Reviews for Patagonia Atiram Hotel

Review 1:We had very noisy neighbours who insisted in smoking a combination of things, the smoke/smell coming into our room from the gap in the adjoining door. The culprits had no regard for anyone, we reported the problem, one time me having to go to the night porter 4.35am. We got offered to move room, but the culprits were leaving the next day, so we stayed put. The rooms are too warm! We paid a much higher price for our stay this time, being there for NYE and felt it was v expensive, but if you get a deal as we did last year well worth going to! The toiletries and tea and coffee never got replenished once in our room during our week stay and one bin unemptied for 3 days we never complained, had we, then maybe it would have been put right!

Review 2:Excellent location, and food decent.

Review 3:We have stayed at the Patagonia four times now, over a number of years. It's perfectly located for the ski lift up to the Arinsal ski area. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we love the hotel reception and bar area where we chill out and relax after a day's skiing.

Review 4:There were school groups staying at the hotel which caused problems at mealtimes as it wasn't possible to fit everyone in the dining room. The meals were ok but it did feel like being back in the school cafeteria.

Review 5:The best thing about this hotel is the location next to the chair lift

Review 6:Bit too hot in the room for us. We had to keep opening the door out onto the balcony to cool down.

Review 7:Wonderful staff, organised a cake for my mother's 60th birthday. It was a big surprise and they gave us a complimentary bottle of chanpagne too. We had a great time.

Review 8:We didn't enjoy the breakfast very much. Average breakfast compared to the rest of the hotel. Scrambled egg wasn't nice. We also left change(1euro) on our bed locker and it was gone after the cleaners had been in. So we left more on the locker on purpose the following day (2euro) and it was gone again. This upset us a little.

Review 9:Reception stay were brilliant. Very helpful.hotel was always clean. Loved how close the hotel was to the slopes.

Review 10:Perfect location for a ski vacation. You can ski to 50 metres from the entrance and just cross the parking lot to get to the hotel. The hotel, although a 3 star, was very tastefully built and set up. We were very comfortable there. Great bar area with fireplace. Rooms are large and all have a kitchenette and balcony. Would definitely recommend. Tatiana contacted us before our arrival and was very welcoming, helping us with extra details such as ski rentals and lift passes.

Review 11:The walk into town

Review 12:we were put on the fourth floor opposite the kitchen, horrendous experience room rate should be halved

Review 13:Walk up the hill after a few social nights out!

Review 14:Great location for ski lift, staff lovely and polite. Good breakfast selection and decent size room

Review 15:Great hotel, great location,

Review 16:Very friendly staff and comfortable hotel. Great location as it is only one minute away from the ski lift, equipment rental and restaurants.

Review 17:Exellent large room. Very friendly English speaking staff. Good choice of food.Hotel very near Ski lift. Quiet location. Looking forward to visiting again next year.

Review 18:the system for getting a table in the restaurant was a bit hit and miss as you had to wait at the door to get a table and if you werent quick enough you had to wait for a call , would be a better system if it had 3 sittings

Review 19:Friendly staff location for ski lift

Review 20:We booked one twin room and one double, which we confirmed in an email. Unfortunately, we were given two twin rooms. Also, the wifi didn't reach all of the rooms.

Review 21:- Location - Free parking - Good choice of breakfast - Large room - Views

Review 22:The hotel really needs to provide a shuttle bus for its guests (all other hotels provide one but this one didn't). The transport network is really bad and it's extremely difficult to get away from the hotel as taxis are also nearly impossible to get as they come from the main city in Andorra and cost EUR 12 just to call! As I said, the hotel really needs to sort out the transport situation especially for guests without cars.

Review 23:The staff were very attentive and friendly. This is what really makes it special, as well as the location right next to the ski life/slope.

Review 24:Free wifi but only in the lobby

Review 25:Location is great if you go to ski, big room, big free parking. Thank you guys for a late breakfast and for a corkscrew at 3am ;)

Review 26:Not having wifi throughout the hotel, only in the bar. The descriptionof the room as an apartment when it costs a additional 20€ per day touse the hob and to hire the kitchen equipment. We used the microwave andfridge which is not charged extra and because we came by car we broughtour own kettle and crockery. Also the fridge was not clean when wechecked into the room. If you want to ski directly back to the hotel atthe end of the day, bear in mind that it is a 'tricky blue run'and not suitable for beginners, but you can come back down using the 4man chair lift but carrying your skis if you want. This is not a hotelwhich has a stunning night life, there is a big bar with a pool tableand lots of comfy sofas. A lovely (but loud) lady tries to get everyoneinvolved in the kids disco or the pool competition. The restaurantcalled Pampa down the road was amazingly bad - first time anyone hasasked me how I want my chicken cooked!!!!

Review 27:Proximity to the chair lift. The choice at breakfast. The helpfulness atreception. The size of the room and bathroom (having a seperate toiletis always useful). The very comfortable sofa-bed. The House keeping.

