Review 1：Very clean and close to everything. Older property, but well taken care of. Loved the balcony overlooking the ocean. Reasonable rates compared to other accomodations in the area.

Review 3：Sliding door opens out to the beach! Lots of space in the room, even for a family of six. Hotel staff are super helpful with suggesting places and giving directions.
Review 4：The only thing that bothered us was the people who were at the fire pit were not respecting the quiet time, talking and laughing into the early hours of the morning. This may have been a one time only though.
Review 5：This is not a big hotel where you have to walk down hallways and ride on elevators to get out to the beach. Very relaxing.

Review 12：I have been to Parksville many, many times and usually stay with my parents. There weret three of us this time so we chose the Sea Edge. We were able to check in early and the look on my 13 year old's face when she saw the view was priceless. It was great to be able to prepare light meals in our room

Review 17：The door was poorly sealed. You could hear absolutely everything from the outside of the door/parking lot. Daylight shone through the space between the door and trim. The refrigerator took a long time to get cold, but when it did it froze 1/2 of our food.

Review 26：This hotel is right on the beach and has a beautiful view. With a small kitchen it is perfect to eat in. The bed was a little soft but everything else was good.

Review 29：My negative comments are from the point of view of a parent of 2 young children, one of whom is in a wheelchair. I hadn't seen anywhere to specify needing wheelchair access when booking and had figured that a motel that charges $200/night would at least have an elevator. I was shocked when I arrived to find that neither could I have a ground floor suite but that there was no elevator. The receptionist was quite rude to me when I expressed my displeasure and shock. She said I should have specified it and if I had I wouldn't have gotten in anyways as they were booked early. While I was checking in someone else came in as well and the same receptionist was quite abrupt and rude to him as well.

Nothing fancy here but a million dollar view on a stunning beach with lots for kids to do. Walking distance to 'downtown' Parksville. I can see why families have been coming back for 40+ years.

Review 90：I found the wifi was slow...I have a new tablet and it had to keep buffering. Also, the toilet was leaking out onto the bathroom floor. I didn't like getting my feet wet early in the morning. I had to wait until the cleaners came the next day to get decaf coffee for the room because the night lady did not know where it was kept.

Owners make you feel welcomed and very helpful. This is a gem in hiding and should not be overlooked because there is no star rating. We will return for sure.

Couldn't reallly use the balcony because theres no proper division between... when neighbours were sitting on their balcony you're literally right beside them. Even when inside room and balcony door was open you could hear comlete conversations. Also we were placed just above a group of families who were gathering and they dominated the space below in the yard... very noisy as voices and sound carried easily. Would have been nice to be placed closer to other mature individuals rather than amongst such a large group of families.

Review 124：I like the location. The Sea Edge is not new but it is clean and warm. The patio doors open onto the lawn with the beach beyond, with easy access to the beach. The community beachfront walk is just steps from the door.

We liked the pull out couch as our 2nd bed because we could sit on it when we weren't sleeping. Gorgeous view of water, right next to a waterway walkway. Convenient for sightseeing.
