Review 1：The dirty socks and Kleenex under the bed. Half used soap and hair behind the toilet. Satisfactory for the price.

Review 26：Each room is not equipped with an iron & ironing board, which could have been hung on the back of the bedroom door. Even a table top type would have been appreciated. The blow dryer was faulty and in need of replacing. The tub taps were difficult.

Review 28：The rooms are all non smoking HOWEVER smoking is permitted on the outside balconies beside the doors into the rooms. That is right beside the doors. We were unable to leave our door open to get fresh air into the room [all windows were non opening] because the wind blew the second hand smoke from our upwind neighbour straight into our room. I was of the understanding that smoking was not permitted within 15 feet of a doorway. I would suggest making a designated smoking area towards the rear of the property [ie downwind ] and have no smoking on the balconies at all. If you feel you must have smoking on the balconies then only allow smoking on the rear units [downwind]. Thanks Denis

Review 32：This is an older facility but well maintained. I stayed for a week in August with my 9 year old son in a 2 queen room on the second floor. The room had a small fridge which came in handy. The staff were friendly and the room was cleaned daily. There's onsite laundry. Convenient location to walk across the street to the beach and the lake, right on the beach front strip near lots of restaurants. Only 10 minute walk from main street downtown or a short drive to the grocery stores and other shops/restaurants. No problems parking.

Review 33：There was an odd smell in the whole apartment, the bathroom was tiny and with no place for the toileteries. The sofa was very old, did not look clean and was smelling.

Review 37：there was two bed in the room, 1 bed is not comfy, its too soggy, creaky, my fiancee had back ache from sleeping on it, carpet is dirty, room smells like cigarette smoke, the couch is smelly, i wonder if the bed covers and blanket are fresh, because when i sat on the bed there was bread crumbs on it, by the second evening it was a little chilly, we turned on the heater but the smoke alarm went on, we didn't wanna dis connect it because its safer i guess just in case there's fire, at the kitchen there is no fan by the stove, so when you cook something its kinda smelly inside the room.

Review 57：The lack of cleanliness of the room. When we first arrived, there was debris all around the bed. Our family goes to Penticton every year, and we wanted to make the Spanish Villa our home away from home; however, I don't think we will return there. It was very disappointing.

Non smoking rooms but you allow smoking right outside room. Smells like ashtray and dogs everywhere (pets allowed here). Booking.com and Spanish Villa website failed to mention that. Gonna sleep in our car next time. I wondered how this place had vacancy when we booked a week before arriving. Thought we lucked out from someone cancelling. Not worth the $$$. Should be $50 a night at most.

Review 66：We enjoyed the stay. It is close to the beautiful beach and restaurants. The stay was a stopover for some wine tasting on the way to Vancouver from Calgary. The accommodation was not perfect for what we needful.

I explained Iwas told I could pay cash and nothing charged. Once she stated eyerolls, huffs and puffs I asked if I could leave a deposit until the nextday once I retieved my card number and bring it to her them. 9 meanwhilethe first night stay had already been paid in full ) She said I couldbut she would not be able to do 2 transactions so I couldn't get the500 dollars back the next day ! Why ??? So, finally got me number aftermuch hesitation from her. Then... Had to throw in," well it needs asignature ( very rudly ) ". First night there I wasn't in avery holiday spirit of the bat. Then... First morning, great jobcleaning and filling the room. Second morning.. Went back to the room.All the garbage was unemptied, not enough towels were left and, coffeeect wasn't replaced. As we walked past I mentioned it to anothermale who works there and was told very friendly he would have it takencare of. 4 Hrs later we returned, nothing had changed. Went down to theoffice. Guess who was there. Yep... The lady I dealt with the firstnight. I was ignored for 15 mins while I stood waiting for her.Preeceded to ask for more towel, dirty looks, eye rolling, but I did getthem. Ask for another pack of coffee since it wasn't filled. In avery rude voice I was told I was suppose to supply my own coffee, creamand sugar ???? Never have I had to do that in a hotel. Reluctantly shedid give me some, but her attitude already had me shaking with anger.Really, the stay was only what me and my teen girls made it. We had agood time anyway. But hospitality is certainly not the womans strongpoint !! Quite disgracful.

We're not told there is a router inevery room for wifi with the password on it. No wifi"directions" in the "Hello book" and we weren'ttold when we checked in where it was. Front desk is only open 8am-10pmso, being early risers, we were unable to get it before we left for theday. Should have been told to us on check in.
