The hotel’s heated swimming pool as well as the newly created Vitalis Beauty & Wellness center offers relaxation and recovery. There are several hiking trails around Weggis and the lake. The lake itself offers numerous possibilities for water sports. Or simply take a ride on the ship crossing the lake to Lucerne.

Review 1：Boutique hotel feeling - felt like I was staying at a cool designer friend's apt. great location- 2 minutes from the lake promenade and adjacent to great restaurants.

Review 2：Nothing to do with the hotel at all: ...but why do Audi make it so difficult to change a headlamp bulb...?!

Review 3：The staff were excellent, the facilities excellent, the food excellent and the location excellent. We couldn't have asked for more, aside from maybe being able to stay on for longer. Would definitely consider going back again - maybe in the summer months for a swim in the lake...

Review 4：A reduction in my score as it isn't air-conditioned which in 42degC heat it really could have been. It is also rather pricey, but then the entire weggis / vitznau region is very expensive.

Review 6：When a heat wave hits the area as it did on our trip, the hotel is extremely hot! We asked for a fan which helped a little; but with no cross ventilation, it was very uncomfortable! Also, we felt that the evening meals were very expensive.

Review 7：The location of the hotel is wonderful! It is right across the street from the Lido; and as a guest of the hotel, you get in free! The Lido has great swimming, diving platforms, grass, shade trees, and a snack bar. The hotel is lovely, and the staff is great! The terrace is a wonderful place for meals, and the indoor and outdoor pools and spa areas are very nice. Most of the rooms have a balcony with a lake view which is fabulous! The village of Weggis and the boat dock for the steamer that travels around the lake are about a 20- minute walk from the hotel.

Review 9：Hotel Alexander is a lovely hotel with a fantastic view. From our balcony we looked over the lake to the mountains. We ate several nights on the patio and the food was delicious and the staff was extremely helpful with language translations etc.

Review 10：A bit of a walk into the main part of town but not too too far. No A/C in bedroom so a bit too warm but not unbearable if you keep balcony door open. Did not experience Mosquitos but heard there could be.

Review 11：Excellent staff - sooo friendly. Great hotel to stay in as an alternative to the pricey park Weggis (we were in town to attend a wedding at that hotel) because right next door. Gorgeous view of the lake from all rooms (at least it seems).

Review 12：The service of the staff was excellent, great breakfast, great fitness facilities, 2 swimming pools (outside and inside), free bikes to discover the neighbourhood, lovely view, beach in front of the hotel.

Review 14：The design and situation - directly on the Lake, lake swimming, diving board, clean water for swimming, excellent restaurant, large and comfortable beds and pillows, charming staff, free internet, large balconies with perfect view, calm and peaceful surroundings, close to the pier for boat trips to Lucern, 50minutes from Zurich airport.

Review 16：hotel was modern and clean view from room and balcony was amazing - just stunning to wake up to. staff were friendly and helpful - i got shown to my room and made sure i was happy with it - i can't remember the last time that happened at a hotel. the other family owned hotel - the Gerbi - is right next door, they share a spa facility. and the gerbi has a more casual restaurant. The spa facilities are lovely to unwind in after a long day on the motorbike. room was comfortable and quiet and again - that location is amazing! can't wait to go back.

Review 17：I am 8 months pregnant and was meeting my best friend from the US there for only 24hrs. We sat outside the indoor pool area for a few moments so that I could open up gifts and a senior staff member was very upset and asked us to move. I thought she was very rude.

Review 18：Our room was cosy, excellent beds, staff was fantastic. Beautiful view. Nice spa.

Review 19：Not having a grab rail adjacent to the shower area of the bath making it insecure getting in and out for elderly people - like us. My wife would also recommend a mirror over the desk, to be able to plug in and use hot brush.

Review 20：Spacious room, with lovely views from balcony. Great location, and enjoyed the pool and lido. We had dinner in the hotel during our stay, because the cuisine and menus were so very good, and enjoyed the option of eating in the dining room, or on the terrace. All staff were, friendly, charming and always helpful - one of our best holidays.

Review 21：Dinner was poor, and nobody really cares. Wiener Schnitzel was like a bubble gum. The floors are old and very traditional. The rooms are okay.

Review 26：- sliding door on the bathroom, needs more privacy when on the toilet - no breeze in the room - a little more help with local restaurants - forgot to put flowers in the room but not a big problem

Review 28：Hotel staff didn't change the bed linens each day. No air conditioning. Front desk staff billed us in Euros, rather than Swiss Francs without telling us that their own "special" exchange rate was about five or six percent higher than the going exchange rate. Kind of left us with a bad impression.
