Review 1:1. The service. When I and my two children (6 and 10) arrived in the lobby, the first person to greet us said "can I help you?" and when I said "I would like to check in" he said "Are you sure you are in the right place?" I found that an odd and not particularly welcoming or helpful comment. The same gentleman who made this comment also came to our hotel room at my request to provide a room service menu as I could not find it (it turned out to be in one of the drawers of the desk but the desk drawers have no handles and are curved in shape; I had only found one drawer of the desk and that one was the empty one). While he was in our room providing the room service menu, I asked for some help finding the TV channel that shows what is on other channels. I think he thought I was asking how to switch channels and he said "That is very easy but I will show you" or something like that. Again, that is not a particularly helpful or customer-service oriented comment. It is also not necessary to make that comment. It suggests that what I am asking is so easy that I shouldn't have to ask. Even if that is true, it is not a good idea to have that sort of attitude with one's customers. And, of course, it turned out that I was not asking what he thought I was asking and the reason I could not find the channel that lists what is on other channels is that there wasn't one.2. The pool. The pool and the pool room were very cold. I looked at the temperature of the pool room on the thermostat and it was a few degrees below regular room temperature (70 degrees F or 21 degrees C). We swam twice and both times it was cold enough that we could only swim for about 15 minutes before we were too cold to continue. I am not generally cold in pools, even pools where others complain that the temperature is too cold. My children have NEVER complained that the water is too cold at any rec centre or any other hotel pool.
Review 2:The hot tub, although it was not in the same room or even building as the pool. Free parking. The fridge in the room. It was close to other amenities (shopping, etc.).
Review 3:Some staff do not smile or even look at guests when they walk by. Rooms are not that clean; an example was the grimy electrical outlet in the bathroom.
Review 4:We appreciated the excellent location and the amenities in the hotel. We enjoyed a walk on the rooftop garden. The shuttle driver was very nice, as were some front desk staff.
Review 5:The toilet ceiling inside my room was like raining in the middle of the night. Staff try to locate me on the ground floor room and I strongly oppose.

Review 7:I was told the hotel gave you 14 free parking days if you stayed one night, so we stayed there because of it - turns out they do not do that-had to pay extra $50-very hard to argue at 3am on the way to the airport

Review 10:We were put in a separate building which was different from the actual hotel building & when we questioned this we were told it was because our reservation was done through booking.com Almost seemed like we were excluded. The body wash in the room was heavily scented & lemon grass fragrance... That made my shower experience a very horrible one, I suggest that non scented body wash be put in the bathroom going forward. There was no remote for the Air conditioner... My entire night was a nightmare as it was really hot & uncomfortable in the room all through. I wasn't happy overall

Review 12:The refrigerator in my room did not work, and the bill I got was far different from what was advertised.
Review 13:The reception area had a nice ambience, and the staff were generally courteous all around. There was also a free shuttle bus to and from the airport as advertised.
Review 14:Our suite was right across from the elevator and we could hear the elevator running constantly. The shower head in the bathroom is a rain shower which should be very nice but not the right shower head as they have it coming out of the wall like a normal shower head and since there is no shower curtain the water goes everywhere, all over the floor when you are trying to shower and makes it very slippery.
Review 15:Upon our arrival we were upgraded by the staff to a deluxe suite in the executive tower. The staff were friendly and courteous. Overall our stay was very pleasant. I am making a few comments about what we did not like hoping this will help the hotel make the stay of future guests more enjoyable.
Review 16:It was a Monday and all their restaurants were closed. Had to eat at the pub which was too noisy and high tables for my elderly mother.

Review 18:I did not like the room and the current condition it was in. Most of our furniture within the room were old and worn. The cabinet door where the mini fridge was stored did not close properly. Aesthetically not pleasing. Also their amenities were not clearly mapped out. We had difficulty finding the fitness center and hot tub.

Review 23:The bed was horrible. We did not have a fitted sheet on our bed, it was just a sheet tucked in, our ac made a horrible noise. We booked a room due to the fact it was near the airport and we had an early flight. As well, because we were staying with family and were sleeping on the couch and floor. We hoped to get a good sleep by booking a hotel, and it was the worst of our trip.

