Reviews for Hôtel Le Président
Review 1:Pool was salt water; my kids often get rashes when they swim in chlorinated public pools. Water was perfect temperature.the bed was so comfortable and room was super clean.
Review 2:Ground floor rooms are overlooking the car park. Opening the curtains in the morning expecting a nice view but all I saw is the front of a huge 4x4 filling the full width of the window.
Review 3:clean, comfortable, friendly staff
Review 4:The hallways are dark, the path to the check in area and back to the rooms is not very practical. You need to carry your luggage down a stairway. The rooms are a little tight for two people.
Review 5:We like the location, ample parking, the breakfast area is very open and well lit. The pool is very big but the hours are odd.
Review 6:The room are good size but lack lightning. Still a few things need to be changed, old bathroom door from the original hotel, plastic plate on lightning switch date from mid century! Stairway carpet and wall covering needs to be changed in the east section, door in the swimming pool look outdated. Their check in check out system with card look a little bit old.
Review 7:The beds are great the location is easy for the University. The people are nice. The price is excellent.
Review 8:Front desk (male) staff rude from check in to check out and everything in between. Once it was ready (3:15), the room initially smelled like someone had recently used the rooms toilet to defecate (housekeeping staff?). Called front desk, indicated they would check reason for foul odor. Room was on 1st floor. On returning from a day out (10:00p.m.) we found the room to be odorless, but, the sliding glass door had not actually ever been closed/locked properly (safety concern). Checked belongings that had been left in room, all thankfully secure. Called front desk (again) for assistance. We were told that it was too late to have this issue addressed. With insistence in our request, a female desk clerk came to the room to try to close and lock the door. No luck; a 2nd female desk clerk returned, also no luck. Finally, after INSISTING that our room be made safe for our (3 night) stay, a maintenance man came to our room, slammed it shut and locked it, rendering it useless for the remainder of our stay. He did mention to us that the hotel mngmnt had been aware of this problem since a guest had driven his vehicle into the door during the winter, yet the room continued to be rented. (we have pictures) No contact from mngmnt or word of apology from anyone, although we were supplied with plenty of rudeness from front desk staff. Completed and returned comments card at check out. It's too bad that our 2nd stay at this hotel was so disappointing. Will not be a third!
Review 9:The queen beds in our room were fabulously comfortable.
Review 10:Our only negative was that our room was situated near the ice machine. Very noisy on occasion.
Review 11:staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel centrally located and very clean.
Review 12:some of your young front desk staff could use a lesson in manners ,etiquette and kindness when dealing with customers, especially customers who have been retunring for years.
Review 13:peace and quiet,
Review 14:Although I had a confirmation number through booking.com and I had emailed the hotel directly with a special request, when I arrived before 4:00 p.m. I was told that they only had one room available rather than the 2 rooms that I had reserved, because they had sold out. They stated that I had not confirmed the reservation with a credit card number to ensure that they would hold the rooms until we arrived. My credit card information was provided to booking.com but somehow not forwarded to the hotel. We took the one room at check in and at 9:00 p.m. we were given a second room, thankfully. I recommend that you call the hotel at least one day in advance to confirm that they have your credit card number to hold the room for you.
Review 15:Excellent quality, clean, beautiful view, nice pool and hot tub. I would definitely stay here again!
Review 16:No fan in bathroom and evening staffer gave me a hard time at front desk when I asked for extra pillows. I had to return them to the front desk myself at the end of the stay.
Review 17:We are early risers and would have preferred an earlier breakfast; however, the restaurant staff was very accommodating of our needs and got on our way in accordance of their normal timeline. It's too bad the restaurant is only open for breakfast.
Review 18:Every aspect of our one night stopover was very comfortable and the staff treated us very well.
Review 19:No tea in room( ? forgotten ),extra charge for second coffee in room( only $2,85 ,but still this is ridicule and quite irritating given the price of the room) but above all, scores of young teenagers running and yelling in corridors until 22:30 hres.( junior hockey teams apparently). You can forget about the pool in those curcumstances ...Do we have to ask the management about their clientele on a particular night before we go there?? Anyway, very poor consideration for other travellers. From the obvious post signs that we saw in the hotel ( room doors must be closed by 23:00 hres,no elevator floor banging ! )situation does not look unusual at all.
Review 20:location,good size room, cleanliness, free and easy parking
Review 21:Just few clients who were not able to respect the fact that they were not alone and phone ti=o their friends in the corridor at night. We didn't ask the staff to intervine because it was new year's eve. All this disagreement was not the fault of the hotel
Review 22:the pool
Review 23:Although breakfast is served at the hotel, it does not have a restaurant. We have to take the car for dinner. Sherbrooke has a good selection of good restaurants within 20 minutes from the hotel.
