Reviews for Tiki Shores Condominium Beach Resort
Review 1:They lost half of our reservation for my parent's anniversary, only one room had been reserved and the second room that we were expecting was apparently already booked by other people before we made our reservation online with booking.com. The front desk people blamed 3rd party booking and did not accept any fault. First replacement room was trashed, second room had a malfunctioning cable box and no one was available to fix it.
Review 2:The TV didn't work in the first room, so was moved to a 2 bedroom, no problems, no hassles.
Review 3:The kitchen facilities make it worthwhile, and the actual bedroom as a separate space.
Review 4:Sparse furnishings; could use a second bed end-table with a lamp.
Review 5:we liked the location. The room was sufficient but spartan. we appreciated the room service.
Review 6:The walls are a little thin and we could hear our neighbours' voices and TV (even though they were talking only at normal volume). However, it was okay as it was not very loud and all noise stopped before midnight.
Review 7:We liked the location as we were just across the road from the lake and we enjoyed walks along the waterfront. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped (stove, fridge, microwave, coffee-pot, dishes, pots & pans). The suite was very clean. The bathroom was well supplied with towels, soap, shampoo etc.
Review 8:Bed needs replacing; leaf blower started up at 9:30 AM and was quite loud and prompted us to leave (maybe that's what they were going for?)
Review 9:Location and view
Review 10:Bed linens were clean but all the rest was pretty grimy. If it was "cleaned" before our arrival then it was done with dirty water. We got our own disinfectant and soap and scrubbed the kitchen area and washed all the dishes and fridge before use. Patio door didn't lock, it had a broom handle in the bottom track for "security"
Review 11:Location was great, right across from the beach and beautiful views. Was nice to be able to make our own meals rather than have to eat out, especially as there is no Starbucks nearby.
Review 12:Mattress a bit soft. Kettle & toaster operating at 75% , will need to be replaced soon.
Review 13:Convenient location, nice swimming pool, gas fired barbecue with common area to enjoy your meal. Kitchenette provided with utensils, microwave, hot plate, toaster & kettle.
Review 14:We picked Tiki Shores because of it's proximity to the beach and restaurants along Lakeshore Drive. You can't beat the location! The rooms were clean and a good size. The manager went out of her way to accommodate our requests at check in and even moved us to a bigger room because we decided we wanted two bathrooms. Overall a great experience!
Review 15:I enjoy seeing and feeling everything about that beachfront location and all the people .....it's unique! I have been coming to this beach for over 50 years and the Tiki Shores reminds me so much of traditional Penticton beachfront motels.....it's a treasure.
Review 16:There is only one armchair to relax in. I was by myself but I guess that for a couple it would be useful to have two, or a love seat.
Review 17:The location is perfect, right across from the beach. The studio is very functional for 2. New bed ! I like the choice of colors, pale almond green for the walls and immaculate white bedding. Very pretty presentation of towels and bathroom supplies.
Review 18:The bed was noisy and not very comfortable. When you sat on the end, it tipped forward a bit. Although I was right beside the wifi, most of my devices lost it's signal frequently and constantly had to reset it. The kitchen could use a few more essentials, like paper towels, salt and pepper. The bathroom did not have very good lighting. These were little things, all in all, I would definitely stay there again.
Review 19:Friendly, helpful staff, front desk, maintenance and cleaning. Although it was not warm, I still enjoyed being on the waterfront and walked around the area. Room was spacious and clean. Everything worked well. Walking distance to a couple restaurants, even in the winter, more in the summer. I would recommend this place.
Review 20:That I hadn't found the Tiki Shores before this. I will be going back. It's an annual affair, don't you know.
Review 21:The BarBQue got used, there were enough dishes in the kitchen, the beds were super comfy, the sheets were crisp and clean. We would have used the in-room hot tub if we had time. The attached patio was private enough. We were two parties and we each had private rooms. Did I mention the great value of our nightly rate? I liked that the most. The Thai Restaurant next door was sublime...
Review 22:The city of Penticton do not care for of season visitors or they would be patrolling the beaches and enforcing the bylaws that they have in place. We where kept up most of the night with parties.
Review 23:The view was great and staff went out of there way to help us in any way they could.
Review 24:TV was so small, you couldn't watch it without standing in front of it. It was smaller than a 15 inch laptop. Asked to get it changed and they said no. We stayed there for a week.
Review 25:I liked the area and staff
Review 26:In our wine tasting group. We booked three rooms. The cleaning staff forgot to replace fresh towels one day so two rooms received a discount. Upon check in the office couldn't find our reservation even though it was made , and our computer verifies this, through Bookings.com. Our room was suitably equipped with two of everything only, knives dull and useless, one wine glass, one flute glass. Three stools to perch on, but not one chair. Supposedly the yearly high rate for June 29 -Sept.3 is $170.00/night. We are prepared to spend more and stay elsewhere next year.
Review 27:An excellent location. Staff helpful to make things right. Fair value for money spent.
Review 28:There was just one bedside table and lamp, which limited placement for toiletries and late-night reading. Two small stools and a bench were provided for meals, although other appartments had a table and chairs.
Review 29:Tiki Shores is just across the street from Lake Okanagan. We had a ground floor appartment which was valeted each day to a high standard. The heated outdoor pool was excellent and there was a small garden/barbecue area for guests to use. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, overall our stay was good value for money.
Review 30:It was just steps away from the lake not far from Main Street the staff was excellent and the food at the restaurant was nice. A good holiday experience
Review 31:Staff reception was friendly however they are not also available and had to wait for them to return from breaks. The bed and the sofa bed were both really uncomfortable...the sofa bed was actually better than the double bed....my friend and I both woke up with sore backs every night.
Review 32:I loved the free parking, free wifi, pool with chairs, BBQ facilities, really clean and well maintained, sheets/bedding was terrific, had all the kitchen supplies needed, café, ice on site, close to Naramata Bench, close to the Penticton Channel, across from the beach, and easy access to the highway.
Review 33:It was out dated old mattress very little cooking utensils no table to sit at
Review 34:All was good. Thanks.
Review 35:They upgraded our room. Had a view of the lake!

Review 40:Liked the location.
Review 41:Iron in the laundry room.
Review 42:I like the modern decor and balcony.
Review 43:The double bed in the bedroom made sleeping cramped. A bigger bed would have been more comfortable.
Review 44:The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 45:Basic room, lots of night time (party) noise

Review 85:it was really close to the park and the beach & the great new swimming pool handy for nice leisurely walks on the beach front and along the canal.... easy access from car to motel unit the best we were able to have our dog with us.....
Review 86:I found the room was a little in disrepair and worn. The bed would not stay seated on the foundation and it seemed you would fall out of the bed.
Review 87:I really enjoyed the fact that the motel was located so close to the lake.
Review 88:The walls are quite thin and the first night we had people partyinguntil 1:00 A.M.
Review 89:The room was extremely clean. I had reserved a studio and we wereupgraded to a 1 bedroom. Excellent.
Review 90:The fact that the cleaning staff left the door to my room open. If I hadn't come back because I forgot something I would have been gone all day and the door was left ajar.
Review 91:Location was great between the view of the lake and an easy walk to shops bars and eateries
Review 92:Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely lake views and the added bonus of a barbeque on our balcony.
