Reviews for Walliserhof
Review 1:difficulty to get the hotel on phone very bad wifi connection
Review 2:very good welcome at the reception desk spa with swimming pool, sauna, hammam montain view from bed proximity to the railway station to Zermatt
Review 3:the beth was very hard the restaurant can be made more appealing with more choice of food in the evening (candlelights); we went to another more cosy hotel to have dinner the bar of the hotel closed at 22 pm, a pity..so also never went to the bar, otherwise you can meet some people etc..
Review 4:the wellness. the environment
Review 5:For a basic hotel, the price was quite expensive, but I suppose it was prime ski season.
Review 6:The hotel is cozy in a super convenient location (a 3 minute walk to the train station). Rooms were comfortable and very clean, although quite basic. Breakfast was included and was good. Parking was free and there's a storage room in the basement for snow gear.
Review 7:We had a terrible stay at the Walliserhof for various reasons. Primarily myself and my partner were bitten by bed bugs which were confirmed by our doctor the day we returned to the UK. Consequently, we were both put on a course of strong antibiotics and had to clean the entire house etc in the hope that the bed bugs didn't come back with us to the UK. The whole experience was extremely upsetting, uncomfortable and quite embarrassing as this has never happened to us before. I contacted the hotel via phone and the manager was quite rude to me basically putting the phone down. I sent him two emails and neither have been responded too. Obviously, I was keen to contact the hotel as I don't want anyone else to experience the discomfort that we went through. Furthermore, we booked a double room but was put into a twin room for our first night with the girl on the desk saying that they don't have double beds in the rooms. This was a lie as the second night they did manage to find us a room with a double bed! We decided to eat in the hotel on one of the evenings which was a big mistake. We thought eating on Christmas Day would be the best for this but we were wrong. The food was terrible and we both compared it to a bad school dinner e.g. An ice cream scoop of weird mash potatoe, a thick cut piece of meat and sloppy gravy. Breakfast was fine but I recommend you don't eat in the hotel on an evening as its expensive and very disappointing. All in all we were very disappointed with our stay and are still awaiting to hear back from the hotel. I still have around 50 marks from the bed bug bites which I'm hoping will not scar.
Review 8:The service at this hotel was amazing. The breakfast was great and the location was very good. This was a great place to spend time with our adult children at the beginning and end of an active day of skiing. We ate two dinners at the hotel and received the best service we got on the trip. We had 3 rooms, a single, double and a double with a balcony. Thanks to Marcus, Ilene, and Evelyn for being superb mountain hosts!
Review 9:Slow Wifi with absurdly frequent necessity to login into the network.
Review 10:I read a few notice about poor breakfast in hotel, however, I have to say that the breakfasts were excellent and various. Wellness is not so modern but it is sufficient and very comfortable after a whole day on ski. The dinners were tasty. We were very satisfied and I can reccomend to stay in this hotel.

Review 24:The breakfast could have been with much more varieties.
Review 25:The hotel staff were very kind. The dessert for dinner was delicious. The hotel room was value for money, it was clean and comfortable. The location was not bad either as there are trains running every 10-15 minutes from Täsch to Zermatt.
Review 26:Very nice staff. If you don´t mind the short train shuttle to Zermatt, I would say the location (particularly in Täsch) is very convenient. I guess it pretty much comes down to price difference and what you want to do in the evening. Would surely consider to go back.
Review 27:The location of the hotel in the map provided by Booking.com is incorrect. The hotel is at the south end of village, if you follow the Neue Kantonstrasse it is the last building on left side of the street, ca 300 m south from the railway station.
Review 28:Very good food, very reasonably priced.
Review 29:Bed covers are very old and bad. We didn’t get enough hot water in ourbathroom. Also water drain system didn’t work in the shower.
Review 30:Breakfast is good. Very close to railway station. Dinner is quite ok..
Review 31:WLAN signal in the room was not good
Review 32:Staff was extremely friendly, the room was spacey and warm, breakfast was good, at the last day we were allowed to leave the car in the parking until late in the afternoon
