Reviews for Hotel Promenade
Review 1:Very small room for us three including an old child. The room was on the top floor - we all hit our heads several times on the low roof. The facilities inside the room we stayed were very basic and simple.
Review 2:Friendy staff. Big parking place for us driving. Nice food in the restaurant inside hotel.
Review 3:This is a lovely hotel in a very nice location - just a short walk from the town centre. Characterful old building with a wonderful garden, friendly and helpful staff, everywhere nicely decorated and very clean. I had a quiet and comfortable room overlooking the garden. The breakfast was excellent and there was the possibility to eat it outside on the terrace . I would never want to stay anywhere else in Schaffhausen.
Review 4:- Helpful friendly staff let us check in early when we arrived several hours before check in time - Quiet location with a private garden and woodlands meant we woke up to bird song and felt 'in the country side'. There is a barefoot path in the little woodlands which made for an enjoyable 10min after walking around sightseeing all day.
Review 5:Room size and layout of triple room is excellent. Very clean and lovely setting, with helpful friendly staff. Not too far to walk to the main part of town.
Review 6:The hotel is about 100 feet from a church and the church bells were loud and ringing every 15 minutes until 10pm and then starting again at 6am. Not very quiet to sleep. The rooms were warm and the bedding was too hot for the summer. Breakfast was ok, but basic (bread, butter, jam, cheese, lunch meat, yogurt and cereal). Hot plates cost extra (ex: scrambled eggs).
Review 7:The hotel was located only a few kilometers from the Rheinfalls, the crib for the baby was free, they accepted animals although it was for a fee, breakfast was included, and the staff was really nice.
Review 8:Not in the old city but close. Very quiet. The quality of bed is excellent. We rent a kettle at the reception because I was informed we could. Quite nice service.
Review 9:Everything in Switzerland is expensive, the Promenade is no exception.
Review 10:The restaurant is excellent, really impressive food and wine. The staff are friendly but there can be a bit of a language barrier as some don't have the best English. Would certainly stay here again.
Review 11:LoLocation was easy to find. Parking on site easy and safe.
Review 12:The quality of the room, the excellent restaurant, the parking facilities, the global environment.
Review 13:No bad experiences at all... :)

Review 27:Location, near train and ship (to Konstanz), and convenient for riverside walk to Rhinefalden.
Review 28:This hotel is a little gem. The owners and staff were ever present making you feel at home. The patio was soothing and the gardens breathtaking.
Review 29:Poor breakfast
Review 30:Large rooms
Review 31:Value for money, fantastic staff, best wifi of the trip great location and rooms were outstandingly clean
Review 32:My 74 year-old mother stayed in this hotel [I booked it for her]. Her health is not so good. However, the staff took care of her and were quite helpful, which I was relieved about. She needed the elevator. She ate breakfasts and both evening meals in the dining room and really liked the food. The co-owner gave us a tour of the lush garden behind the hotel, which was a treat [both the tour and the garden]. The owners have a passion for plants.
Review 33:The staff was very friendly and courteous. The accomadations were nice, including large parking lot. We did not need to search for parking which is common in some European cities.
Review 34:The comfort of the rooms, the food, the friendliness of the staff - pretty much everything!!!! One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and highly recommended for those who prefer comfort and value for money over luxury...
Review 35:It was very hot while we were there. The rooms are not air-conditioned and there were no fans. It did cool down at night, but you had to leave the windows open and there were no screens. But we would still stay here again.
Review 36:We loved everything about this hotel, from the gardens to the staff and the food. We were close enough to everything to walk, which was good for us as we are only traveling by train and bus. Would stay here again.

Review 38:The staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The facilities were excellent, and the rooms well maintained. The restaurant was outstanding, my wife and I both had delicious meals there. The location is very close to the city center, and parking was free and right next to the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
Review 39:Hotel was very clean in a quiet location. Breakfast was OK.
