Reviews for Hotel Mědínek Old Town
Review 1:The only negative was that it was a warm night but we had to close the windows because of the street noise (music and loud people, it was a Saturday night).
Review 2:Plenty of room with a nice big tub in the bathroom. Pleasant view of the square. Very comfortable beds.
Review 3:It is a very old hotel. Maybe it was a 3 stars hotel in the 70's or 80's.. but not anymore. The room and bathroom was old. The shower curtain was dirt and one of the towels had a hole.
Review 4:It is in the main square.
Review 5:Price of the holet was quite big, but breakfast was poor. It was colored water instead of orange juice and water from the tap instead of mineral water!! We reciever several calls before the cheking out time. And personnel tried to come in our room despite of the singboard "Do not disturb"
Review 6:the hotel faces what could be considered the central square of the town that makes its location perfect but on the other hand a lot of disturbing noise comes with it. the worse source of it is the piano across the square freely accessible for anyone passing by to play(banging) it day and night.. ruins the whole experience
Review 7:Our room (and by looking from outside all the others also) didn't have any kind of blinders or curtains that could keep the light from outside from coming in, or even keeping people from the buildings across the street from looking in. On top of that, our room was on the first floor and we had a street light a couple of feet from out window, meaning we had light in our room the whole night making a good night of sleep impossible.
Review 8:Location couldn't be better.
Review 9:Considering the location, directly on a main square in the center, I would have expected much better. The hotel is very run-down, shabby, and my hotel room had broken vertical blinds with almost completely missing blades (maybe 3 of 25 were still remaining). This made it impossible to have privacy or keep the street lights out, at night. The breakfast was also very poor and they ran out of food quickly. The breakfast room and the tables were dirty. This place has seen better days.
Review 10:The staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 11:Breakfast rather poor, coffee horrible, no fresh juice, would be okay 30 years ago in the Communist days
Review 12:Location is great, at the main square in the heart of the city, within walking distance from all sights and restaurants, except the Ossuary (the "Bone Church"), which is close to the railway station. Safe in the room not working (actually in no rooms).
Review 13:The premises are rather outdated. While one can find certain charm attached, still better not to expect too much.
Review 14:Good location at the city center of old town Kutna Hora. Good value for money, but beware, you pretty much only get what you pay for.
Review 15:Just under our room there was a kebab place which blasted music all night. In most of the rooms you probably cant hear it but in some rooms it might get a disturbing
Review 16:The location is perfect, everything you need is just a walk away and easily findable. The staff was nice and spoke english. The room was great for the price.
Review 17:Great location. Great staff. They helped us out with planning our trip. We saw all of Kutna Hora with our limited time. I am so happy. Thank you so much! Walking distance to everything. Central location. Great place to be.
Review 18:The rooms are not that attractive, not that clean but the atmosphere conpensates for everything.
Review 19:I guess this hotel was a representative hotel in the 60's, 70's and it was built in that style - so it has that kind of socialist era charm. I liked it very much.
Review 20:There was one bored-looking woman in breakfast room and althought everything were finished she didn't fill foods. Also reception personnel were quite bored.
Review 21:Reception woman in night shift was friendly. Location was very good.
Review 22:Some advertised features were not available like english speaking staff no air con and the sauna aoparently doesnt exist even though it is in tye hotel book
Review 23:Location was perfect breakfast was good
Review 24:No air conditioning and the shower would not work. The noise from the drunks on the town square was very loud.
Review 25:The location of the hotel is excellent. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good.
Review 26:Rooms not clean, cheap cheap breakfast: artificial chemical orange juice, better to have none. No food at breakfast buffet except eggs, bread and cheese

Review 60:The staff was very flexible and they were not stressed about us checking out one hour later. Since we have been there on Valentine´s Day they even decorated the room and bought a present for a little extra payment. Room was very clean and with a balcony that provided a great view over the old town. We can surely recommend this hotel, since the price was unbelievably economic in relation to the service provided. Enjoy your stay at Hotel Medinek!!!
Review 61:As for the breakfast we didn't liked the buffet served. Seemed like they were not fresh and the restaurant was not as clean as we would liked to be.

Review 63:It is very central and close to all tourist attractions and restaurants. Lady at reception was very kind and helped us in all our requirements (finding a taxi promptly etc.). Also service at downstairs was very clean and high quality.
Review 64:Showers could be more powerful and smoking inside of the hotel , although rooms were smoke free.
Review 65:Good location, right in the middle of the city , which is gorgeous! Friendly staff, simple and clean rooms, ok' ish breakfast. Parking available at the back.
Review 66:The shower head in the bathroom did not have a cradle, so it had to beheld the whole time, plus the hosepipe was too short for anyone over 5´.The curtains were very thin and with a streetlight right outside thewindow, made the room very bright, making it hard to sleep.
