Reviews for Alpine Meadows Resort
Review 1:The location, very difficult to find 20km down a lane and not actually in Clearwater. The resort needs to have clearer driving instructions. There was only a restaurant on site, there was nowhere to purchase groceries locally. Unable to access wi-if even though it was supposed to be available.
Review 2:The cabin was adequate
Review 3:It poured with rain!
Review 4:The setting of the lodges was fabulous. The one bedroom lodge was spacious and very clean. The hot tub was a nice extra with great views. Saw a young bear early in the morning.
Review 5:The 20k drive in (8k of it was dirt) was exciting and unexpected. Don't let it put you off though! There is virtually no Wifi - embrace it and love the surroundings.
Review 6:The quality of accommodation and the surroundings are exceptional. We used the restaurant one evening (which was very popular) and the food and service was excellent.
Review 7:I wasn't aware that there were no stoves, and although the information indicated there was a toaster, I could not locate one, so any king of cooking was an issue.
Review 8:Beautiful location and accommodations.
Review 9:Generally fab, on-site restaurant tad over priced, and lots of mosquitoes
Review 10:Gorgeous location and top knotch accommodation, don't be put off by the road to the resort.
Review 11:Wish the restaurant wasn't so expensive, I don't choose to cook every night and would welcome the break. But it's just too high.
Review 12:Facilities beautiful, clean, well kept. Staff happy and well-cared for - clearly very content with their employers. Cabins perfectly equipped. Grounds well maintained. Love the free kayak/boat use. Love the bbq area & giant chess set. We love this place. Firm favourite.
Review 13:Nothing
Review 14:Fantastic location and layout of site, excellent restaurant and glorious food Kayaks provided for use whilst on site on a great swimming lake, wildlife, views and friendliness of staff
Review 15:Free wifi was semi-broken at the time and extremely slow even when it was working. On the other hand, should you really be checking email when you're in a deliberately isolated resort anyway? For me, it wasn't a big issue. The last 8 Kms of the road up to the resort are poor to bad with lots of washboard on the uphill path.
Review 16:The isolation and high quality of the facilities, restaurant and staff. If you wanted to watch TV, the satellite TV was 'stellar'. The restaurant was very good and would stand up well in any location - let alone in the semi-wilderness.
Review 17:Nothing, except maybe the drive up on a dirt road.
Review 18:Everything. New cottages, very clean, superb view. Good beds. It was so hot during our stay and we were very happy to be able to cool off in the lake. Free canoes and boats available.
Review 19:Very unfriendly staff at the reception. Noise level from other bedrooms/living room is high. The last 8 km to the resort are dirt road, so on a rainy day its no fun.
Review 20:Very nice location. The new chalets are really nice and spacy with a beautiful view over the lake! Would have loved to stay for a few more nights.
Review 21:48km roundtrip to a shop or restaurant. Onsite restaurant had a limited dinner menu and we had no idea there would be no small shop to purchase supplies.
Review 22:Beautiful spot,and cabin great.
Review 23:This place is just gorgeous. We only wish we could have stayed longer than overnight. We saw 4 black Bears and 2 of them were cute Cubs!!! Such a highlight of our entire 5 week trip. We would love to return one day. Spectacular location and the cabins are beautifully fitted out.
