Review 1：We were unable to have a shower, as the water tap was 'frozen'. A repair attempt was unsuccessful and we weren't offered money back or any form of consolation. It was not worth the $90.00 we paid
Review 2：I stayed a night in "Cottage" 35 in early January. I put cottage in quotes, because these units were actually more like a motel than a cottage - there were 5 or so units in a row, all attached. Saying that, I didn't hear any noise from the unit next door. The cottage was quiet, dark (e.g. no street lights right outside or anything) and a good distance from the road. The interior had been recently renovated and it was clean and in good condition. The cottage is certainly spacious with a separate bedroom and a fully stocked kitchen. They have a seasonal pool and play area for the kids and appear to rent bikes in the summer also. There are quite a few cottages, motel units and campsites on the property and I would expect that it could get quite lively in the summertime! It's a few kilometres from the town of Qualicum Beach and there are restaurants within walking distance. All in all, it was a decent place to stay for the night
Review 3：Check in was dec 26 so no staff. Lots of confusion around the room numbers and keys.

Also the only window that opened (apart from the bathroom) was the French doors leading onto patio overlooking the pool, which means we did not leave it open (no screen + potentially easy entry into room). Had to pay extra for supposedly faster wifi which was not that reliable.
Review 17：Clean room and friendly staff. The onsite shop was well stocked at reasonable prices. They provided a kettle upon request.
Review 18：bad experience! it's a cheap place, greasy, the bad smell of fried food started early in the morning. Furthermore, we lied two towels on our room's patio to dry out, and by the morning after they were gone!

Review 20：Young children without parents everywhere. A four year old fell off his bike and was crying. Couldn't find his parents. Young children running around still unsupervised after midnight. They were so loud.

Review 22：Our two bedrooms cabin was spotless when we arrived. Good utensils for cooking. Picnic table at community garden area outside the cabin. Plus many possibilities for outdoor playing. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Review 31：We stayed in a townhouse type unit. It was roomy and clean. Parking was very convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and water slides were a big hit with my kids. Very fun for the whole family. We will stay here again for sure.

Review 34：We were not told the pools were empty and not in service and only found out when we arrived. The bed was quite soft and not very comfortable. They didn't let us know the office hours so when we went to check out at 8am there was no one there and no one answered the phone. We ended up just leaving keys in the room.
Review 35：We stayed in the one bedroom apartment that had a living room and dining table and kitchen and bedroom upstairs. We were visiting family who were able to come over and play cards and have tea and dessert because we had a full kitchen which was really nice. Also we played the mini golf which was a lot of fun and a great way to spend time together.
Review 36：We had a two storey suite with bed upstairs and kitchen/living down. Appreciated the separated spaces so that of each of us could rest or play on our own schedule.

Review 38：I liked the staff. They were all very friendly. Very clean accommodations. We were in a Queen room with two queen beds. Updated bathroom, microwave and small fridge. They opened the mini golf so my daughter was able to play. I was very impressed with Riverside Resort and will be returning.
Review 39：We were a famdily of 4, father and wife, daughter and granddaughter. We had a cabin and it was perfect. We had a bedroom for the parents and a futon for the daughter and granddaughter. There were enough outlets for all our ipads and etc. The kitchen was well equiped, loved the fridge and stove, awesome size. Lots of area for our three yeare old to play and ride her balance biike.Very close to the great grandparents.

Review 45：The futon beds were not meant for adults (my back!), but are great for kids. And if that is my only problem, then I am a happy woman.

The pool onsite with life guards and playground meant that there was always something for the kids to do whilst I made dinner, got the picnic ready etc. My elder children made friends with other kids on site and I felt that the site was very safe, so they wandered around freely. Like a hotel, the rooms were made up everyday. The town houses were very well equipped and clean, and the shop was open until late and was so well stocked. All in all, we had fun and would definitely good back. My son put it as the highlight of his summer in his back to school essay.
Review 47：Busy place! Pool was a madhouse of children. To be expected though. Not exactly something I didn't like, just not really something that added to our stay.

Review 52：even after I complained that the previous renters used coffee filter was still in machine and there was soap scum in my tub they failed to clean coffee pot, scum, replace my coffee cup, failed to replace my used juice glass I then had to ask for my more soap. Review 54：Felt the ad was misleading as it was not mentioned that one waterside and the mini-golf was extra $, plus looked like a lot (pics) of trails/access by river but not so. Since pool was also available for public (which wasn't mentioned) we couldn't tell if the overcrowding was due to that or undersized for the resort. The entire facility needs updating...even though we heard that some of the cabins had been renovated...ours NOT being one of them (our washroom smelled like urine). Would appreciate the smokers going farther away from unit to smoke other than below our window. The WiFi internet connection was very poor (had to sit in office to use it)!
Review 55：Accommodation was OK; we had 2 bdrm cabin, was a little too close for our comfort/privacy - a small divider fence would help. Beds were comfortable. Appliances worked well...lots of (too)hot water. At the rate charged per day we expected slightly better general facility (+FREE mini golf and FREE water slide). They kept pool clean.

When I arrived the hotel had no record of my reservation- I had a print out of the confirmation Booking.com sent me and it turned out booking.com never contacted the hotel on my behalf letting them know about my stay...luckily they had space otherwise I would have been S.O.L. Last time I book with booking.com as this is the third time they have made a huge mistake!!!!

Review 61：The staff were very friendly, and responded within 5 minutes when we had a minor problem at the cabin. The pool was very nice and had a lifeguard at all times. Very clean. Will definetly go back and would recommend Riverside highly. Thanks for a nice time.
Review 62：The outdated rooms we were first put into was small and noisy with badly needed renovations.. I wasn't impressed that the pool slide was not included for guests. At best this was a 2 star motel.

Review 120：I didn't get cleaning service the entire weekend. I had to go to reception to get my own coffee. When I mentioned the lack of cleaning to the front desk staff at my check out, I was informed (unapologetically) that they had no cleaning staff that weekend. I was surprised by this because no one let me know this at check in. As well, the Wi-Fi was weak and intermittent.