Review 28:Children's entertainer is highly annoying. The mini disco starts at9.30 until 10.45 and it completely consumes the bar and reception area.It is unbearably loud and seems to be only for the benefit of herself. The only way to escape it is to go up to your room or leave the hotel! At best we saw no more than 3-4 young children joining in on oneoccasion yet the same repetitive songs are blasted out every night. Iwould like to enjoy a nice relaxing drink after a hard day skiing butthis was just not possible. I have children myself and am all forkeeping them entertained but this was way too late and totallyinappropriate.

Review 29:With out a doubt the best thing about this hotel is the location. Nomore than fifty yards away from the ski lift.

Review 30:Remote location uphill from Arinsal's center (20 min walking).

Review 31:Good 3* hotel, located 60 yards from the chairlift that brings you to the base of the slopes. You may also come back by ski from the slopes using a "summer road" which ends to the chairlift. Good food. You may choose between BB and HB, but I recommend HB as the hotel is remote from Arinsal's center and restaurants. You can get free ski locker (20 EUR deposit) in the hotel's garage. Ski equipment hire available next door to Crest Hotel. Big parking (can get busy during week end).

Review 32:The lobby bar was only open from 4pm so on days when the slopes wereclosed, there wasn't anywhere to get a drink. The hotel has freewifi but it was only available in the lobby. The hotel is located at thetop of a hill so not so great for tired legs (good for burning thecalories) so if you want to eat out in town it's a 10min walk to theaction. We didn't mind so much but might be a deal-breaker forothers which is why I mentioned it.

Review 33:The hotel was very clean and hospitable. The breakfast buffet had a goodvariety - something for the vegetarians that wasn't just toast andcereal. The location was great for the slopes- right by a chairlift andyou could ski straight down to it. A lovely lobby where you could relax. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke very good English. Althoughwe didn't use the kitchenette faculties in our room, it was nice tohave an option to eat in.

Review 34:Food. Often just warm and not hot. A small upgrade on food quality wouldtransform my review.

Review 35:Convenient for slopes (nearby chairlift). Staff were great.

Review 36:The rooms are a little small and the beds a bit basic but acceptable ... unless you're hoping for a romantic stay.

Review 37:Location is spitting distance from a ski lift; although, you can't buy tickets/passes there. Hotel is a great value, in great condition with a good breakfast and very nice staff. It was nice having a sink, stovetop and fridge in the room.

Review 38:Nothing I didn't like.

Review 39:Staff appeared a bit aloof but once spoken to were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again. The breakfast was excellent.

Review 40:Food (especially dinner - you can and should do better & more withthe ingredients you use) Staff - although professional, they were notfully customer oriented (example, we were a party of 12 w/kids andalthough there was space to seat us all in one table with addition ofextra table to 2 tables, staff never allowed us this. This was very bad,in all hotels I've stayed with a big party like this the 1st thingthe staff does is to compose a table for the whole holidays where we canall sit together. This attention makes the difference). There were a fewmore examples showing the staff wouldn't go the extra mile.I will think twice staying at Husa again because of the 2 points above, food and staff not fully customer oriented. The positive points are very good but these 2 points above are really key

Review 41:Location, clean hotel, warm & comfortable

Review 42:That it gets booked up very quickly at New Year!

Review 43:Apart from being located right at the foot of the slopes it was veryeasy to get to and the staff and facilities were excellent.

Review 44:Evening buffet looked quite basic, pleased we were on b&b as found somegreat restaurants down the hill in the main village, half board stilllooked reasonable value though.

Review 45:Excellent location, best in the area, bit of a hill up to hotel but only5 mins from central bars and restaurants not enough to put you off atall, great breakfast; overall a very enjoyable stay.

Review 46:Coffee at breakfast was foul (- awful stuff from a machine, perhaps could have asked for real coffee though as there is a bar downstairs...). Could hear some noisy guests walking in the corridor (but only a problem if you are a really poor/light sleeper).

Review 47:Our room was very, very clean. Was pleased to find a mini-kitchen (hob, microwave-grill, fridge, plates, etc.) and dining table! Beds were comfortable and sofa was extremely confortable! Had a nice balcony, bathroom (with bath) was very clean and fairly spacious. Breakfast was decent with plenty of options. Hot water came out fine, and room was rather toasty. Only stayed one night so did not use other hotel facilities, but I would definitely stay here again!

Review 48:The sauna was not included in the room price, and this was not specifiedin the reservation,

Review 49:Great location, the rooms were very good and very clean. The breakfastand dinner were both great, lots of variety and frequent refills. Greatvalue for money.

Review 50:Hill back from town!

Review 51:Staff friendly Food decent Proximity to slopes

Review 52:Big room for the family (4 persons). Only 50 meters from the ski station.

Review 53:Unfortunately the hotel losts status "apart hotel" this year, cookware offered to buy for 12 Euro per day.

The Fine Print

Please note that use of the electric stove in the rooms incurs a charge of EUR 20 per day.A mandatory Gala Dinner is included in the room rate for stays on December 31st. The rates of the Gala Dinner are based on room type and occupancy.
