Reviews for Blüchertal

Review 1:It's a bit of a ways from the rest of Bacharach, probably about a 20-30 minute walk (uphill coming from town). There's no in-town public transportation (it's a tiny town) but the kindness of the staff makes the walk worth it.

Review 2:The staff was really great here. We got into town much earlier than check-in but Elena let us put our bags in our room and even offered us breakfast. The room was nice and the hotel itself was very charming. The day we checked out, we had to leave an hour earlier than breakfast started, but the staff prepared us a special breakfast for just the two of us. We felt like royalty :)

Review 3:Fabulous breakfast and staff were very pleasant. A little far from the town. Walkable but a hard down/uphill. Too difficult for us so we had to drive down.

Review 4:Excellent transit to Vienna by bus and subway. Owner went out of his way to accommodate us, he is extremely friendly and has very good command of the English language.

Review 5:You enter the facility, after your first check in, through a long dark alley like walkway. If you come back late it is very dark. There are motion sensitive lights, but they don't come on until you are about 2/3 of the way in the dark.

Review 6:An older facility, but room was clean and we liked the history of this old hotel. Breakfast was very good and presented well.

Review 7:I didn't know you had to log in for the free WIFI, so I couldn't use my WIFI, just make sure you log in!!!

Review 8:Very friendly! The owner was so nice and carries the wine maker's family soul very well. I had to asked him for a little wine making tour which he was shy to say yes at first since his English was limited, (however my curiosity and enthusiasm must have been persuasive) A very true to heart wine, I am usually super allergic to white wines and would react to any sort of chemicals in the wine. But his wine actually made my body feel more grounded, warm and relaxed, which is surely a sign of it being excellent to anybody else's health! Excellent little garden! Excellent place! A nice 15-20 minutes scenic walk from town centre, going through vineyards on both side. Can not say more about how great the ingredients are at breakfast!!! Lovely experience! Make sure you ask to try their wines since he isn't much of a sales person!

Review 9:This bed and breakfast was an excellent choice. It was very clean and cozy. It is run by a delightful couple. Herman and Elena are excellent hosts and made us stay relaxed and worry free.We had a suite with two rooms, 4 beds for our family of 4. The suite was perfect: clean, cozy, nicely furnished, with excellent, new, modern bathroom and shower. We were amazed by how well the building was preserved and kept. Some parts of the building had been build in 16th century. It was the perfect stay and we would come back if we had a chance.

Review 10:Like most of Germany the staff don't speak english.

Review 11:WiFi.quiet on the backside.friendly staff. I didn't feel the rooms were worth the money. I did like it being out of town but I had a car.

Review 12:Beautiful old place lovely presentation A great spot to stay. Just a 15 minute picturesque walk to Bacharach to find an amazing village with a ruin, castle church and of course the Rhine, and so many great restaurants. In particular the Post Hof, well and truly recommend this place for a meal and a nice drop of local wine.

Review 13:Not the best bed.

Review 14:Our room had a backdoor to a nice grassed area, lovely and sunny in the morning, cool and shady in the afternoon/evening. Very good breakfasts.

Review 15:They can not speak English,it is a little difficult to communicate with them.

Review 16:The house is a old house ,it's very beautiful. The owner are very nice.Breakfast is very good .Wifi is also ok.They changed a very big and nice room for us because something wrong with our toilet .

Review 17:Not really within walking distance of Bacharch (with kids). No restaurants nearby for dinner. The hotel had a lovely garden but the only door to access it locked once you went out it. Parking was a public lot, but filled up quick in the evenings.

Review 18:Nice clean hotel, quiet (if your room is on the backside of the building). Good breakfast. Friendly German speaking staff. Public playground 2 lots from hotel.

Review 19:To far of a walk to main town. Only one restaurant near by. Rooms close to the road are noisy from traffic even when windows are closed.

Review 20:Great breakfast w/assigned seating. Very clean and friendly staff.

Review 21:It was a little longer walk from the hotel into the old town than we thought (15 min) but nice walk, felt very safe. Owner speaks pretty much no English.

Review 22:Nice breakfast, large comfy rooms with outdoor patio. Hotel restaurant was closed but owner recommended one down the road on the way walking into town that was great - ate there 2 nights and bought wine from the vintner as well. Free parking always nice.

Review 23:1. Breakfast rolls were reheated; OK first 2 mornings but a bit over reheated on the third. 2. A raw sewage smell in room, dissipated within a minute of opening windows. 3. Not a negative for us but could be for others, the hotel is 2km uphill from town. For us a nice 15 minute pre and post dinner stroll.

Review 24:1. The rooms were modern. Room 25, a triple, had an enclosed shower and large hot tub. 2. Wi-Fi Internet was good. 3. Breakfast was typical German; rolls, meats, cheeses, fruits, juices, coffee and tea. 4. Large bath towels, wash clothes and replaced each day (not typical for Europe). 5. Very little traffic and noise. 6. Parking just across the street. 7. Very clean. 8. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. 9. Great location to see the Rhine River and nice town with numerous restaurants.

Review 25:You shared the terrasse with the the neighbours

Review 26:Nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff.

Review 27:Good location for walking down to Bacharach and up to Stahleck castle.Nice restaurant 10 minutes walk away

Review 28:Nice place with friendly staff. Comfy beds, powerful shower, nice breakfast.

Review 29:Just a bit too far from Bacharach town. Very basic.

Review 30:Good bed, quiet location, good wifi connection.

