Reviews for Sorell Hotel Rueden
Review 1:Actually I didn't stayed in this hotel, because the lobby was unfortunately on fire at the night(3rd Oct) just before my arrival. Although rooms were not damaged but still filled with burning smell, and the staff arranged another nice hotel named Kronenhof with same price for me, and it's located at the town center. I think they managed such emergency case in a proper way.
Review 2:Absolutely amazing stay! The staff was super accommodating and friendly. The hotel is an eclectic, well-located gem that was truly a surprising last-minute addition to our trip. It turned out to be one of the highlights! Also, the breakfast was very nice.
Review 3:I stayed in this hotel 3 times already as it is close to a client. From my experience: - Never ever ever ever book the last room. It is on the top, with badly insulated windows towards the train station. I had a sleepless night. - No good air circulation, especially in the hot summer - Small details: Empty soap dispenser in room, shower curtain dropping all the time, bacon for breakfast out 2 out of 3 times at 7.30 am. For the price this is not acceptable
Review 4:- Nice personnel - Close to the train station and my client - Relatively large rooms with nice design - You feel that the hotel managers are invested in providing something more than just the standard
Review 5:Not that it was terribly hot when I stayed, but it was advertised that there was air condition and when I got there, I was informed only some of the rooms had air condition. The pillows were a tad hard.
Review 6:The breakfast was very good - it is hard to find scramble eggs and bacon in Switzerland. Location was excellent located right next to the train station and on the edge of the Old town of Schaffhausen.
Review 7:Nothing really.
Review 8:The hotel is at a really good location, close to all sites of the town and about 5 mins walk to the train station where one can hub on/off either the train to other destinations or the bus to Rheinfall. The structure of the hotel is really interesting with the wooden pillars and beams exposed. It renders a homy atmosphere. Staff is really friendly.
Review 9:the breakfast was not very good, not much to choose from. sound approval also not quite good
Review 10:location perfect, right at city center. nice internal design. staff super kind and helpful.
Review 11:Maybe the breafast area, a bit noisy since it's just by the entrance. but no big deal.
Review 12:the size of the room is big and has a lot of charm. the location is perfect right in the city. the Staff is very helpfull and the service is great.
Review 13:The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful . We arrived tired and dirty on two 1960's lambretta 's on route to Davos . We were helped in with our bags and taken to a lovely room that was spacious and comfortable . The hotel is situated in the old part of town next to restaurant's and shops and although our stay was only short we really enjoyed the experience it's a lovely place to stay and visit .
Review 14:Beautiful hotel, with friendly staff. Excellent location near restaurants & shopping. Delicious breakfast. Perfect for traveling with pets.

Review 23:The position and atmosphere of the hotel
Review 24:Would have liked an undercover bicycle park, but park was secure.
Review 25:Everything. Excellent room/suite, good breakfast selection, helpful staff.
Review 26:was really hot at the time (35C) and there was no airco (probably not relevant most of the year)
Review 27:Staff, location, room
Review 28:Could not receive the SMS for activation. Why to make it complicated?
Review 29:The Parking is too far and too expensive...
Review 30:Location is right in the heart.
Review 31:nothing
Review 32:most helpful staff-very clean little town in Switzerland
Review 33:I have booked two triple bedrooms but when reaching hotel I found one booking.
Review 34:Location Staff
Review 35:No outside view.
Review 36:Breakfast was brilliant, coffee was stunning.
Review 37:The mattres was very old and very fluffy
Review 38:Beautifull building, very good service and location. Rooms are very confrotables and clean
Review 39:room didn't have a window, and light and sound from the room next to ours came through a seam in the wall!!
Review 40:nice staff nice breakfast
Review 41:Room had a high step to enter and carry luggage over which is a floor beam, also to enter bathroom, same high step. Could be a problem for older people , it was an inconvenience for us, 2 mature ladies.
Review 42:Friendly , great location, nicely renovated lovely old hotel.