Review 25:Had to wait longer than expected in the afternoon for the room to be ready. Was charged more than was advertised. Other Hotels charge what was quoted. The bed had sheets and mattress protector to small and not fitted so had to sleep on the mattress with bedding scrunched up underneath.
Review 26:-Very slow WiFi in the room -Housekeeping missing something almost every day of cleaning the room (i.e. took away our used bar soap without replacing with a new one; left mugs with tea stain on the desk)

Review 28:We were pleasantly surprised to find we had been given a complimentary upgrade when we checked in and were given a penthouse suite! It was very unexpected and a wonderful surprise. We were travelling with our infant and so this was even more appreciated as there was space for her to sleep on the second floor while we enjoyed the living space downstairs. It was a short drive to the airport when we left which was ideal. It was a great experience for us!
Review 29:Didn't like that we parked in a different building from where our room was. It was a long walk with our stuff. The room and hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. The water didn't drain out of the tub when we were showering.

Review 37:For $325 I would expect a room with air-conditioning. I realize it's Vancouver but it still gets very warm in the summer and the room was intolerably hot. The hallways are dingy and dirty. The staff was not very pleasant.

Upon checkout I was asked to pay an additional$3.45 because a "mistake" had been made. I refused to pay andthe clerk called a supervisor and it was taken off the bill. I do notneed to be hassled this way. Will not return.

Review 50:Waited for 30 minutes for airport shuttle to arrive then waited for 25 mins to pick up an airline crew that were arriving. Hotel was maximum of 10 mins from the airport and could have easily dropped me and returned.

Review 52:Upgraded to one-bedroom apartment in Executive Tower, which had everything you would need for a very comfortable home from home. Richmond Centre a short walk away and airport 5 mins by car.

Review 76:The Hotel, as I recall, has two great restaurants on either side of it. But I was too tired to change and dine there. So I opted for room service, hoping to be able to order some snack (I wasn't hungry) but just missed the deadline. I had to order from the dinner menu. I explained to the person who had answered the call, told him that I wasn't hungry but needed to eat a bit. He understood and planned my menu accordingly: chicken wings, with celery and dip, a bowl of fresh fruits and cup of tea. That's what I call service.

Review 90:The front desk service was average. They didn't go out of their way to be friendly or welcoming. I was charged 50% more for my room when I checked in. When I questioned it, they said it was a deposit. They should have mentioned they were going to charge a deposit before doing so.

Review 100:We stayed her because they said we could leave our vehicle while we traveled on to New York for a week. When we returned we had an $80 parking ticket on our window that said we were not registered for leaving our vehicle. Secondly upon returning from the trip we called ahead to have the shuttle meet us at the airport. Once at the airport we called 2 more times, each time being told the shuttle was on the way. We waited and hour and then caught cab. Once arriving at the hotel the shuttle was parked out front and the hood and exhaust were cold......The shuttle hadn't moved in a long time!!! Extremely poor service. Ended up costing us the $80 parking ticket and $20 for the cab. pretty poor

Review 104:I was lied to! The website said the hotel was 3.5km to the airport, it is more like 10km to the airport. I asked for a king bed and was booked accordingly, and got only a queen bed that was very uncomfortable. The room was dated, dingy and very uncomfortable. I would never stay there again.

The air conditioner in the Apartment was so loud you coudn't sleep at night .The water from shower drained out so slowly that you were standing in your soapy water. The furniture was very old & dated. Not what I expected from the pictues on the web.

Review 116:The wifi was basically unusable. This was very unfortunate since I had a video meeting to attend and could not do so. I find that reliable wifi is an absolute *must* especially for a business-oriented hotel.

They also said a manager would call me about my complaint and it's been over a week now. I guess they don't care when they mess up your vacation plans.

But the shuttle to airport the next morning was free, the room quiet and off the main highway, the bed comfortable, and the Irish pub down the street had great jambalaya and ale.
