and went out of their way to give us advice. It was great having the use of their bikes as Vancouver is very geared up for cyclists. They have a complimentary hotel taxi for short journeys which is useful if you are going to a restaurant and don't want to walk. The location suited us for everything we wanted to do.

Review 74:Was only there for a stopover, so didn't make real good use of the things we paid for (bikes, car service). Area a bit far from the action of downtown. Has that weird bathroom sliding wall, in which you can open it up to the room - not good for a couple in the early stages of their relationship (maybe a bit too intimate).

Review 75:Very welcoming staff, close to the water and the park. Beautiful room overall and very comfortable bed. Free wifi.

Review 76:No tea making facilities in room and only in reception at breakfast time.

Review 77:Friendly staff, Great position could walk to most places ,very comfortable and clean room, business centre for checking flights etc. Had dinner at the restaurant one night and food was excellent.

Review 78:The hotel was a bit overpriced in my opinion. The spa is basically a room where massages can be done. There is not a pool in the hotel.

Review 79:Loved the location and the staff efficiency. Also, the convenience of complementary bikes and a hotel car.