Review 24:Well located on King st., the main street of Sherbrooke. The hotel was easy to find. Room were very quiet despite its location on the main street. A good hotel when travelling with a young child. The pool was great during this cold day of winter.
Review 25:I booked online, and when I arrived to check in I was told they did not have a reservation for me. Also I would have appreciated being served in English, after speaking to the clerk in English.
Review 26:It was very comfortable an clean.
Review 27:1.cleaning, they used strong perfumes rug cleaners/deodorants.the smell catch in your throat when coming from fresh outside. 2.no pllactic bag in ice bucket.
Review 28:Staff was very nice and competent. They went out of their way to group our family parties to have rooms close together.
Review 29:We arrived about 8 pm. Checkin was quick and well managed. Our room was very nice and unfortunately we didnt have extra time to enjoy the pool and hottub. The staff was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.
Review 30:no restaurant on site, except for breakfast they offered breakfast vouchers, ($9.25) at the same price as the most expensive breakfast there - it would have been cheaper just to buy a la carte, and have the biggest meal if that's what you feel like at the time.
Review 31:easy to find right off the highway exit courteous staff
Review 32:Old people home smell in the halls and in the room. Mattress with bed sheet resting on the wall in the halway while room service preparing rooms as we walked by to our room. My wife notices a Q-tip under the bathroom sink. Found a hair in my sunny side up eggs for breakfast. Finally at checkout the clerk refused to give us out CAA discount because we booked with booking.com Other than that our stay was ok...
Review 33:Wi-fi Price Proximity to the City
Review 34:It smelled like cooked hotdogs/musty The door looked like someone had forced entry into the room at some point. The tub would not drain for my morning shower so had water up to my ankles…ew
Review 35:Room size
Review 36:Parking lights were out at the back, very dark. Sat. night we were locked out of the building and our room. We were charged more for Friday night stay and not told until check-out Sunday morning. We had ear-wigs (bugs) in the bath room. Total (with tax) we think that $152.00 a night is too much money. Next time we will look for another hotel.
Review 37:The location was good. Parking was good. Loved the pool and hot tub. Clean room Beautiful mattresses.
Review 38:No real complaints. It is not in the city centre, but this is not an issue in Sherbrooke.
Review 39:Perfectly good hotel, good amenities, large rooms, and value priced.
Review 40:Our room was very clean and the king-size bed astonishing comfortable. It was nice to have a swimming and whirl pool even if both weren't that big and a little bit less clean than the rest of the hotel. We appreciated that we got an immediate answer on our e-mail and that it was possible to get breakfast in the morning. For breakfast you could get almost anything, but I would suggest to be more flexible in changing or adding something to the menus because the price may allow it. To sum up, we can only recommend this hotel.
Review 41:No fan in bathroom. Staff could not communicate in english, the waitresses at breakfast or the cleaning staff (not even a little). Room numbers were not posted outside on ground level for parking purposes. No leisure restaurant/bar for dinner and/or relaxation.
Review 42:The room was comfortable and facility was accommodating, required to meet our needs.
Review 43:- decor is shabby, need to be upgraded - need to replace blankets on beds, are worn out and scratchy - air conditioning did not seem to work right, but windows do open
Review 44:- staff are friendly - rooms are a good size - clean - good location
Review 45:TV cable channels were scrambled so couldn't watch TV. Wi-Fi connected to tablet but not Windows laptop. Windows said it wasn't secured, but tablet asked for password. I don't understand what was wrong with the set up.
Review 46:modern clean rooms and comfortable beds
Review 47:A coupon was offered for breakfast. Usually when coupons are offered the breakfast is free but in your case it is not. However the price is lower, Guests should be told that the copon is a discount coupon on the breakfast. This way the guest does not expect a free breakfast.
Review 48:We liked the hotel. It was very quiet, clean and comfortable.
Review 49:The a/c rattled all night; My reservation had a glitch in their computer system; parking was extremely far from the door and we arrived very late (in the dark) so lighting was an issue.
Review 50:It was very clean; everything I could possible need was available.
Review 51:Breakfast not included. The only hotel where I did not sleep well: either too hot or a very noisy AC.
Review 52:Room OK. Indoor pool nice. Location convenient for travelling from USA to Canada. Just for stop-over.
Review 53:heating in the room - the fan was noisy and made for a very dry room.
