Reviews for Crown Mansion Boutique Hotel & Villas
Review 1:It was siapoointing that there is no khotel staff after 8pm. We didn't sleep a wink with a persistent noise in the room. Staff didn't offer any reparation
Review 2:The room was beautifully renovated
Review 3:The room was beautiful and comfortable. The building is very nicely decorated and it had such a Christmasy feel. The only thing I would change is I would like to see some protein in the breakfast. Even if it was some hard boiled eggs offered. Or maybe even the offer of a hot breakfast as they do dinner in the restaurant (it is a separate business)
Review 4:The ambience and decor of the hotel were just what we were looking for. Members of the staff were friendly and helpful. The Butler restaurant dinner and service were excellent, and the continental breakfast was just right.
Review 5:Breakfast was a joke, toast and coffee, with as little care as possible. Air conditioner was faulty with no way to turn it off. So it buzzed off and on all night.
Review 6:We liked the setting, with lovely hanging baskets and wooded view. The lodge was charming.
Review 7:Lovely, luxurious and comfortable with friendly staff. Dinner on both nights was superb. The Enchanted Forest is directly behind the hotel and a magical place to walk.
Review 8:Staff are not on premises after about 8 pm- The place is locked and you may be out of trouble if you arrive late, unless you have made arrangements in advance.
Review 9:lovely grounds, beautiful rooms and historic building. Friendly staff.
Review 10:Lack of guests. I think we were one of just two couples in the whole place. Despite this we we're put in a room at the back of the hotel with no window in the bedroom. The only light was through a glass door in the bathroom. Only stayed one of the three we had booked (luckily we had booked with free cancellation)
Review 11:Location
Review 12:We woke up with natural gas smell at 1:27AM. There is no 24 hour reception otherwise we would have packed up and gone back home to Victoria. We battled the smell on and off all night by opening windows and curtains but could not sleep at all.
Review 13:The lack of "garden" view from our room and unavailable restaurant services during our Easter visit left us feeling disappointed with our two night stay. The breakfast room is beautifully appointed, but the self-service meal offered was scant and consisted of toast, granola, OJ, coffee and tea. Overall - was expecting more from this lovely Boutique Hotel.
Review 14:Access to the nearby forest trail, beach, town centre, amenities within the room, comfy bed. Park-like setting.
Review 15:The mattress was worn out so the area where people slept was sagging. We were told when we checked in that there was espresso with the continental breakfast, but in the morning we were told that the machine was being repaired. In the breakfast room we saw orange juice, a thermos of coffee, granola and slices of bread in a bag. We went out for breakfast! Wi-fi was slow so it would buffer often. The tv did not work.
Review 16:Beautiful decor and quite clean.
Review 17:Comfortable clean and very friendly. The rooms are perfect and welcoming with everything one needs for a great stay and more. We would come back in a heartbeat.
Review 18:Sophistication of restaurant menu exceeded capabilities of chef. Lovely presentation and service. so-so actual execution.
Review 19:Rooms were beautiful with seance of history highlighted by identities of previous guests-King of Siam, John Wayne, Rita Hayworth, etc
Review 20:A few visible stains on carpet, no bottles of water, leaving!
Review 21:Beautiful gardens, ocean view, wildlife (deers), private nature trail in forest, tranquility, high class dining room, complimentary gourmet cookies, fresh complimentary breakfast, comfortable bed, heated bathroom floor, spacious shower and sink, claw foot spa bathtub, building's history
Review 22:Our bathroom was on the exterior wall, and had some very nice windows that opened. Our bedroom opened onto the bathroom with a opaque glass door, but didn't have any exterior windows itself. I still felt a little claustrophobic, and felt that the black lampshades on the bedside lamps only darkened the room further, which actually didn't give enough light for reading. Also, would like a chair to sit on in the bedroom (it is not comfortable to only sit up in the bed).
Review 23:The hotel itself and the room furnishings were very nice. Everything was clean and sparkling, and the breakfast room luxurious. I really prefer to stay in a unique, and non-generic place when I am on holiday, and the Crown Mansion Hotel definitely fit that description!
Review 24:Our garden view room had a view of roofs! The only window in our room was in the bathroom so the view or lack of it really made no difference. When I drew this lack of view to the staff I was met with a shrug!
Review 25:Very nice breakfast! The bathroom had two sinks & very nice towels. Our friends room actually had a somewhat view of the garden.
Review 26:Nothing at all.
Review 27:A beautiful hotel both inside & out. Comfortable bedroom with fantastic staff. Location is ideal facing the golf course & sea with just about everything in Qualicum Beach in a walk-able distance.

Review 32:That I didn't plan a longer stay.
Review 33:Excellent suite with good view. Good dining experience
Review 34:A few more choices for breakfast would of been nicer. The choices were limited.
Review 35:The room was very comfortable and the gardens were beautiful.
Review 36:Beautiful hotel with character and charm. Friendly staff.
Review 37:No place to hang clothes - only drawers.
Review 38:Historical setting. Elegant room, with huge bathroom. Hotel has a lovely dining room. Continental breakfast service.
Review 39:Money room we stayed in was top notch
Review 40:Couldn't get the jacuzzi tub to work
Review 41:Felt like staying in a friends mansion
Review 42:The room had a bathtub in front of the window, which is the best palce to sit with a view. Very odd.
Review 43:Great Location
Review 44:Great room, quiet, peaceful
Review 45:the room was amazing and my gf LOVED the tub in the suite.
Review 46:Beautiful Inn, lovely location
Review 47:Breakfast was Very limited yogurt and granola
Review 48:Room was excellent
Review 49:The historic and charming feel of the property
Review 50:Lack of hot water for the tub (hot water in the shower was just fine).
Review 51:Location, staff, room comfort, Butler's Restaurant.
Review 52:Continental breakfast could have been more substantial
Review 53:History, setting and atmosphere.
Review 54:View of roof and parking lot from the John Wayne room. If a view is desired, do not get that room.
Review 55:Dinner was very good and staff friendly and helpful
Review 56:Nothing.
Review 57:Friendliness of staff. Mobility devices accessibility. We are staying again on our return trip.
Review 58:Location Quaintnence Amenities Grounds BreakfastAmbiance
Review 59:Lovely spot. Great rooms and a very interesting history of the property. We dined at the inhouse restaurant - Butlers - it was excellent. We would highly recommend the food.
Review 60:No swimming pool!
Review 61:Very comfortable and spacious room with lovely view. Excellent towels and toiletries. Great shower. Fabulous and reasonably priced meal with good wines in dining room.
Review 62:Our room 214 was very cramped . It did not have a window or any table or chairs. If we wished to watch TV we had to sit on the bed, the view for one of us was obstructed by a bed post. The lighting was very poor as we were unable to read by the existing lights. We are sure that if we had a larger room with a window we would have been much more comfortable. By viewing your web page we expected to have much better accommodation.
Review 63:Sorry but our attitude was adversely affected by the displeasure with room 214 Neil and Joan Christensen Victoria BC
Review 64:friendlier staff at front desk. was on the rude side and condescending all three times we dealt with her. would recommend this place, if it wasn't for the desk staff.
Review 65:better continental breakfast. healthier options.
Review 66:Everything
Review 67:My garden view was of the parking lot not the garden as shown on the web site. Next time I would book the ocean view.
