Review 1：When I booked online while traveling I chose this place because it was $45. When we arrived it was $63.....otherwise we would have stayed elsewhere for the higher price with more amenities: i.e. bathtub
Review 2：Very friendly gal at the front desk. She seemed to do it all....checkin, cleaning, shoveling. Much appreciated.

Review 7：Our Grandchildren love the lazy bear lodge and a holiday wouldn't be complete without spending our last night here. We had trouble with the wifi but that could be us or the children.
Review 8：The parking was a problem especially at night but it's not the owners fault. There's just not a lot of room. If you have parking stall, walk to where ever you have to go.

Review 11：The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was decent for what I paid. I wasn't expecting the Hilton because I wasn't paying Hilton prices. I drove from Vancouver to pick up a puppy and just needed a place to sleep. For what I paid here, I was happy.
Review 12：The bathroom smelled like mildew. The motel is thread bare. It needs remodeling. The owners smoked right at the entrance to the motel and below our room. This was enough for us to leave a day early.

Review 15：The people, staff and folks staying were incredibly nice. The rooms were an amazing value, the air conditioning was incredibly cool on those 30 plus degree days. The location had a pool to cool off, a BBQ for those who needed it ad all of the amenities of a large hotel in a nice little setting.

Review 20：Friendly staff. We were made to feel welcome. We had two small children with us. They were also made to feel welcome. Liked the friendly and welcoming atmosphere for motorcyclist. I didn't have my motorcycle with me but I will bring it next time.

Review 23：Breakfast was very skimpy - we went out elsewhere. A (since terminated) drunk employee and her equally drunk boyfriend had a very loud and prolonged fight at 3:AM. Police responded quickly and management also responded quickly.

Review 25：I arrived at midnight and had to spend 1/2 hour wiping down all the surfaces as they were so dirty. It was disgusting! The bed was so old & uncomfortable. I was there as I had surgery scheduled and enough stress to deal with without having to deal with moving hotels or complaining. Therefore I just left a note explaining why their flannels were so dirty due to the clean up I had used them for. I cut my trip short as I refused to stay there post surgery. They were very helpful in refunding my last night! Despite the pleasantness of staff, I would never recommend this place to stay. Give me a miserable host over a clean & comfortable room any day. All I ask is for a clean and comfortable room, and this was an epic fail!

Review 36：sign on hiway said newly renovated rooms #34 was not still had a green tub from way back small refridgerator sat quite low on whatever they had holding it. Microwave was put on desk( no room to sit to work on computer. there was a Hide a bed in room which had an odor to it. They have smoking right outside the rooms which made it very noisy when the neighbours were outside. also when the door was opened the smell came in our room!
Review 37：We loved the look of the exterior... very inviting. It was right in the center of town which was great. the cleanliness of the room was also great.
Review 38：Great value for money, we stayed at several motels on our tour around the rockies and this was by far the nicest. I wouldn't rely on the breakfast though, but for the money it's as nice as any.

Review 41：Very old, Lingering smell of smoke. We were assigned a 'non-smoking' room but there were ashtrays right outside our room for anyone to smoke. The bathroom window opened but the screen was ripped which meant flies became a regular visitor.

Review 48：Poor room lighting to sit & read. Lacking in electrical outlets. Every unit had ashtrays with an outside chair that are well- used. Great for smokers who visit outside but bad for others who have to walk by to get to/from office. Great for outside visiting but annoying to those of us trying to sleep while loud talking laughing etc went on til after 1 a.m. the night we were there despite 11pm quiet curfew.

Review 54：We came in after a long ride on the Harley. We were greeted with warm smiles and two cold beer, what a nice touch for people who ride. Our room was clean and comfy. The Lazy Bear had a real family feel and you could tell all the guests felt it. Everyone sat outside and talked together. They also offer a free continental breakfast which really helps when you're on the road. A really wonderful place to stay with fantastic owners - our new favourite!

Review 57：The owners live at the motel with their young children. It's not a large problem but the kids did tend to monopolize the pool area. It doesn't make for a relaxing pool experience. We dodged it for this reason.
Review 58：The staff/owners at lazy bear lodge are amazing. They make you feel as though you are not just a guest but part of their family. The location of this motel was amazing. Within moments you are close to restaurants and the downtown hub. You can see the pride they take in their motel and it reflects on their customer service.

Pulled up and the pool was a dark brown colour - apparently pipes had gone the day before but very disappointing on a hot day after a long drive.

Review 71：The pool was empty, which was not advertised for this being the summer time. The shower was not good, the AC didn't work well, the sink had drainage issues, the pillows were as limp as noodle. The office staff where away when trying to check in and out. If I paid 30 or 40 bucks, I wouldn't care to much, but 80 was a rip off. Place seemed like a haven't for drug users, didn't feel comfortable with my 6 yr old son with me.
Review 72：Going to the reception lobby to get the included continental breakfast which was very basic (muffins, croissants, coffee/tea only) and having to take it back to the room to eat. Some traffic noise but new owner says that upcoming door an window replacement will improve that considerably. No fault of the motel but Cranbrook is an uninviting town. Drab and boring.
