Reviews for Steeger Tal

Review 1:Their wasnt anything to dislike here! all good ! : )

Review 2:This is the second time staying here the German Owners who also speak great english are very welcoming, our room was amazing with loads of space and romantic balcony looking out over the gardens, lovely traditional German breakfast, the hotel is very peaceful , nothing is too much trouble, perfect hosts, fantastic location for day trips to other moselle valley towns, we will with out doubt be back to stay for a 3rd year thats for sure, Thank you :)

Review 3:Very friendly and helpful couple. Few problems with the Internet as only able to pick this up from the bathroom for a limit few hours.

Review 4:Loved the village of Bacharach. Steeper Tal excellent for backpacking and hiking but we needed to use the car due to the gradient of the hill to go to the village.

Review 5:We were greeted personally by the owner, treated like valued customers, and had an enjoyable stay. Steeger Tal is on the outskirts of town, but it's a very nice, quiet, and clean home.

Review 6:Early October, apartment was cold and heating was intermittent. Living area was a sofa/coffee table in the main bedroom

Review 7:Owners spoke some English Spacious apartment Full size kitchen Modern bathroom Balcony

Review 8:Wonderful stay. We came in on a red eye flight. Although we were very early for check in they allowed us to come in early. Friendly and very helpful! Would highly recommend Steeger Tal ? The hikes in the hills are right at the front door :-)

Review 9:Nothing. Just note that one probably needs a car to fully enjoy the place. While Bacharach centre is within a pleasant 30-minut walk, the way back is an uphill slog.

Review 10:We stayed in the two-bedroom apartment downstairs and it was a perfect choice! Despite the heat wave, with temperatures reaching 32-34 C for a couple of days, it was really cool in the apartment throughout our stay thanks to its sun-curtains! The apartment was extremely large and clean and it had a well-equipped kitchen. The location was very quiet, but quite convenient for sightseeing the region, with easy access to both the Rhine valley and to the motorway allowing longer trips (e.g. to Cologne or Burg Eltz). Despite warnings from the owner that wifi does not work in the apartment, we were actually able to use it, although the signal was strong only in a single place near the balcony door. Finally, we could enjoy all the above for the price similar to what you normally pay for a small double room in Germany, which makes the place a real bargain. Definitely, it was one of my best bookings ever made through the Booking.com

Review 11:none

Review 12:quiet.

Review 13:Peaceful and quiet but located 2 kms uphill.

Review 14:Staff was great, very friendly and happy to serve. The location was at the edge of town away from the busy areas, but close enough for a lovely walk down the main street into Bacharach. I would certainly recommend that others visiting Bacharach consider staying here. If I'm ever in the area again I'll likely be a repeat customer.

Review 15:We rented a very large, well equipped and comfortable apartment, run by a friendly couple who were very helpful. The pension is located in Steeg, a quiet suburb of Bacharach and we loved the tranquillity there. We also loved the balcony where we could enjoy our breakfasts and dinners. Another plus for us was that we could start hiking right outside the door of the pension, where you can access a couple of hiking trails. The free wifi came in handy as did the "help yourselves" fridge with budget friendly drinks.

Review 16:Our ground floor apartment was impossible to keep warm as the weather was cold and wet during our stay.

Review 17:The full kitchen facility comes in very usefull for our 4 night stay. The surrounding was very peaceful, sound of running water from the stream at the back of the property was soothing.

Review 18:Location not within walking distance of the main part of Bacharach Tiny bathroom and no toiletries Definitely dated furniture, linens, towels

Review 19:In quiet location. Free parking Not far from the Rhein and main part of Bacharach, Germany Spacious room (tiny bathroom) Decent breakfast

Review 20:The wifi didn't work in our room. The welcome could have been more friendly, but that might have been a language problem mostly.

Review 21:Quiet location close to the attractive village of Bacharach. The room had a very nice view.

Review 22:It was a 30 to 40 minute walk into town. If you have a car there is great parking.

Review 23:Since it was an apartment I liked the fact that the kitchen had everything we needed. Also, it was nice that the TV had CNN in English.

Review 24:Everything in the hotel is very and very basic including very poor breakfast. I don't understand why it has the whole 3 stars, that really bewildered me when I decided to stay there. Frankly speaking after spending a night in that pension I wouldn't give it even one star. The owner of the hotel asked for the money as soon as we entered the room and he refused to get the payment by a credit card, "cash, only cash!". He promissed that he would give us a receipt in the morning but actually he didn't until we asked him openly to do so. Overall impression was that he didn't look like a very polite person. The room was small, old furniture, partly broken wardrobe, there wasn't even a glass to drink water, small bathroom that was illuminated by a single tiny lamp over a sink. Wi-fi connection suddenly stopped working at 11 p.m. and didn't become alive until the morning.

Review 25:Cash only payment option. Internet connection turns off at 11:00 pm on two nights and even 10:00 pm on the other night. Got to have your own car.

Review 26:Quiet rural sitting. Free parking. Friendly staff.

Review 27:Wifi did not reach to downstairs apartment.

Review 28:Very quiet, lovely renovated bathroom, and spacious living areas.

Review 29:Not so much didn't like, but staff seemed a bit shy. Perhaps a little more "gushing " would help.

Review 30:Very clean, modern presentation.

Review 31:dirty,no welcome, small room. small breakfast. no internet.

Review 32:nothing

Review 33:Bacharach is the cutest town. Very charming.

Review 34:Nice location,friendly staff(they`re family)

Review 35:Friendly unspoilt wine producing town on the Rhine with good walking.

Review 36:It's too far from the center of town and the train station.

Review 37:It was nice and quiet, very peaceful.

Review 38:Quiet, lovely location with friendly staff.