Review 43:the only thing we didn't like was the somewhat high price for a bed and breakfast
Review 44:the hotel is practically situated. it is very close to the city and train station. the building is old but beautifully restored. it is definitively worth to stay there.
Review 45:When departed I didnt like that the receptionist was missing. It was not very polite somehow.
Review 46:I liked the service of the employee Andrew Dubs who was very friendly and cheering at the breakfasts.
Review 47:The room on the third floor was a bit too warm, even for the winter months.
Review 48:The facility was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and professional.
Review 49:I stayed on the top floor and it was much too hot for me.
Review 50:Extremely friendly and obliging staff - nothing too much trouble, very comfortable bed, fabulous view from my window.
Review 51:The rooms were tiny and miniature. Not at all a good value - way over-priced The only parking is almost a half a mile a way. if you park on the street you get a $40 ticket
Review 52:The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms immaculately clean and comfortable. On a 170 km bike ride with my teenage son, we literally fell into the comfortable beds. Break fast excellent with fresh fruit. The old building is renovated very well with great furniture and a lot of charm. Also, you are right in town and on the bikepath
Review 53:no air con in the the room, so the room was hot Nearby clock that chimes on the hr & every 1/2 hr Lack of restaurant facilities - although plenty of places to eat in town.
Review 54:Nice clean rooms, central location close to the station, good breakfast
Review 55:For travelers on a Euro budget, rather expensive...as were all therestaurants in Schaffhausen.
Review 56:Friendly and personal reception, very good breakfast. Bed quitecomfortable, spacious bathroom.Nicely renovated historical building. Definitely not a sterile, American style hotel (even though there were actually washcloths in the bath). Because the weather had been hot, there was a quiet fan set up in the room (needed).
Review 57:No attached parking lot, but possibilities to park are closeby andreasonably priced.
Review 58:Lovely ancient building, completely redone with old structures remainingintact, I had a spacious single bed room with stunning view over theroofs of the city and a huge modern bathroom with shower, the room had arather big flatscreen tv. Very friendly and helpful staff, it even has aself-service bar at the lobby. I travel with a dog, it was welcomedwarmly and ppl were very friendly in general. A nice park is 300 m awayto walk the dog. Breakfast ist included, but because I had to leave veryearly, I didn't have any. Beautiful location within the old part of thetown, shops and restaurants are only few meters away, next to thestation also close to Rheinfall and other sightseeing highlights. Agreat deal - i'll stay there again!
Review 59:The location is excellent and the hotel itself is very special. I enjoyed a lot while staying in this hotel. I have 2 year old boy and we found it's very comfortable to stay in this hotel and I will stay here again if I will need to return to Schaffausen,
Review 60:The weather was hot and muggy so Switzerland's admirable policy of no air conditioning made it hard to be cool at night. The duvet was too hot so I ended up removing the duvet and just using the cover. The option of just a sheet would have been helpful.
Review 61:Great character, nice boutique-y feel. Great location. I like the 'at home' feel of being able to help yourself from the bar and record your usage. Only 30 rooms and it felt spacious and tranquil.
Review 62:It would be good if they have free wifi in the hotel. The bed was rathersoft for our comfort. Otherwise, it's very comfortable.
Review 63:The hotel is very accessible from the train station and the main busterminal to get to Rheinfall. The walk was only from the train stationto the hotel is less than 5 minute. Once you come out from the trainstation, cross the road, turn right to walk straight till a junction. The breakfast spread was normal.
Review 64:Small cramped room for the price
Review 65:Historic building in downtown Schaffhausen
Review 66:The double room I have rather small
Review 67:The location and the hotel building are perfect, the staff is very nice and helpful
Review 68:The hotel was central and had a very casual and welcoming atmosphere. I will stay there again when I visit Schaufhaussen next.
Review 69:The room is a little small.
Review 70:Close to the square but without the loud music access. Breakfast is quite good and service is wonderful.

Review 73:The room was quite basic, with only high attic windows.
Review 74:The location, nice breakfast.
Review 75:The staff were very friendly and helpful.
