Review 1：We had a wonderful stay at the hotel tralala. We were welcomed with a glass of wine and had wonderful large rooms. Excellent stay, would absolutely stay again.

Review 7：The only thing you need to know ahead of time is that you need to take a taxi or be ready to take your luggage up the hill. It's a great walk if you don't mind it, and very scenic.

Review 11：I had a very please and comfortable stay at this hotel for 6 nights. I live at room 308 and I think I got the best view of the hotel room, had three windows at the room, one of it can see the lake view, really very nice. Room space is big enough and I think my room is slightly bigger than other rooms. and the room is very clean and quiet at night.

Review 12：I checked in pretty late, after 9pm. The lights in my room did not work, except for 2 night stands lamps, so it was pretty dark, but it was too late to get somebody to fix the lights, i think the receptionist already left.

Review 13：Convenient location:10 min walk from the train station, 5 min walk from the lake. There is no tea or coffee machine in the room, but they were very accomodating and gave me an electric kettle

Review 18：No welcome drink as suggested in previous comments. Broken window(could not lock it) when checked in, and I asked the reception to change a room for me, but she was very reluctant to do so, and questioned me if it was only the broken window that I wanted to change the room. Not so much styling as described. Very normal decoration, no lake view, indifferent staff, have to climb halfway up to the mountain, not so convenient to move around.

Review 20：Box spring on one bed was making noisy creaking noise. Kept us awake. Had to disassemble bed and put mattress on floor and one of us sleep on that floor mattress.

Review 22：The hotel is on a hill and far from the main tourist area.This is a big issue if walking with luggage There are no buses in the evening therefore you have to either take a costly taxi or walk uphill. For the money being charged I think you can take a hotel nearer the main area. I personally didn't like the size of the rooms. They are quite small.

Review 27：The breakfast buffet was a bit poor. You have everything you need but it wasn't the freshest, i thought. For instance, i feel like they had some cheap orange juice, you know, small things.

Review 28：The beds were really comfortable and everything was clean. The staff was a bit overwhelmed by english speaking but didn't lose their cool. All in all very uncomplicated and good location.

Review 29：Compared to how I remembered the hotel from two years ago I found it could use a renovation very soon. There was a strong bathroom (pipes) smell right from the entrence. The room was nothing special, just a bed, no fridge, no wardrobe. This is OK in a larger room but the one we had this time was very small so we could see all the imperfections.bathroom has an old courtain shower and to my standard should shine of cleanless- it currently doesn't. Shower gel and soap are to be used by all guests the same (in a recipient on the wall) which to my opinion is not hygienic at least in the shower. Overall this is a very nice hotel with a special design I really hope the owner will take better care of it and renovate all the rooms. For the "swiss" price we pay we expect Swiss standards.

Review 30：We stayed here the second time and this time were given a small room on the 4th floor. The bed is very comfortable, the view of the Alps in the morning amazing. Stuff is nice and willing to help.

Parking is difficult at the hotel, but a free valet service solved that problem and we found the car easily - a 10 minute walk away - the next day! The hotel is funky, with great design and a very quirky, modern feel. Our bedroom was a little on the small side, but otherwise very clean, simple and stylish and the shower-room was great. Breakfast was superb - plentiful, fresh with a wide range of choices. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The night we stayed, there was a street fair till midnight, with live music, and food and drink stalls, all of which added to the party ambience of the whole experience. The hotel itself is situated in the old town area of Montreux and is only a 10-15 minute walk downhill to the lake, central station and shops. I would have no hesitation in staying there again and, indeed, already intend to go back with my wife!

Review 107：It is a long, steep walk from the main drag to the hotel. Last bus was at 8pm so compelled to walk back after dinner. The description is totally misleading. The so-called 'lake view' junior suites we booked were not what we expected. I am a regular visitor to Montreux and if you book a lake view, you get a lake facing room with a clear vista of the lake. These rooms had a tiny view of the lake out of a side window - definitely no beautiful lake vista! The bathrooms were very spacious, but no separate shower which they could easily accommodate. As I like fresh air and always sleep with a window open, the early morning traffic was very noisy. Breakfast was very basic - nothing special. When checking out there was nobody at reception to attend to us - we were in a hurry to catch trains, buses and planes. I had to ask somebody in the kitchen where the receptionist was - turns out she was smoking outside.

Review 118：I reserved via booking.com, when I arrived at around 21:30 after commuting all day, I found a 500 people disco party in a lobby that is designed to 50. it took me 5 minutes to get to the counter with my language. The reception was busy selling beer to the guests, I could hardly communicate with the staff. The noise was unbearable. The staff informed me that the party will go on untill 24:00 and shown no understanding to my situation. I needed a rest after a long day of traveling... I felt miss treated. There is obviously something wrong with their service concept...

Review 121：The old woman running the hotel. Impolite without manners and without sense how to run a hotel. The hotel has no wifi or you can get it if you are lucky staying on the first floor. The breakfast is a joke its like you are a worker going to the mountains and you get a piece of bread ham and cheese thats it. Coffee is watered down to cut expenses on site bar non existent just part of the reception. The hotel is situated up the hill 1 km from train station if you wanna walk there.... good luck unless you are prof3ssional athlete.half rooms have ashtrays half not and whne you amoke they lecture. Sign of non smoking? NOWHERE. Would i stay there again? NO. Its a pity as montreux is beautiful with great people,great schools and great atmosphere. Although this hotel should go back in a learning mod3 and maybe in 4 to 5 years could have go again out in the market to attract clients with slightly improves public relation skills. I forgot to mwntion that they offered me free breakfast and city tax included at the end if i was extending my stay. Guess what at the end i got charged.finally when i asked her for an invoice for business purposes i felt that i asked her for the world.that was a good lesson to choose next time a real hotel to stay.
