Reviews for Hotel Zum Lamm
Review 1:Restaurant was closed, maybe because it was Sunday. Luckily amongst the kebab and chinese restaurants in town I found a decent German steakhouse. Parking is not free. All spaces are metered during working hours.
Review 2:Unfortunately the wifi was very poor. We were unable to utilize it most of the time we were there. We had a few problems with the phone but the staff were there to assist. The lack of an elevator is sometimes a challenge.
Review 3:The location is outstanding. A few minutes walk into the old town of Ansbach. Facility was very clean and the staff were very helpful.
Review 4:The room was a bit small for the size of the bed.
Review 5:The hotel is family run and Eddy, the owner, is wonderful. He made us feel right at home and helped us with anything we needed. The bed was amazingly comfortable.
Review 6:- Breakfast choices were very poor. Boiled Eggs, Fried Eggs, a very small selection of cheeses and cold cuts, yogurt, muesli, fruits, bread, condiments, coffee and a wide selection of tea types and flavours. while this may seem a lot, the quantities were very few. 1st night: Only two boiled eggs on the tiny buffet. 2nd: no boiled eggs, only fried. - No elevator. No staff to help with the bags.
Review 7:I had a TV in my room with lots of channels. It's a family owned business with very friendly owners.
Review 8:The host and hostess were knowledgeable and conscientious about their guests comfort. The rooms were clean, the breakfast good and the experience very pleasant overall!
Review 9:Close to transportation and the Old town of Ansbach. The room was quiet , safe, very clean and comfortable. We loved the extra touches like the candy left on our pillows. The host was friendly, open and easy to talk with about any subject that you wanted to discuss. We liked that. Ansbach was an ideal location for us being centrally located between Frankfurt, Nurnberg and Munich. The price was right for the room and included a wonderful Bavarian breakfast which we looked forward to every morning! The coffee was great! We would recommend this hotel to any of our friends and family. My husband was stationed in Ansbach in the late 80's and that gave us additional insight as to Ansbach as it is today! Review 11:Proprietor was nice about our leaving early and only charged 50% for night we did not stay.
Review 12:The street noise of bus and far train noise in the early morning.

Review 14:We were in Austria and called the hotel to tell them that we'll arrive around 11PM. They arranged the key transfer for that time although the reception is closed!!!. The hotel is very clean comfortable and well arranged. Bathrooms are wide and well equipped.

Review 26:We liked the cleanliness, very good attention and service, and comfort. It was very well located just a short walk from the train station in Ansbach, but also very close, 3-4 minutes walk, to the town center, where you can find good shops and restaurants. Nice town, nice hotel, good people. We recommend it.
Review 27:It was a smaller room but very comfortable for 1 or a couple. The location was great and close to the train station and Old Town, the breakfast was wonderful every morning. The owners were very personable and spoke some English, which helped me. A family run inn which felt very charming.

Review 34:The owner and main staff attendant does an excellent job catering to every need. He has been a wonderful host. The room is small but clean and comfortable.
Review 35:We could smell smoking from below our floor. The wall was not sealedfrom below. So the good window was bypassed by allowing smoke &noise from below.
Review 36:Innkeeper was very friendly & helpful. It was raining & hesuggested dinner at a Chinese restaurant only 50 meters from door todoor. The food was excellent. Parking was at the from door. I wouldrecommend staying here for the budget traveler. Interesting town.
Review 37:The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English which is advantageous for many travellers. The room was small but very comfortable and quiet at night. The hotel is close to everything - railway station, shops, tourist must sees. I would stay there again as Zum Lamm is one of the original Ansbach buildings. Ansbach is a really beautiful town - small and very interesting.

Review 40:The Innkeeper was friendly and helpful, from calling a taxi, or helpingfind a rental car, to making sure we took an umbrella with us. Breakfastwas always hot with a variety of meats, cheeses, breads, cereals, juiceand coffee. Centrally located within walking distance of literallyeverything! Parking directly in front of hotel. A beautiful gasthouswhose keepers make you feel like one of the family.

Review 42:I would have liked a bit more light in my room. Also a downside: the restaurant section of the first floor smelled of cigarettes--this was not noticeable in the hotel rooms or in the breakfast room, though.
