Reviews for Hotel & Restaurant Schwarzer Bock

Review 1:Our room should have had a king-sized bed, and it was a queen-sized; we paid 225 Euro per night, which is a lot for a hotel with no elevator.

Review 2:Most important: the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were grateful to be at a perfect location for the Bach festival. The breakfasts were great, and the dinner we had there was excellent as well. We liked having a Nespresso machine in the room!

Review 3:Perhaps it would a good idea to have Little shelf in the shower room for soap and shampoo in room 28

Review 13:Very nice old town - and we liked the hotel.

Review 14:Parking was a little complicated. There were only 4 parking spacesallocated to the hotel. Additional parking was in an adjacent quadranglehowever at certain periods these are not available. The food was of aregional variety and cuisine normally available throughout Germanrestaurants was not on the menu, ie Pomme Frites, etc.

Review 15:Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was of a particularregional specialty.

Review 16:But the commodity of the hotel was not worth 115.00 euros. The nextnight I stay at a Best Western and I only pay 80.00euros, with a lotmore commodities. Price is too high for the quality of the hotel. Alsothe restaurant was on vacation????never saw this in a hotel... Did notlike it, will not recomend for romantic nights or special occasion, maybe for just a pass buy because also did not have ac.

Review 17:The ladie of the hotel did a lunch box for us and the location in theold city was convinience.

Review 18:I can't say anything bad about this hotel, because everything wasperfect. I saw a notice about a special 2 course "guest meal" which Ididn't find on the menu. But what I ordered was quite a treat to thepalate. The waitress was very polite and thoughtful- I felt at home.Really, I would recommend this lodging, and hope to come back if wevisit Ansbach.

Review 19:The welcome from the staff began with email and continued with eachstage: checking in, service in the dining room, all the questionsthat come up with traveling. As much as a lone traveler can say, Ifelt at home at this Inn and really appreciate the conscientious andattentive staff.

Review 20:My wife and I were driving from Zurich Switzerland to the Prague in the Czech Republic and since we took off late in the day we looked for a place somewhere near the middle of the route. We happened on the Schwarzer Bock by chance over the Internet. We both enjoyed a lovely stay and will definitely stay there again when in the vicinity!! The service was friendly and prompt. The accommodations were clean and more than adequate. The price was right. Ansbach is a jewel of a town. All in all a very pleasant experience that we hope to repeat.

Review 21:Only a couple parking spaces in front-had to park a little far from the hotel in the alstadt.

Review 22:Staff very welcoming and friendly. They also spoke English well. Free WiFi was a plus. Restaurant for lunch and breakfast were great. The server also prepared scrambled eggs with any ingredients you'd like.
