Review 1：There was only a staff member at the desk when we arrived and I had to pay for the room right away and not in the morning. The carpets in the hallways and rooms were filthy. There was no staff around after we checked in at all. The bed were extremely soft. There was no one there in the morning to check out and see if we were satisfied not even at the front desk we had to drop the key in a box. Very dissatisfied.

Review 17：It was advertised as a room with 1 Queen/King bed. The room actually had 2 beds in it 1 double and 1 larger double with very limited space between the beds and the wall, so the person on the inside of the bed had to climb out the bottom of the bed!

Review 25：The room had NO amenities, not just no shampoo, but not even a little bar of soap to wash your hands with. The breakfast was bread and buns and a toaster. The muffins had even been cut in half to discourage you from having a whole one. There was no protein, not even peanut butter for the toast, or yogurt. It's like they did everything the cheepest way possible.

Review 39：The sofa bed sagged so much that it partially wrapped around our son. No support. Our mattress must have been an original from opening date. Room definitely needed to be updated as rug was stained. Microwave was 10+ years old and was originally white. It was yellowing. Definitely not $159.00 room plus tax per night room.

No protein, not even egg or peanut butter. So so not depend on breakfast or wifi. Walls are thin so could hear crying/ whining kids in another room. Shower made loud squeaky noise.

Review 48：We stayed 3 nights and had to request that our bed get made by day 2. There was no refrigerator in the unit. The mattresses are older however they were comfortable enough.

You're literally complaining over $.75. For a free motel breakfast. I think you're expecting too much, my socialistic neighbors :)

Review 53：Have stayed in this hotel many times when coming to this area. Great location, across from beach and mini golf, 10 minute drive to Coombs market. Great for a day trip to Tofino, can leave early and come back in evening. Continental breakfast is free and satisfactory.

Review 54：The rooms were clean, but they still had a bit of a mess from previous guests under the bed. Could have used a better vacuuming. The breakfast wasn't anything special. Cereal, juice, coffee, the basics. A self making waffle machine would have been awesome!!

Review 73：Room on booking,com advertised as having outside furniture..(queen room). We were given a room on the second floor but outside furniture is only in the ground floor rooms. Not a problem though as we were immediately given a choice of 2 other rooms.We choose a room with a bed settee for more room. Big room,immaculate and all items needed for kitchenette...tea towels,washing up liquid etc.Staff very accommodating,set up the BBQ for us.

The check-in clerk didn't really know what he was doing....had to ask someone else twice, then ended up making a mistake on the cost of the room that had to be rectified. As this was our anniversary get-away we would have liked a room with a view, but ended up on the ground floor looking at a board fence.

Review 114：The Sandcastle Motel is older and really could use some paint and new carpets ( vinyl) . The beds were comfortable and even though our room faced the main road we slept well and were not bothered by noise . The breakfast is Mcdonald's muffins, croissants, apples and coffee . Some hard boiled eggs, peanut butter or yogurt would have been nice . Straight carbs is not a great start to the day.Staff member was very helpful when we needed some napkins in our room . The small kitchenette was perfect for a couple nights . A small fridge with freezer to keep food cold. Dishes and glasses to use for snacks or take out food.

Review 115：The proximity to the Island Highway was a bit noisy. I just used the fan in the room to counteract it. The sheets were paperthin and need to all be replaced. That was my biggest complaint. I thought I was going to tear them when I pulled on them.

Review 116：The complimentary continental breakfast and having access to coin laundry were great for my 10 day stay. The kitchenette was well equipped and the rooms were cleaned every day. Made use of the display of pamphlets and the information binder in room. The frig was a good size and so was the room. Loved that I could walk to shopping and ocean boardwalk.