Review 31:friendliness and attentiveness of owners and staff

Review 32:Cleanliness, quietness. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Review 33:As it was raining during our stay, the distance from town center made walking down to dinner uncomfortable.

Review 34:The internet codes made Wi-Fi a little difficult.

Review 35:The staff was good, but English was a little rusty. We made it work though, as he was VERY friendly. Rooms were clean and they were VERY accommodating at breakfast, which was great! The selection was good and always supplied. Ours was a triple room with 3 beds and medium sized. It was two rooms, with a door dividing the three beds (2+1). The beds were all twins, but very comfortable. Wi-Fi was reliable, but access was not simple (code required) and it does kick you off easily. The bathroom was VERY nice with a LARGE tub and a nice shower. Parking was in a lot across the street, but there was always room.

Review 36:Nothing

Review 37:Small hotel, the staff was very nice and friendly, even if they did not speak much English. If German is your first language, I could see the couple running the place were extremely friendly to the guests. The room was spacious, simply but comfortably furnished and the bathroom was large, new and pristinely clean. Location was good if you have a car, but a little far away (~2.5Kms) from Bacharach.

Review 38:Great location; off the beaten path just enough to be quiet, yet close enough to walk/drive into Bacharach and the Rhine River. Easy to get to Rhine cruise. Delicious breakfast -- friendly staff noticed none of us drank coffee and so offered us hot tea.

Review 39:Stipulated on web sight that we were vegetarian however on the first and last days of our stay the meats and cheese selection were put together and I do not think that the cheese was vegetarian, either.

Review 40:Had a room which was larger than normal with good large bathroom facilities. The buffet breakfast was ample for our needs.

Review 41:The owners were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was extremely clean and being just outside the main town very quiet and peaceful. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was very worthwhile and enjoyable. A tour of the owners winery was very interesting.

Review 42:The hotel is a bit far away from the city (20-25 min walking). For us was not a problem since we enjoy looking at the vineyard and the flowers of the houses in the street.

Review 43:Very nice hotel near the beautiful city of Bacharach. The bedroom was big and nice decorated with and ancient style, respecting the ambiene of the village. The bathroom was provided by a big bath and shower. We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.

Review 44:Comfortable large room. Able to purchase locally produced wine at the hotel (which proved to be quite delicious). Convenient and quiet spot. Nice breakfast.

Review 45:Nothing. Loved this place and would stay again.

Review 46:We had a triple room which ended up having 2 bedrooms in it. This wasperfect so we could put our child to bed without us having to go to bed.The rooms were beautiful and spacious with big bathroom. The staf waswonderful and extremely helpful. This hotel is up the hill from the oldtown which was nice to get away from traffic and crowds. They also maketheir own wine which is very good!

Review 47:It was farther from the center of town than we thought it would be but we had a car so it was not a problem. It would have been walkable but the way home would have been an uphill walk the whole way.

Review 48:The breakfast was wonderful and the owner was very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Review 49:It was a bit far away from Bacharach center itself, but perfectly doable. By car was only 2m and I noticed bus stops in the area, though I didn't take any public transportation during my stay. For people comming from the train station though, might be quite a walk

Review 50:The rooms were simple but comfortable. Big bed, extra coverts in the closet, a balcony (communal) facing the mountains, good shower, towels and toiletries provided. The breakfast, which was included, was abudant and good. The staff spoke little english but were very efficient and friendly, so with a bit of dedication communication is possible. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are several in the same street. Parking places available.

Review 51:A traditional Weingut providingclean, comfortable accommodation, friendly service at a good price. Situated away from the noise of the main road and railway which run alongside the Rhine. 10 minute walk to town centre.

Review 52:About 1.5 km to centre of old town so best if have a car

Review 53:Friendly staff, rooms cleaned each day, free parking nearby, restaurantnearby, Wi-fi access to a common room but not to all rooms, good price

Review 54:We were the only people staying in the hotel but we warmly welcomed by the owner who spoke no English but we all managed to get by. The rooms were simply but immaculately clean and well presented. Quite a walk down into the town for restaurants and bars. Breakfast was excellent and a huge spread just for 5 of us!!! Our room for 3 was actually 2 adjoining rooms which was great with a huge bathroom with large corner bath and separate shower cubicle. A lovely stay in a large old rambling hotel - which we would have loved to explore!

Review 55:Good breakfast, great bathroom.

Review 56:TV very small. Could not see properly. Rather dated decor in the rooms.

Review 57:Good breakfast and friendly owners

Review 58:Breakfast cost $, out of the way location

Review 59:Friendly staff, free wifi, nice bathroom, comfortable room

Review 60:Very kind and hospitable hosts. Extremely clean and well serviced. Good fresh breakfast.

Review 63:No restaurant no bar too far from Baccarach

Review 64:Very friendly staff, great breakfast and great location.

Review 65:We loved our stay. The owners are very nice and the location is perfect for sightseeing. They serve a delicious breakfast.

Review 66:The hotel was very clean and well taken care of. The breakfast was very good. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. We would recommend this hotel.

Review 67:The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is very old and atmospheric. The wines and breakfast were excellent!

Review 68:The "hotel" was a little difficult to find.

Review 69:I liked the area and the charm of an old "Heurigen" style Inn. It was a perfect fit for a Medieval Town.

Review 70:Great room. Very friendly staff. Delicious breakfast.

Review 71:No concerns.

Review 72:Friendly staff and good location.

Review 73:In the room it was very cold. And if you don't have a car it is far from the city 2km

Review 74:The owner is very friendly, and the breakfast was great.
