Review 1：The place was fabulous - we had a one bedroom with an ocean view and it was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Very family-friendly. Decor was a bit dated but everything else was so wonderful it didn't matter at all. Kitchen was well-stocked, fireplace was great, view was amazing. The staff were just fantastic. Overall, we will definitely return whenever we are in Parksville!

Review 2：I was not aware of extra fess for six people. We rented a three bedroom unit specifically to accommodate us all.Owners of this unit may want to consider replacement of carpets soon. Otherwise good find.

Review 3：Family holiday. Six adults. We stayed in unit 54. Very spacious, well equipped kitchen. Nicely decorated. Comfy beds! Short walk to lovely beach. Had a fun dinner short walk away at the Black Goose.

Review 4：There is no windows to be open ...so the only fresh air you can get is leaving the patio door open. There is a patio door lock which you can leave the door open a wee bit at night but not feeling secure about it.

Review 6：The quilt covers were very thin, could do with being thicker. Also the hot tub was out of order for 2days as no-one was there to tet it, maybe there should be a backup person that knows how to do that.

Review 7：The location and view was great. Loved the decor, had all the cooking utensils etc that we needed. Would defintely stay again.

Review 8：The location was excellent, beautiful water, stately cedar trees and great walking paths. No extra lighting so when sun goes down, it is dark. The moon reflects on the water shedding some light yet in the trees it is really dark and stars can be clearly seen.

Review 9：the one thing we didn't like is, while our room was a great location, corner, ground floor, above was obviously a family with at least one young child. we could hear each footfall as the child/ren ran across the floor with presumably parent running after him/her. they were awake late and rose early. next time, if given the same room, because we liked it, we would ask about who was in the room above us; if it was a family with young child/ren we would ask for a different room.

Review 11：Stayed 4 days. No daily cleaning which was great. Why the tip envelope? Do you tip to have the room cleaned for your first day??? Tipping is out of control. Please pay employee fare wage so we do not have to tip for everything.

Review 12：Everything promised was fulfilled. Very well equipped kitchen, extremely clean unit, great beds, beautiful waterfront view. Quiet and secluded, off the highway. Plenty of room for 2 couples to share.

Review 13：In the studio unit, it was hard to find anywhere to put belongings - just a tiny table and a dresser which already had things on it. No spot to store luggage. Kettle needed descaling. Very small cake of soap for shower. The beach area here is not as attractive as it is a bit further north.

Review 18：Excellent! We will be going here again. Was everything we were hoping for our family vacation and then more. It was great to be so close to beach, then go to pool and hot tub then go to eat and do it all over again in the same day. As a mom this was very relaxing and we all had a wonderful time. Our suite had a great view of pool and the beach, everything you need is there-just pack clothes ands food and you are set. The kids called it their home even

Review 30：1..Too hot without A/C 2 Outside table rusted out. 3 The 45 degree turn to get into the room was not good to get the electric scooter through ...should have been a straight drive -in entrance W/C should have a raised toilet Since I had originally said we were travelling with a handicapped person,more care should have been been taken to accommodate us.

Review 34：This is our second visit to Ocean Sands. The apartments are spacious, clean and have everything you will need for a self-catering stay. Great for kids, staff very friendly.The King Size bed was amazing! Next time we will stay longer.

Review 35：No airconditioning leads to a lot of open windows and you could hear families until the early morning hours. It wasn't too loud but nobody looked out for quiet time. someone who is very sensitive could be bothered. Some people seem to live there either permanently or over the summer which makes for a mixed interest crowd.

Review 57：The only things I didn't like have nothing to do with the resort. The weather was cold and wet, and we only stayed one night.

Review 58：On checkin, we were met by (I assume) Darcy, who was incredibly cheerful, happy, helpful, and informative. We'd been driving for a couple of hours, had arrived later than we wanted to, the kids were tired and hungry, and his cheery good nature set the tone for our one night stay. The unit was impeccably clean, the kitchen quite well equipped, the views amazing, and it was very quiet. We had two adults and three kids staying in a two bedroom flat and it worked out well.

Review 59：The guy who answered the phone seemed kind of irritable or slow minded. It was like he was annoyed that I wanted a basic room and not a 2 bedroom suite. Also he argued about booking.com rate. I ended up using booking.com and saved $30 from what he said the best rate was. No big deal. I was happy to stay. The bath towels stink like they were left to dry in the washing machine. It made the room smell and I couldn't use them. I just air dried my body and shook my self around like a dog to dry off but kind of nasty that the towels stunk. They should throw their towels in the dryer after washing and not the next day.

Review 62：Our managers could not have been more helpful...we got a very good last minute deal, so there was no kitchen, but we were able to get some plates, cutlery & toaster from our managers. Although the weekend was a bit soggy, we enjoyed a wonderful view of the ocean...our room was very cozy & quiet. We stayed here a few years ago & will be glad to come again as the managers are so welcoming.

Review 63：It has brand new flooring throughout and as such the living area felt a bit sparse on a cold day - could have used a rug under the coffee table and/or some throws on the couches to curl up with. No bath soaps or shampoo in the bathroom though.... but I would stay there again.

Review 68：The staff were really pleasant and very helpful. The room was large with everything you could have wanted. Step through the patio doors to see the fantastic views across the bay. Beautiful sunrise in the morning - shame we were only there 1 night.

Review 69：It would have been great if there could have been a scheduled kid-free pool time at the pool- my friends and I would have used the pool but felt there was no time when we could have had a leisurely swim without benefit of a myriad of pool toys and children, Perhaps from 9 - 11 for adults only?

Review 70：The facility was great - clean, well stocked with utensils etc - initially we had wanted ground floor but the switch to an upper level suite was actually good when we found out just exactly how many children were staying at the resort - we realized it was family, just didn't realize primarily family. As a group of adults only, we felt a little surprised, but the chikdrn were well-mannered and supervised - just glad we had relocated to be above the fray,(so to speak).
